Dom watched Adrian for a few moments, before he eased himself out of the hospital bed, stretched his legs to get the circulation going again, and moved to one of the armchairs beside Adrian's bed instead.

He pulled out his phone and dialled his sister's number, eager to hear her voice again.

All of his three sisters lived a long way from him, and he didn't see them nearly as often as he would have liked.

He talked to his eldest sister for a long while, explaining everything that had happened to him over the past few weeks, all about Adrian, and Rachel.

His sister quickly organised a get-together at Dom's house, and insisted on inviting all of his sisters and their children so that they could all meet Adrian and Rachel.

Dom chatted until he noticed Adrian's eyes were open again, watching him, a small smile on his lips.

Dom bade goodbye to his sister and smiled at Adrian. He went back over to the bed and slid in beside Adrian, cuddling the smaller man in his arms.

"How're you feeling? Do you need any more painkillers?"

Adrian shook his head.

"I'm fine."

He beckoned Dom closer and kissed him lightly when he was close enough.

"Can you teach Rachel to do that?"

"Do what?"

"Speak Italian." Adrian grinned. "It's really sexy, you know."

Dom raised his eyebrows.

"Really?" He smirked and leant down to kiss Adrian again.

Adrian moaned softly, his hand sliding up to stroke Dom's stubble-covered chin.

"Christ, I want you," Dom breathed against Adrian's mouth.

"I know," Adrian whispered. "I want you too."

Someone cleared their throat loudly in the doorway.

They looked over and saw a nurse stood watching them, holding Adrian's medical chart.

"Hospital beds are for patients only," she said in a superior voice. "Mr Sloan, I need to do some tests, and give you some painkillers. I thoroughly recommend abstaining until your stitches are removed."

She shot Dom a nasty look.

Dom heard Adrian's soft giggle in his ear, and frowned at him. He leant down and kissed Adrian roughly for a moment, before he hopped out of the bed and pulled on his coat.

"I have to go anyway," he told the nurse, smiling broadly at her. "I'll come and see you tomorrow, baby."

He leant down for a last, lingering kiss, before leaving Adrian at the mercy of the nurse.
