After Returning to Elementary School with My Memory the Result Was to Create a Harem
Episode 7 Shindou Tsubasa
Tomboy upper-grade(wo)man
~Stairway Edition~
âN, fu ~aâ¦â¦â
Tsubasaâs sigh echoed in the stairway where there were only the two of them.
âIt feels good â¦â¦n ~tsu.â
On the stairway leading to an unused rooftop. Tsubasa and Kyouichirou were doing a secret play at a spot that was invisible from the floor below.
Tsubasa pulls up her T-shirt and reveals her chest, with a face dyed red out of shame.
Her breathing is rough and and the voice she is desperately supressing is ready to leak out at any time.
âTsubasa is really cute. To be inviting me herself.â
Kyouichirou smiled wickedly and teased Tsubasa, while tracing her body with his index finger.
âU ~u. Donât say it. Youâre the one who said you would do it at anytime, no?â
I can hear the sound of Tsubasaâs heartbeat. And the proof of her excitement can be felt through my fingers.
Four days have already passed since the oath was made with Tsubasa. And everyday, Tsubasa had been showing her chest to Kyouichirou.
An oath where she would do anything he ask for. However, Tsubasa now fetched Kyouichirou form his classroom during lunch break.
It is only an act where Tsubasa put out her chest and Kyouichirou touched them lightly. However, for the elementary schooler Tsubasa Shindou, it seemed the pleasure is too addictively sweet. Kyouichirou doesnât even try to go further because he find Tsubasa too cute.
âBy the way, your clothes today are pretty. You look wonderful.â
I gave a casual glance at Tsubasaâs wear today.
For Tsubasa, wearing T-shirts and shorts would be what are considered to be in character, and she would stand out among her fellow class-girls.
The shirt â to be worn by boys â with unclear english letters have been changed to a light pink girlish one, and her shorts have also been replaced by denim hot pants thatâs trendy among girls recently.
âRe-really? â¦â¦I bought this last time. How are they? Are they strange?â
For an elementary school boy, it is a small change that they may have not noticed. However, Kyouichirou is able to easily understand that Tsubasa is dressed this way just for him. Whom else would she do it for?
âItâs not strange. Itâs cute. Youâre lovely.â
I gently brush my hand on her head. Tsubasaâs smooth hair pass through my fingers without getting caught between them.
âNn, â¦â¦thatâs good then. Because this is the first time I dressed this way.â
Giggling with a childish ehehe, Tsubasa shyly look down.
âThese pants are in fashion. Tsubasaâs legs are beautiful. They look pretty.â
After seeing it, Kyouichirou gently touches her thighs. Gently stroking the inside from her knee to her crotch.
âHi ~ya~tsu. Itâs ticklish.â
Tsubasa squirmed around and twist her body to escape from Kyouichirouâs grasps.
âIt feels nice. Tsubasaâs skin is smooth and comfortable to touch.â
Kyouichirou hold tight Tsubasa who tries to ran away and while doing so, they were in a position with him holding her from behind.
âStay still now. Running away is no good okay.â
He move his arms forward and let his palms enter into the gaps of Tsubasaâs shirt.
âN ~tsu, but, itâs ticklish, fu ~a ~tsu â¦â¦n ~u ~tsu.â
Whether Tsubasa feels ticklish or embarassed, Kyouichirou keeps molesting her anyway.
Kyouichirouâs hands are now inside Tsubasaâs clothes. He keeps rubbing her body with all his fingers.
âA, â¦â¦it tickles. N ~u ~u. A ~tsu.â
With both hands inside, he tenderly keeps rubbing her body. He canât see from behind, but Kyouichirou can feel that both of them are standing upright from the pleasurable sensation they both feel.
âTsubasaâs nipples are cute. They get hard as soon as I touch them.â
âDonât, donât put it that way. I canât help it, n ~tsu â¦â¦itâs because, youâre keep touching them. A ~u ~tsu.â
Tsubasaâs eyes were halfway teary as she refute Kyouichirouâs claim. Her ears are so red that he can see it from behind.
