Chapter 16

To the boy who made a promise

Flower you never saw• male oc x male reader

The galaxy was endless, millions of objects wafting, millions of stars twinkling and eight planets revolving around the sun and among those eight planets, this was a story about two boys from the earth.

Just as usual

Birds sang their song,

The poets wrote their poems

And he continued waiting.

The morning of spring amassed the right amount of warmth.

The last drop of rain had freshly dried off the pavement and the sun was golden, the green around the garden gave an elegant fragrance.

It was truly the beauty of the sun after the rain.

The white flowers were witnessing the beauty of nature from the playground when they saw cascade ocean-like eyes glare at them.

That pale-slender finger gently brushed through each one of them before the giant figure left the tract.

The door unlocked revealing a boy with golden hair swivelling with the wind as his blue orbs stared at the notebook that laid on the desk, untouched.

A deep breath and a sigh.

He stepped towards the desk and sat on the chair.

With a pen trapped between his finger and a fresh page, he began to jot down

Good morning!

Happy 25th birthday,

The weather on your birthday is always beautiful.

I got a job and I'm soon going to move out.

I want to give you a gift for your 25th birthday by moving on.

This is the last time we'll talk, aren't you happy? Isn't this what you always wanted?

It has been two years, y/n.

They say that day...that day a boy around his 20s with h/c hair got shot by a hijacker while trying to save a kid.

I've been telling myself it wasn't you,

You're still out there earning for us so we both can live a nice life, right?

Just how long do you want me to blind myself from the truth?

I know that no matter where we go,

There will always be people who will be ready to drag us down.

And they say thousand is stronger than two.

What we feel, how strong we feel doesn't matter.

And trust me in this one, A harmful sharp blade is always stronger than love,

I've been dealing with it for years now and I'm sick of it.

I'm sick of having this strong feeling of love yet losing every battle I fought.

I could do nothing with this love and I know that you couldn't too.

I really wish it was just you and me, forever.

I'm sorry for being a coward.

I'm sorry for not standing up for you when she insulted you.

I regret so much but you know what I regret the most?

I regret not being honest with my feelings.

The flowers have grown into a beautiful one, just like your soul.

I water them every day just like how you asked me to.

Honestly, I wish I didn't know where you went because I think about joining you every single day.

But the promise I made stops me from doing so.

You told me to stay alive till you take me somewhere we can live peacefully and look, I'm still alive, waiting for you to come get me.

Every day I wake up just to wait for you to knock at my door, for you to tell me to pack my bags but it feels like you never will.

The water still flows, the star still twinkles, the moon still glows and the sun still shines, do they not know that you aren't here? Who are they looking pretty for?

Y/n, I will move on but that doesn't mean I'll forget about you.

You will always be with me.

In the stars, gleaming for me.

In the moon, peeking at me.

In the sun, showing the way for me

And in the sky, talking to me.

I will never stop waiting.

Even if you come to me when I'm grey and old, I'll still run away with you.

To the boy who made a promise,

I love you.
