CHAPTER 32.

Sarah's POV.

A hug can cure a lot of things.

Sighing tiredly after working for a month I had started to forget all the bad moments of the week. For example when James asked for condoms and when dirty blonde wanted pills.

Pfft... You're thinking about it again, my conscience retorted.

Not now brain. Go away.

But in a way, my conscience was right. I was really thinking about that again and again. I was just so restless.

Dressed in an oversized men T-shirt ripped jeans, I was swinging my legs whilst sitting on a bench in the garden. Our last day was very eventful and by that I mean me, Zack, Leo and Lisa we strolled down the streets ate a lot of junk and also made fun of each other whilst drowning each other from the water in the bottle. The pair of twins were so adorable. The fought and quarrelled like 2-year-olds but that didn't stop Leo to scare of a creep who was shamelessly staring at Lisa.

I grinned at them. The lopsided grin and in return I got an adorable smile of the twins and a sexy wink of Zack.

This boy is flattering me.

I sigh as we walk out of garden whilst the twins having another argument of something I can't understand. I roll my eyes at their stupid fight and at their habit of saying things in unison. It was a twin thing really.

"Saraaaaahhhhh, please tell him strawberry is better than chocolate?" Lisa grumbled as she loops her arm with mine.

"Of course it is!" I grin and high five at that before she moves her hand to hit Leo and then I was almost tripping on a stone but Zack held me from waist to steady me.

His land lingered at my waist with a steady hold as we walked to the nearest ice-cream parlour.

"Twins stop kicking each other!" I laugh throwing my head back and almost forgetting how the warm hands on my waist are missing.

"Fine!" Lisa mumbles taking a big bite of her ice cream, which I might add was strawberry.

"Which school are you going in?"

"We go to Lakewood high." Zack replied motioning between him and me while I was moaning on my strawberry ice cream.

Oops. Moaning isn't bad, is it?

"Woah that's great. I think we are gonna be senior year buddies." Lisa and Leo grinned as she spoke.

"How come. Where were you studying until now?" I questioned them.

"We go to Palm Valley! We really want to get out of that hell hole and shit politics hence the transfer to Lakewood High." She beams flipping her shoulder length hair and I clasped my hands together.

"Sure, we need new people, the old ones are turning into idiots!" I roll my eyes and then smile.

"Stop rolling your eyes, they might get stuck behind." Zack rested his hands on my waist and whispered this in my ear which only caused me to lean down on the table but his hand stayed put.

A cold shiver ran down my spine although his hands were warm. I may be beginning to like how his hand rests on me.

After the ice cream, the twins bid bye and promised to meet up later while I tried hopping towards Zack's car which only resulted in me tripping again. For the third time today, Zack's strong arms steadied me and again from the waist.

"I think you're beginning to like that I hold you all the time." He winks and flashes me sexy boyish smile.

You used sexy as an adjective.

Ugh, not now conscience.

But you shut me every time.

Because it's required now see you never. I was having a mental talk to myself.

Never say never.

Did you just quote Justin Bieber? I think my jaw dropped down.

Yes, I-

Get lost conscience.

"I would rather fall!" I shoot him a smirk.

"Bleh. Whatever makes you sleep at night." He said and I stuck out my tongue at him. Zack's loud ringtone breaks our banter and he sighs before picking it up.

A sly grin spread on my lips after he disconnected his call. He needed a date for something.

"Let's get going." I walked towards the passenger seat.

"Uhh, Sarah, I needed to ask something." A grin appeared on my face as I back faced him.

"Ask away." I was about to turn but secured me in a back hug.

Mhmmm, what's with the back hugs now.

"Will you come to me to the fundraiser charity event ball as my date!"

Sparks. His warm breath was fanning my cheek.

"Nuh-uh. I will have to wear a dress and heels and I don't own any." Yeah, that's the decent way of saying no.

I chuckle at my own reason in my mind.

"It's a pathetic reason." He scowls as he let me turn.

"Mhmm."

"I'll get you food." He smiled.

"Nope." I was cribbing really.

"How about cheese pizza?" My mouth watered at his option but I didn't show it. I kept the facade on.

I laughed at that.

"Cherry, Will you pretty please come with me to the ball?" He gave me his best puppy face and his big innocent eyes bore into my own.

I knew that he knew I will give in to his puppy face antiques.

"Fine." I huffed as he pulled my cheeks.

He dialled his grandma and confirmed that I am coming in.

"What would you do without me?" I smirk and place my hands on my hips.

"Something along the lines of talking to another best friend."

"You dumbegg." I giggle as I hit him on the side of the head.

"Nahh I am just kidding, I would be such a loner." And just like that, he wraps his hands on my shoulder.

And then a small smile etched on my lips.

Later when we reached home he called out to me from the car, "We leave Tuesday morning." And he sped away without a second glance.