âThatâs right. Letâs go out to play together.â
Looking at such a Tsubasa, a idea suddenly poped up into Kyouichirouâs head.
âFu ~eh? thatâs fine. But isnât that, you know â¦â¦a date?â
Tsubasa is confused by the sudden proposal, but she immediately understood what he really mean. Embarrassment and expectations were mixed in her voice.
âThatâs right. Itâs a date. How does during this weekend sounds?â
Kyouichirou recollect his weekendâs schedule while playing with Tsubasaâs chest. Yeah, there are no schedule with anyone.
âN ~tsu, n ~u. Wait, wait a little. A ~tsu â¦â¦ta-time time. Hii ~u ~tsu.â
Perhaps because he was distracted, Kyouichirouâs fingers pinched Tsubasaâs nipples strongly. He pulled her nipples for as far as they could stretch.
âSorry, does that hurt?â
Tsubasa was quivering pityfully as she desperately cling onto him. Her nipples are hot, and when touched, they feel especially cute and even seemed to throb.
âNo, Iâm fine. But d-date? Ehehe, weâre going on a date.â
Tsubasa couldnât hold it in and she broke out into a smile, and laughed with a fluffy feeling inside.
âEhehe â¦â¦Oh, I think itâs okay if itâs either Saturday or Sunday. Iâll ask my mom about it, is it okay to reply then?â
Tsubasa is wondering how she should go about with it, and began to seriously ponder. The thing is, an elementary school student cannot move so freely when going into town.
âOk. Iâm fine with either days. Iâll talk to you again.â
Kyouichirou took out his phone and checked the amount of battery left. He have been overusing it to play games, spending more than half the battery in the morning already. Things like these should be used well, otherwise itâs sad when they are just wasted not serving their purpose (the phone).
âI understand. Iâll let you know as soon as itâs clear. Right away â¦â¦Kyouichirou too should reply as soon as you hear from me. No excuses.â
Tsubasa also takes out her phone and checks the time. Lunch break is almost over.
After exchanging IDs on their mobile chat app, Kyouichirou chat with Tsubasa every day. Tsubasa was caught once during class and her phone confiscated, so we decided not chat anymore during class, but instead a message was sent on every break.
What are you doing? Is the thing we mosty send first. But we donât simply stop once we started. After all, Tsubasa cannot always go to Kyouichirouâs classroom, being of different grades and all. Itâs nothing burdensome if Tsubasaâs loneliness can be quelled even if only a bit with such action.
When I saw Tsubasa smiling happily, I got a new message. Not from Tsubasa.
The message is from Satsuki. Speaking of which, I havenât been seeing Satsuki the last 5 days. There seems to be a mock exam coming up, and Satsuki, who is also taking the test, complained that she had no time to ârelaxâ. Being the student council President and having to prepare for the mock exams would to be very tough indeed, I thought to myself.
The exam should have ended yesterday, and this summon should be for the sake of taking a breather after a long time.
âIâm sorry Tsubasa, I canât walk you home today. I have a business to attend to.â
Tsubasa seemed a little sad when I told her that. However, she nodded when I remind her of the date the coming weekend.
Looking at Tsubasa giving such a lonely expression, Kyouichirou smiled unintentionally.
_______________________________________________________________
While listening to the sound of clothes rustling behind, Kyouichirou looked down at his mobile screen.
It shows that one e-mail was received and several messages in the chat app.
The chat was from Tsubasa.
<I am looking forward to it!ã
<Iâm really looking forward to it too!ã
The last meesage was sent exactly 5 minutes after the previous one.
After confirming that it had been read, I bring up the keypad on the screen and tried to write a reply immediately.
âOh, youâre going out to play.â
The moment I touch the screen, a voice came from near my head.
Satsuki Shijouin is looking at the screen with a cheerful face, putting her rich breast on the back of Kyouichirouâs head.
âDonât you know to not peek at otherâs phone without permission?â
Kyouichirou stared unapprovingly at Satsuki while putting his mobile phone in his pocket.
