___________

A week had been past, Isha and Krish are hanging out in the garden. "Krish, remember how I climbed this tree but I didn't knew how to come down then I asked you for help but you declined." She pointed towards the tree, which was towering them. "So I started crying aloud, then you got scolding from your parents after some strangers complained you for not helping me." She laughed recalling the moment.

"Krish! Krish!" Isha called. Krish searched here and there to look who called him. "Krish! Look up!" Krish turned his face up, squinting his eyes as sun shone bright.

"Izhu! What are you doing up?" He asked, placing his palm above his eyes to cover them from sunlight.

"Sitting." She grinned as she swayed her legs happily.

"Come down!" Krish said. In response, Isha stuck her tongue out. "No!"

"Izhu come down or else you will fall and get hurt." Krish said, being concerned about her as she constantly keeps dancing and wiggling while sitting on tree.

"Izhuuu!" Krish called. Isha stuck her tongue out, teasing. He scoffed. "It's already 5.30 pm." He said, looking at his red-blue spiderman watch. "Isn't it time for your favorite cartoon?"

Isha's eyes widened hearing it. "Wait It's already 5.30?" He nodded quickly. "Wait for me! I'm coming down." Isha said, as she tries to come down but failed.

"No I am going, I don't want to miss it." Krish said, pretending to walk away.

"Krish waittttt!" She called, trying to climb down but failing. "Krish! Help me! I'm not able to come down."

Krish halted and turned towards her. "Come down the same way you climbed up."

"Mujhe chadhna aata hain, utarna nahi." She said pouting her lips.

[I only know who to climb up but not down.]

"Toh fir kisne kaha tha chadhne ke liye." He shook his head. "Khud utro niche."

[Then who asked you to climb.]

[Come down by yourself.]

"I can't, help me." She begged.

"No!" He turned his face in other direction, narrowing his eyes and folded his arms.

"Krish! Please." She request but he rejected again.

She requested him to help for several times but he declined each time. When she had enough of his rejection, she let out a loud cry purposely, trying to gain attention of elders near them.

Krish's eyes widened When he heard her cry. "Izhu! Stop crying!" He shouted to her but she didn't stopped instead she cried more louder.

Hearing her cry, some elders approached them. "Beta kya hua?" A man in his 30's asked to Isha, who was wiping her tears with her hand.

[Dear, what happened?]

"Unc...uncle.... He is not helping me." She pointed at Krish, who was standing bewildered. She sniffed. "I asked him to help me in climbing down since I was not able to but he said no."

Krish stood at his place with his mouth wide awake, processing her words. He turned towards the man. "Uncle, I told her to come down but she was the one who didn't listened."

Isha heard him and cried louder, as some more people gathered around. "He is lying."

That man glared at Krish. "You stay here." He told to Krish and went to the tree, helping Isha by picking her up in his arms and putting her down.

He Bend on his kness and wiped her tears. "Don't cry." He patted her head, then he turned towards Krish. "You. I want to your parents. This are the manners given to you by your parents?"

Krish glued at his place, his eyes shifted to Isha who chuckled but started her fake cry as soon as that man turned towards her. "But-"

"Krish!" His mom called, smiling, walking towards him with his dad. "Let's go home." Krish without wasting any other second, he ran to them.

Isha quickly hid behind the man when she recognize his parents. That man stood up, held Isha's hand and walked towards Krish parents.

"Sir, ma'am, aapke bete ne is bacchi ko rulaya." He complained. "She was stuck on the tree, and asked him for help but he declined. She could have fall from there."

[Sir, ma'am, your son made this girl cry.]

His mom turned towards Krish. "Is it true krish?" He shook his head in denial, trying to defend himself. "Maine tumhe yeh sikhaya hain? I taught you to help others, didn't I?"

[Have I taught you this? I taught you to help others, didn't I?"

Isha tried to interfere in between to save Krish when she saw his mom's angry expression. "Aunty-"

"Beta tum jao." That man said. She refused to go but he kept insisting her to go. She walked away and Krish watched her go. She stood at a distance, witnessing the conversation but not able to hear it.

Krish stood at his place, with his head down and tears in his eyes as he listened her mother's scolding. Isha looked at him with pity expression.

"Haan, Haan. Kon bhul sakhta hain voh." Krish said, rolling his eyes.

[Yes, yes, who can forget that.]

"Pehle mujhe bura laga tha par ab hasi aati hain." Isha laughed while Krish gave her a side eye.

[At first I used to feel sad but now I laugh recalling it.]

Isha went towards the tree, touching the hard, rought trunk of it, smiling. She thought of again climbing the tree, she slowly and steady push up, carefully she placed her foot.

