CHAPTER 46
Sarah's POV.
There is no time better than spending it with the people you love.
âââ
(Sarah's outfit above xx)
"Ready?"
"Yeah." I smiled at Zack.
"Then let's get going." He draped his hand on my shoulder guiding me out of the room.
We were all going on lunch, the cousin saga.
I cracked up mentally at that.
I was dressed in a black crop tank top with blue washed jeans and a grey cardigan.
Comfortable > classy. That's my mantra if you beg to differ, well, that's not my problem.
I slip on my converse as we left the room.
We went to a cafe nearby called Rhapsody. It had a nice tune. We had a great time sitting there and throwing snarky remark at each other. The boys threw dirty comments and we girls threw some sass, it was a deadly combination. The one that I love. The happy faces, the melodious laughter, the sassy comebacks and the playful glares were my favourite.
"What you thinking about?" Zack whispered as the bickering went back and forth between all of the couples.
I took a moment to look at his hazel eyes.
"Why is Rose calling you?" I blurt without thinking.
Dude, you need a clock or a watch to see if it's the correct time.
I know conscience.
Duhhhh.
Duhhhh.
"She has been calling me to gain sympathy despite me explaining to her I don't want anything to do with her." He sighed.
"She's what?" I loudly spoke as 6 heads turned towards us not uttering a single word.
"Jeez, she is playing the sympathy card." He shrugged tiredly.
"Whaaaaat for?" I questioned with confusion written all over my face.
"I don't know, maybe she has a rocky relationship right now. Ugh, she doesn't understand the meaning of staying away." He clenched his jaw and fisted his hands in frustration.
I sighed loudly.
"We are dating." He said slowly.
"Uhh, what?" I stammered while the six of them were gasping from the shock. Our booth was dead silent.
The quietest we have been in a long while.
"I told Rose that we are dating as in you aka Sarah Adams and me aka Zack Pearson." He said loudly earning a wild whistle from Garrett.
Not the right time Garrett.
We? Why?
Just whhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy?
I drew in a sharp breath asking what I didn't want to know, "Are we really dating?"
"Uhh well no. I just wanted to push her away." He scratched the back of his neck.
Hah. What the fucking fuck?
In my peripheral vision, I could Cameron slap his forehead and John shake his head while the girls seemed speechless and Garrett was gawking.
Soap opera much?
I think Netflix can show my life as a damned movie.
I turned my full focus back to him.
"Why would you do that?" I asked him as calmly as I could.
"She was not talking to me until she really needed to. I am just like her rebound you know. She is turning into someone I don't know, just hurtful female dog."
"Female dog? Did you just-" Cameron started laughing and so did others as a playful smile stretched on my lips.
"Yeah yeah, calling someone a bitch goes against my rules. So, female dog." He shrugged in embarrassment.
Cute.
Not now.
But look at him.
No.
Duhhh.
"What are we doing next?" I voiced as I tried to catch on the normal breathing.
"Packing?" Luna shrugged.
"Why? You all stay here then why pack?" I reasoned.
"Umm well, we may or may not be coming to Manhattan." She said grinning widely.
"Ooh. We will be in the senior year together?" I asked clapping my hands together.
"Ehh, yes." The boys high fived each other.
"So you're saying we are all going to the same damn school?"
"Hell yes baby girl." The girls cheered as we stepped out of the cafe.
"In for a dashing senior year." John yelled earning a cheer from all of us. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Garrett and Samantha talk. Boy, he has no idea he is secretly in a ride for crazy 10th grade as well.
When my eyes connected with Samantha I winked at her to which she grinned and went back talking to Garrett.
I turned to face all of them walking backwards. This is what I always wanted. A group of people who never cared, who never judged and who weren't bitchy. Finally, I'll have my people back in school.
Don't mind me I loved my friends back at home but hey it's complicated just like the Facebook relationship status.
I sigh as I think about them.
But anything that I am sure of is Nate. He is just going to be happy. After all, nobody loves the drama right?
"Nate is going to be so happy." Zack grinned.
"I know right." I grinned looking at cars passing by as we walked towards our car and in a second I was blindfolded.
"Holy fudgenuggets." I yelled and so did the girls in complete horror.
"Are you guys psychopaths?" Luna shrieked in front of me.
"100 percent." Tristee replied petrified.
And well the guys, they just laughed.
15 minutes later we pulled the car in some silent place. At least we reached, I can't wait to take off the folds.
Damn it.
Slowly the fold was set free and I took the sight in front of me. Woods.
We were in the woods.
Kidding you not.
I turned to look at the boys as they stood in line behind us.
"We thought that we should celebrate a great start to the great school year ahead. I mean we will see each other but hey, new year and new beginnings." John spoke grinning from ear to ear.
"Wohoooooo." We all cheered and ran into the woods.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wake up sleepyhead." I shook Zack from his slumber as we landed back in Manhattan.
"Move your butt brother." Garrett groaned from beside Zack.
I chucked as Zack groaned profanities under his breath and yet effortlessly made way down the aisle of people making their way out of the plane.
____________
Whatttt? Fake dating? Damnnnnnn.
And they're going to attend the same school. That definitely calls for a celebration.