âWhat is this elementary schooler saying. Itâs supervision of course, supervision. I donât know what kind of misconduct you might be doing elsewhere.â
Recently, Satsuki seemed to act more and more dubiously. She talked and laughed a lot more, and she even stroked Kyouichirouâs head while grinning.
You probably wonât be able to imagine that she is someone who had been trying to push a dildo into her ass hole a while ago, just looking at her appearance. Her completely disheveled appearance from earlier is now back to that of the respectable student council president.
âBut, itâs a bit surprising. You have a friend you could play with on a holiday with. Tsubasa-kun, Heâs a good boy Iâm sure,â
âI have lots of friends you know. Why, do I look like a lonely person to you?â
Kyouichirou hesitates to move his head away when he felt the weight of Satsukiâs chest coming down from on top.
âThatâs not it, I simply think that youâre a little precocious, and cunning, not exactly the right definition of an elementary school student. Just think about it.â
âOh, I got to know them through bokemon. This one. I have a lot of friends.â
I exaggeartedly push up Satsukiâs chest with both hands. Satsuki, who is starteld by the action stand up straight to excuse herself.
âBokemon? Oh, that game is still in service. Itâs been there since I was in elementary school. Whatâs so interesting about it?â
Kyouichirou also stood up straight. He looked back while his breathing gets a little rougher.
âItâs takes time to do it really well. You have to carefully select your monsters, and it requires about half a month before one becomes strong enough.â
âIn other words, itâs a complete waste of time. Well, you are an elementary school student. I am someone who believes a student should be studying. And playing outside is also a study for you so, all is well.â
My hobbies are laughed at right in front of me and I feel annoyed about it. Kyouichirou knew from experience, however, that it is useless to say anything to a girl like her.
What this Satsuki, a junior high school student, is saying is like one you would hear from a nagging mother.
âIâm ignoring you. Wait, what do you usually do after school?â
Speaking of which, I do not know of anything about the girl named Satsuki Shijouin. Kyouichirou thought so and suddenly became interested.
âAfter school? Well, the student council work usually goes around till 6 oâclock. Sometimes, Iâll take a break with you, but I usually went straight home. Thatâs usually how my days goes.â
Satsuki puts both hands on her chin and tells him that as if itâs the most natural way to spend oneâs time after school.
âEh? Then what did you usually do on your days off?â
Notwithstanding, Kyouichirou continues to ask Satsuki. He had a bad premonition about it though.
âI had some lessons outside until second grade, but I quit when I was third grade. In addition, it is important to go out sometimes, so I visited the library to study there. Sometimes I go to a coffee shop. But I never stayed too long, and after grabbing a snack Iâm back at the library again. â
Kyouichirou is listening to Satsukiâs words as if it was completely incomprehensible. Thatâs how incredibly stupid he though her story is.â
âIsnât that stupid? The spring of your youth, you junior high school days are almost over you know.â¦â¦Wow, I feel a little sorry for you President. Iâm appalled.â
Kyouichirou move away a little from Satsuki as he suddenly wondered if his attitude might irritate her, and yes, he most certainly do.
âHow rude. What are you saying to a girls? Get this. How hard you worked as a student will determine what will happen to you in your life. Those who are playing around will have have an appropriate future too. Remember that.â
Bursting out without a pause, as if a parent is scolding her child. Kyouichirou saw Satsuki pride, and noticed something obvious he should have notice earlier.
Satsuki is still just a junior high school student.
ââ¦Haa. Thatâs not true President. Of course itâs important to study. However, what heights you reached in your life depends on how much you do, and what you can actually do.â
Just how should I explain this so she understands? Stupid things, nice things, good, bad, things you donât even know if they would ever come in handy. It is the childâs task to experience various things and learn from them. This includes studying, of course, but thatâs just one out of many things to do.