"What are you doing?" Krish asked, as he supported her so she doesn't fall.

"Just wanted to sit here." Isha said, sitting on a branch. "Why don't you join me?"

"No thanks." He shook his head. She shrugged her shoulder. "Your wish." Krish watched her sitting, enjoying the view from up.

After a while, When she got bored, she tried to come down but failed. Seeing her struggling, Krish laughed. She narrowed her eyes at him. "Kya has rahe hain aap?"

[Why are you laughing?]

Krish shook his head, chuckling and watched her struggle to come down from a distance. "Dekh kya rahe hain aap, help kijye humari." She said.

[Don't just watch, help me.]

Krish smirked and thought of recreating the memory by shaking his head in head. "Come down the same way you climbed up."

Isha winced. "Mujhe chadhna aata hain, utarna nahi." Krish snorted hearing this and started walking away while stretching his arms. "Krish!"

[I only know how to climb up not down.]

"Haanji! Boliye." He turned towards her with a grin. "Please Krish! Help me." She called out for his help.

"Agar utarna aata nahi toh fir chadhi kyu aap?" He asked with a arched eyebrows, folding his arms.

[If you didn't knew how to climb down then why did you went up?]

"It's been a while I sat on a tree so I..." Isha's words trailed off when she realized his intention. "Samajh gayi main. Aap ko sirf us baat ka badla Lena hain na?" He didn't expect her to say this but still nodded at her words.

[I understood. You want to take revenge for that, right?]

"Accha baba, sorry!" She yelled from above. "Ab toh utar do."

[Now help me.]

"Nahii." He said, exaggerating the word.

"Thike fir na main chilla ti hu." His eyes widened knowing she will definitely shout if he didn't help her.

[Fine then I will shout.]

"Oooo madam! Rukiye, kar raha hu aapki help." He shook his head in disbelief and went to help her.

"Oooo madam! Stop, I am helping you.]

"Put your leg here." He said, guiding her as she puts her hand on his shoulder for support. The next moment, Isha was in air as Krish lifted her. Isha's heartbeat paced up as she stared at his face, admiring every feature of his face while her hands rested on his shoulder for support.

He placed her down as her feet touched the group, his moments stopped at It's track as he realized the distance between was close. His heart started beating fast, matching the rhythm of her's.

"Kitne besharam bacche hain!" The aunty scoffed with an angry expression as she dragged her child away with her, who was staring at them while eating his lollipop.

[How shameless kids are!]

Hearing her voice, they both pulled away from each other, flustered. They both looked away from each other unable to meet each other's eyes.

Krish cleared his throat. "We should go now!" Isha nodded. "Haan." She started walking ahead with fast pace.

Whereas Krish stayed at his place, trying to calm his heart. He placed his hand on his chest, feeling his heart racing. "Ae dil tujhe baar baar kya hojata hain usse dekh kar."

[Oh heart what happens to you whenever you see her.]

Pyaar. His inner voice spoke and he quickly shook his head. "Nahi pyaar nahi, sirf dost hain." He told himself and started walking towards her.

[Love.]

[No not love, she is just a friend.]

Is it really just a friendship or....?

________

Kritika stood outside Aditya's house, she rang the bell waiting for him to open the door. She rang the bell again, this time the door cracked opened and Aditya stood behind it, his eyes scanned her from head to toe as she moved uncomfortably in her position.

He finally met her gaze and smiled. "Kriti, you look pretty." He chuckled and welcomed her inside by stepping aside.

Kritika gave him a warm smile, stepping inside and looking at the interior of his house. "Let's go to my room." She nodded and He leaned her to his room. "Wait.. I will bring some snacks."

She looked around a bit in his room, she saw photo frames some kept on his study table, other hung on the wall and rest kept on night stand. She found two to three photos placed downwards, thinking they fell down she went to fix it.

She picked up the photo and she was stunned to see it, it was the photo of Aditya with Jay, them side hugging each other and laughing wholeheartedly. She went to pick other photos, they were also of him and Jay, they don't look like they are fighting inside look like they are best friends.

Hearing his footsteps, she quickly put the photos at their place how they were before. She moved away from there and Aditya entered. "What happened?" He asked when he saw lost in thoughts.

"Nothing." She replied awkwardly.

He placed the snacks on the small table and sat on bed. "Sit." He said, patting beside him, taking slow steps she sat and placed her bag beside.

He slightly shifted towards her, sensing the closeness she moved and again he shifted towards her, this time also she moved away. "Kritika, why are you going away?" He asked, frustratedly.

"I'm not comfortable yet." Kritika replied.

He rolled his eyes. "Come on Kritika! We have been dating for almost two months and you are saying you are not comfortable.." He scoffed. "By now, a couple would have kissed."