âNow, now, donât talk about things you donât even understand. Youâre so twisted at such a young age already that Iâm worried about your future.â
It seems, however, that Kyouichirouâs heartfelt words do not reach Satsuki. No wonder. It is difficult to change the minds of a girl her age, and not only that, Kyouichirouâs current looks is not all that persuasive.
ââ¦â¦Nã¼ alright then! President, would you follow me for a bit after school today?â
Kyouichirou clapped his hands and stared at Satsuki. Satsuki looked back at him with her eyebrows raised in mild approval.
_______________________________________________________________
âWhere are you taking me? Iâm in my uniform too. Besides that, you and I are neither lovers nor friends.â
Satsuki was pouting her lips while looking around the area.
Currently, Kyouichiro and Satsuki are walking in an arcade district near the school. In this age, it is still a vibrant shopping street. There were students in various uniforms here and there.
âSo youâre saying we only have a physical relationship? Thatâs cold. Iâm hurt.â
Kyouichirou makes a disappointed remark, spreading his hands out exaggeratedly. In fact, his heart really does hurt a little.
A month has already passed since he had been with Satsuki, but the number of times he had unravel Satsukiâs elementary school years like today is surprisingly few, despite the passionate time they spent every time that is.
To Satsuki, her interactions with Kyouichirou is purely just to distract herself from reality. For this reason, she avoid investing more than a certain amount of emotion in ther relationship.
Thatâs fine and all, but Satsuki is already a candidate for Kyouichirouâs harem. He wants to cherish his everyday interactions with her, and so, he absolutely canât overlook the fact that sheâs thinking too simply of their relationship.
ââ¦Iâm grateful to you. You keep up with my antics and didnât tell anyone about it. However, I donât think itâs good for us to get too close. I like the current relationship we have.â
Satsuki muttered while walking in the crowd.
âI thought otherwise though. I want to get closer to President. Iâm already doing that, but I think I want to be more than a friend to you.â
Kyouichirou does not turn around. He understand what Satsuki is saying and he can understand her feelings.
âHere it is. Youâve never been here, right?â
However, he is worried about her.
_______________________________________________________________
âIs this a game center?â
Satsukiâs eyebrows rose.
âIâve been wondering where youâll be taking me⦠Unlike you, Iâm in my uniform. You can play here butâ¦â¦wait, wait?â
He push on Satsukiâs back as she just stood at the entrance.
âYouâre overthinking. Look, thereâs a lot of people in uniform. Itâs okay.â
Should I say, âas expected of a student council president?â Her inflexible way of thought is really troublesome.
However, once inside, Satsuki lost her adult-like demeanor. She walks with a bright face, and looks around brimming with interest. After all, she had never been to a place like this.
âItâs a more decent place than Iâve heard. I was imagining a place with ashtray and an unfriendly clamour all around.â
Satsuki looks like sheâs a bit out of touch. How many years ago is the arcade store in her head from?
âItâs not like in the Showa era. There is a healthy community here.â
Kyouichirou cared for his favorite shops. There doesnât seem to be anyone he knew here, so it is just the right place to bring the President on a date.
âOh, I know this. UFO catcher. You get the prize if you can grab it.â
Satsuki stared into the glass box near the entrance.
âItâs pretty cute. Why did they give this stuffed animal a strangely crushed face? I donât get it at all.â
In front of Satsuki, several stuffed animals like a yellow kappa lay. Certainly, it won the character popularity poll in a local area. Was it in Ehime prefecture? Kyouichirou wonât know about it if he havenât watched TV more often recently.
âSo, want this. Why donât President-san try it? Look, it is about to fall conveniently.â
It seemed that it will drop easily given its current position. So, it seems that the prize can be scored in just one try.
â â¦Youâre right. Iâve here anyway, and Iâd feel bad for the store to leave without doing anything.â
After some thought, Satsuki took out her wallet from her bag. It is a pink leathered wallet.
âI just need to grab that doll. It will be easy.â
She spends a hundred yen and looks at the crane that has begun to move along with a cheerful music.
âThis makes the arm go left, and this is makes the it go forward.â
Satsuki pressed the button surprisingly familiarly and moved the crane right over the stuffed animal.
âLook, itâs right on. This is easy.â
Satsuki looks back at Kyouichirou. Sheâs proud about it now but nevertheless, the prize hasnât fallen yet.
âLook! I got it! Look! Look!â
Satsuki points at the stuffed animal that is yet to be won. Kyouichirou imagined what Satsukiâs expression would be like a few seconds later, and flashed a slightly mean smile.
Gakun.
The crane made such sound on impact as it reached the top. As a matter of course, the stuffed-doll fell straight back down.
âWait, what the hell! Itâs a scam! This isnât right!â
Satsuki failed to catch the prey right in front of her. Sheâs terribly upset. Until a second ago, she had a very joyful expression too. Now sheâs prattling like a child who just realise how cruel the world is.
âAh, isnât the strength of the arm too weak? It seems impossible to just raise to up.â
Then he called out to Satsuki while desperately trying to hold his laughter.
âThe store obviously intenden for this. Itâs a scam. Thereâs no way to get it â¦â¦You, whatâs so funny? Right in front of you, right here, I just lost a 100 yen to a scam!â
Satsuki stares at Kyouichirou, who eventually leaked his laughter because he canât hold it anymore. If he wait any longer, it seemed that she will go to complain to the storeâs employees.
âNo, no, President. Please, take a look.â
âHey, stop it. Youâve seen it donât you. Itâs a waste of money.â
He put in a 100 yen coin right under Satsukiâs watch. Ahã¼ Satsuki screams, but his attention is already on the controllers.
âWhere are you aiming at? Youâre too far left. Youâre worse than me.â
âItâs fine, itâs fine.â
The crane stopped before the stuffed animal. It stood in a position where only its right arm will be hooked.
As expected, the crane grabbed the right arm of the stuffed animal.
Just like that, the it is dragged all the way into the goal.
âEh, no way. Is that okay? Itâs not a foul? It wasnât lifted.â
âYou just have to make it fall into the goal. You donât have to actually lift it. Right, you can have this.â
After fetching the stuffed animal from the outlet, Kyouichirou handed it to Satsuki.
âUh â¦â¦thank you.â
Satsuki receives it a little grumpily. However, she didnât hide her joy and shyness about it.
âEven in this place, you have to use your brains. Everyone can play safely and happily.â
âAnd yet, they try to wring money from clueless beginners. Itâs really ridiculous.â
Satsuki says grumpily at Kyouichirouâs declaration, and he stares at her as if imploring something of her.
ââ¦â¦I get it already. Iâll go out with you today. Letâs enjoy ourselves thoroughly.â
Satsuki gave up as if she could not bear the silent gaze of the little boy.
_______________________________________________________________
âAhã¼ that was fun, but now Iâm hungry. Itâs about time for dinner, right?â
Satsuki looked back at the arcade center where she had been playing so far, and stretch out her arms.
After all, they have been playing for the last two hours. Not only crane games, but also experiential games such as shooting and racing games.
He wanted to commemorate their day with a shot in the photo booth, but that was posponed for later when another opportunity arises as Satsuki proposed. Kyouichirou cared about the opinions of his women, so he abide.
âIf President is good with it, letâs go eat. My treat.â
While walking side by side, Kyouichirou suggests to Satsuki. They were holding hands.
âI canât afford to let an elementary schooler pay for me. Or rather, you have a lot of pocket money.â
Satsukiâs eyes as she stare at Kyouichirou contain a hit of suspicion. But thereâs no way he can say heâs making money using his foreknowledge about the future.
That said, there isnât much that can be done by the current Kyouichirou. At best, he can collect cards whose prize will go up in future. Most of them are still waiting for that, and are far being cashed out.
Currently his fund mainly comes from Bokemon. He raised strong characters and sold to the boys at school for around 500 to 1,000 yen per character. Kyouichirou is not likely to be banned from doing so because his area of activity is very localised.