She sighed, looking down. "Why did you called me?" She asked, changing the topic.

"Ohh... yes because I wanted to learn dance from you." He smiled.

She nodded. "What type of dance?"

"Couple." She was taken aback by his reply but nodded slowly. "So will you teach me?"

"Haan sure." She warmly smiled. She toom his hand and made me stand. "Should we start now or later?"

"I don't mind right now." He said, shrugging his shoulder.

"Good let's start now." Kritika said.

Kritika guided him steps as he slowly gets adapted to it. "You have never dance before?" She asked when he made a mistake for several times. He shook his head. "OK fine."

Few minutes later, Kritika's phone rang. "Let's take a break now." She said, picking the call. She went towards the window, as she saw talking she felt his gaze on her, she turned around and asked him what happened by raising her eyebrow.

He shook his head and mouthed. "Nothing." Nodding her head, she again turned around and continued talking on phone as he continued staring at her from her back.

He took slow steps towards her, lifting his arms, he hugged her from behind and rested his face on her shoulder. Kritika flinched at the sudden closeness and tried to free himself from his grip.

But instead of letting her go, he slided his hand under tshirt. Her eyes widened, horrified, she quickly ended the call and pushed him away. "Aditya! What's this behavior?" She shouted.

"Stop shouting!" He said, closing his eyes in irritation. "And what? Am I not allowed to hug my girlfriend?"

"I already told you I am not comfortable in being touchy." She said, narrowing her eyes.

"Kritika, come on." He took a step towards her and she walked backwards and her back met with the wall of the room. He went close to her.

"Just once and believe me it is not bad." He said before grabbing her by her waist and bring his face closure to her to kiss while she struggled to get away from him. He started moving his hand down slowly, bringing tears in her eyes making her feel helpless.

Without thinking anything, she kicked him down there as he groaned in pain. "Tum pagal ho kya!" He roared in pain.

[Have you gone crazy?]

He took a step towards her but in return, she slapped him hard on cheek, she quickly grab her bag and ran away from his room. While he followed her, not able to meet her pace due to pain.

While running, she bumped hardly into table's sharp edge, making it bruises. She hissed and still continued running.

She opened his house door and ran away from there, tears streaming down from her eyes. She ran and ran until she saw a familiar figure and for some reason relief spread inside her chest.

Without hesitation, she headed towards that person and held the person's hand. She looked at him, crying and shaking. He turned towards her, his gaze softened and concerned. "Kriti, what happened?" He asked, concerned.

"He-he tried t-to tou-uch m-me." She sobbed as she felt his touch on her body.

"Who?" He asked, cupping her cheeks and wiping tears from it.

"A-aditya." She answered, her voice cracking.

He leaded her to near-by bench, making her seat as she cried. He brought a water bottle from a shop. "Drink it and calm down." He opened the bottle lid and handed it to her.

Water fell when she drink it due to her shaking hands, he took the bottle from her hand and made her drink the bottle. She coughed and he patted her back. "Shh... calm down, calm down."

He waited till her crying went silent, she sniffed, still shaking. He removed his jacket when he saw she was shorts.

His eyes fell on the on her knee while covering her legs. He looked for pharmacy close by and went to buy antibiotic and a bandage. He came back with a polythene and placed it on the bench beside her. She watched him doing all this silently.

"Now tell me what happened?" He asked, kneeling infront of her as he gentlely lift the jacket from her knee and took out the antibiotic from the bag and applying it on her cut.

"Jay..." She called and he looked up. "I went to him today at his house." He nodded and went to continue with applying cream. "At first, he tried coming closure to me but I said no, I am uncomfortable." She sniffed.

He removed bandage from the bag and applied it carefully as she hissed. "Later I was talking on a call with my friend... at that he tried to hug to me, I asked him to leave me but he won't instead he...." She paused.

"He?" He asked, calmly.

"He slided his hand inside my tshirt." Jay looked up, directly in her eyes, giving her goosebumps. "Then he tried to kiss me forcefully by touching me inappropriately." Tears again swelled in her eyes, recalling the incident. Jay's jaw clenched, hearing this.

"Kritika." He said, taking a seat beside her. She looked at him asking him to continue. "Why did you came to me?" He asked, looking at the ground.

"Huh?" She confused by his question.

"Why did you came to me? Why are you telling me about him? According to you, I am a bad person who is the one who harasses girls. That's what you think, right?" He looked at her.

She opened her mouth but no words came out. She questioned to herself, Why did she felt relieved after seeing him? Why did she told him about this? Isn't he the same Aditya? Maybe no. Definitely no, he is not like Aditya. "I-I..." No words came.

Jay stood up from the seat. "Call your dad or someone you know and get home safely." He started walking towards his car.