âWell, thatâs because I didnât use my new yearâs money at all. Thereâs still quite a bit left over too.â
âHmm. Well, itâs good that you didnât waste them. Use it with care.â
Satsuki was convinced by that, and she did ask any more about his money.
âIt canât be a place thatâs too expensive, so why donât we go to a store I frequent?â
âFine by me. I donât know this area well. So Iâll leave it to you.â
When Kyouichirou heard that, he pats his belly as it was about to release a growl.
_______________________________________________________________
âOh, Kyou-kun. Youâre with your sister today?â
The spirited voice of the shop owner echoes from over the counter.
âNo way. Just look at us, we arenât alike at all.â
Kyouichirou sat on the fixed red round chair and shouted, looking at Satsuki.
The store interior is quite greasy. with damp air, and the characteristic smell of something thatâs boiled down.
Kyouichirou brought Satsuki to a certain ramen shop in the shopping district.
âOoh, so this child, is this Kyou-kunâs girlfriend? No way, I really canât underestimate you at all.â
The shopkeeper, who tied his head with a towel, laughs brightly and seriously appraise Satsuki.
âNo, Iâm just Kyouichirou-kunâs senpai.â
Satsuki sat down, confused as she suddenly got swept up with the flow of the two conversing.
âWell, thatâs how it is. Shop owner, two bowls of ramen.â
Looking at Kyouichirou who ordered ramen so familiarly, Satsuki askes him in a low voice.
âHey. Do you come here often?â
Satsuki looked around the store from a while ago, and was somewhat restless.
âItâs quite here. And has a nostalgic feel. Whatâs the matter President?â
This is one of the few places available for Kyouichirou to feel his previous life. He came here many times during his junior-high school and high school days. His joy when he found out that the store is already open now cannot be conveyed to anyone else.
âItâs not that. Iâve never been to a ramen store before. The shop has a nice feel to it.â
Satsuki stared at the shiny floor, and put her bag on her laps as she sat down.
âEeã¼eh? Youâre serious? Youâve never eaten ramen before?!â
Kyouichirou exclaimed in surprise while the shop owner seemed to have heard him.
âHow unusual! Iâm glad. To think this uncleâs ramen would be your first bowl of ramen. I will will make extra sure you would be delighted with it.â
The owner looks back at Satsuki with surprise in his eyes. Satsuki stared at Kyouichirou, worried if she had said something strange.
âIs it that unusual? I donât go out from home often. Iâve never been to a ramen shop either.â
âWow, thatâs an ojou-sama for you. You shouldnât talk too much like that outside.â
Kyouichirou is still staring at Satsuki with his mouth wide open.
If he went out to play, ramen. When heâs feeling lonely, ramen. Hanging out with friends, ramen. Getting a lecture about life from papa, ramen. For Kyouichirou, who has lived with ramen, Satsuki felt like an alien.
âWell, then itâs a good thing that you came here today. Never having eaten ramen is like losing half of you life. Dangerous, dangerous.â
âReally? Iâm getting meek about eating it somehow.â
While talking about that, the ramen bowl was offered in front of them. One of the good things about going for ramen is that they are ready quickly.
âHere. Being this girlâs first ramen bowl, I added extra char siu (roasted pork fillet) as a service.â
Comparing their bowls, Satsukiâs bowl clearly has a large number of char siu. It feels like they contain more meat than noodles even.
âEh, Thank you. And Iâm sorry to bother you.â
When Satsuki receives the donburi (Japanese rice bowl dish), she cast her gaze on a bowl of ramen for the first time in her life.
Whiteish soup. Bright green onions on the steamed noodles. The char siu, even protruding out from the bowl, bending a little as if to show off its softness.
A unique smell wafts through Satsukiâs nose. Oddly, to Satsuki, âsmellâ have always been simply another feature of her physiology. However, for some reason this same smell now stimulate her appetite. It is another first for her.
ââ¦â¦Mmm. The ramen here really is the best. The first branch will be out within ten years. Shop keeper, I can guarantee that.â
The fellow customer right next to him has already begun to stuff her mouth with ramen and was having an emotionally wonderful time.
I wonder if it will be really delicious? A small doubt passed by Satsukiâs head.
Satsuki was a bit reluctant to eat it at first, as Kyouichirou already raised the bar of her expectations really high. He flatter them so much already, almost describing them as something only found in the heavens in advance, that it almost seemed impossible to reach her expectations.
However, if they are even half as good as he describes, then there wonât be anything better. Satsuki grabbed her chopsticks resolutely, and have her first bite of the dish.
âã¼ã¼ã¼ã¼Um!?â
The moment she put it in my mouth, a sensation Satsuki had never felt before ran all over my body.
âââmmmn!?! â¦â¦Slurp.ã¼ã¼ã¼ã¼ã¼mnnn!?!â
Her mouth takes the next bite before she even realises it to convey the emotion that cannot be put into words.
Delicious. Satsuki can only give that impression due to her lack of vocabulary. No, the words to perfectly describe them couldnât possibly exist, she thought.
âTheyâre good you know. This thick pork bone soup. It is called Kurume Tonkotsu. Itâs has a little odour here, but the real smell is more intense. The pork is simmered in a large pot and carefully turned at the right time to get this juicy sensation. Itâs awesome isnât it, look at this backfat (fatty upper part of roast pork), Iâm arguing that this isnât enough. How sinful. It is done so to make it healthy, but I donât think that a ramen is something that can have a bad impact to its eaterâs health. If Iâm not eating ramen, then Iâm probably doing bad things somewhere right now, maybe shortening my life even. Such accidents are called the ramenâs purge. Soâ¦â¦â
Kyouichirou, who had a strange mood next to her, was talking long and hard, but none were registered in Satsukiâs head.
Her chopsticks never stopped. As Kyouichirou put it, she ate this âdestructiveâ taste for the first time. The impact of the taste was as if a fist is driven right into her brain. It is a taste she canât even compare all the things sheâs ever had.
âSo, President, that is where the greatness of ramen come from â¦â¦Donât you know that we can get seconds here?â
Kyouichirou laughed at her.
_______________________________________________________________
âAah, I ate well, I ate well. Iâm really is the best, the ramen from there.â
âYouâre right. But you know, wonât adding garlic enhance the flavor even more? I want to try it. Really greedy, arenât we.â
Two people walk on a dim street.
Satsuki turned down Kyouichirouâs offer to send her home. The direction of the nearest station and his home are different, and he would be home too late then. Kyouichirou is also a âweakâ elementary school student. So she shouldnât show such obstinancy.
âHow was it? We simply played around all evening. Itâs fun isnât it? This city is nice too.â
On the way back to the station, he couldnât make out the exact expression Satsuki has against the dim backlight.
âYesâ¦â¦it was fun.â
Satsuki looked back on today as she match her steps with Kyouichirouâs.
âI think, I understand a little bit now, about what you said then.â
Marching straight ahead, their feet continued to move towards the station. There is no faltering in her steps.
âThere are a lot of fun things everywhere. Just step out and youâll get right to them.â
Kyouichirou silently listen to Satsuki mulling over the eveningâs events. Somehow, they felt more gentle than usual.
âBut, itâs impossible for me. I still have to live the same life Iâve lifed before.â
Satsukiâs feet stop. They have arrived at the station. The bright lights literally takes Satsuki to another place.
âDonât be sad. And cheer up. Iâve always know that there were ordinary-everyday life and stuff, like today. And Iâm fine with that. Iâve never been interested in the life I cut myself off from, but Iâm glad now that I knew of them.â
Satsuki took out the pouch containing the pass from her bag. By the time the machine rings and the gate close, their separation will be eminent.
âLetâs hang out again some time. There are many more places I want to take you to.â
Kyouichirou called out from Satsukiâs back as she headed for the ticket gate.
ââ¦Yes, see you next time. Iâm looking forward to it.â
Kyouichirou keeps staring at Satsukiâs back as she gradually walk away.