He stopped on his track when Kritika held his hand. "Please Jay." She whispered. "I am sorry." She looked at her lap, where his jacket was lying. "Stay."

He turned back to look at her, he could not see her in such state. He sighed and returned back to his seat, her hands still holding his as clutch it tightly.

"I can't go home right now." She said.

"Why?"

She hesitated. "I... I...." She closed her eyes. "I lied to my parents saying that I was going to coaching class but I went to his house."

"Gosh Kritika Shah!" He rubbed his palm on his face. He was about to scold her but stopped when he saw her shaking and closing her eyes.

"You go to your coaching wearing such clothes?" He asked, as he take a look at her outfit. Light blue one sided off-shoulder top paired with denims shorts.

She shook her head. "So you changed your clothes?" She nodded slowly. "God Kritika!" He sighed.

"I'm sorry." She apologise with her voice above a whisper.

"Kritika, you know your sorry isn't going to fix the trust of your parents that they have on you." He said. "Your parents must have been thinking my daughter is in coaching studying and here you were doing this."

Hearing his words, she started crying again. "Kritika, stop crying or else others will think I am making you cry and you will get me beaten up." Jay said, as he looked around and saw people looking at them, more specifically glaring at Jay.

She nodded and quickly wiped her tears with free hand while her other yet held Jay's hand. "Jay, can I ask you something?" He nodded.

"Were you and Aditya friends?" He was taken aback by her question.

"We're you and Aditya friends before?" She repeated. Jay sighed and hesitatedly nodded.

"So what happened between you two?" She asked curiously.

"What happened was...." He gulped.

______

Rhea is sitting infront of Yash, whose whole attention was on his books. Rhea feeling bored, started drawing doodles in her notebook.

"Rhea, I thought you came at my house for studying since you were not able to focus at yours." He said, when he saw her doodling.

"How can I focus when you sitting infront of me." Rhea whispered.

Yash was shocked and flushed after hearing her words enough though her voice was low. Instead of making comment on it, he asked her to repeat. "What?"

"Nothing." She sighed in relief that he didn't heard it.

"Anyway how did your exams went?" He asked, turning his whole focus on her.

"Exams?ohh.... they were okay." Rhea replied, turning her face at her book.

"You cheated?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Me? Cheating? No.. hehe." She tried to laugh it off.

But when he raised his eyebrows asking her to say the truth, she nodded. Shaking his head, he said. "Kabhi nahi sudhrogi tum." Hearing this she pouted. "Now study sincerely."

[You will never change.]

After two hours of studying, Yash thought of taking a break. He moved his head side to side, cracking joints. His eyes then moved to Rhea, whose head was on the table.

He smiled, standing up and walking towards her. He squated and chuckled when he saw her eyes closed, sleeping peacefully.

He leaned and brought his ears near to her when he saw her murmuring something in sleep but wasn't to catch her words. He chuckled when he saw her chewing. "Sote hue bhi khane ke sapne dekh rahi hain."

[While sleeping also, she is dreaming of food.]

Unknowingly he was drawn closer to her, his eyes roam at her face, studying every feature carefully. He lifted his finger and poked her cheek, in response she made a face in sleep and shifted a bit, making him chuckle.

Cute. He thought to himself as he studied her for a longer time and strange feeling took it's place inside him. For the first time he could feel his heart beating inside the ribcage like it was beating for the first time as if it was waiting for someone to come and on the switch so it could beat.

He stared at her face continuously, capturing every single detail of her face in his mind. This time, he lightly poked her nose, and she scrunched up her nose making him smile.

He again went to poke to her nose but this time, her eyes fluttered opened. He paused at his moment when her eyes opened, his finger resting on her nose.

She stared in his eyes which were less two inch away then her travelled to his finger which was on nose. He embarrassingly took his hand back and leaned back, flustered, looking here and there.

Rhea lifted her face and rubbed her eyes then stares at him confusedly. "What happened? Why are you acting like this?" She asked, noticing how he moving his eyes at his own house like he is looking at it for the first time and moving his fingers.

He looked at her, feeling reassured that she didn't saw him doing it. "I was just trying to remember something. By the way, you want to eat something or drink something, you must be tired from sleeping. Wait, let me bring something for you."

She stared at him simply, trying to process his words. Her eyes followed his figure moving inside the kitchen. Once he was inside the kitchen, she placed her hand on her chest, remembering the closeness when she woke up and his finger touching her.

She pretended not to know because she didn't wanted to embarrassed him more as he was already flustered and his cheeks were red already. If he knew that she caught him, he would have turned into a tomato.

"Shant hoja bhai." She hitted her chest, lightly.

[Calm down.]
