Chapter 2 ~Cresstall Forest (N.E.)~

In the middle of a forest, that looked like it was made out of crystals, glowing in the sunlight, laid a young man with white hair.

The animals in the forest, that were both small and big and surrounded him. No, it was more like they watched him from afar, hiding behind the many crystal like large trees.

The young man lying in the large opening with nothing but crystal grass, slowly opened his eyes.

However, affected by the sunlight, he immediately closed them. He once again opened them, this time even slower, to try and adjust to the sunlight. After which, he supported himself up with his hands and looked around.

He saw the crystal and glass like surrounding around him, puzzled as to where he had been teleported by the God.

'It's all just glass, no- crystals? Anyway, where am I? I was teleported, and this place...

The only place like this in [Evergreen Land]was the [Cresstall Forest]. This place is too dangerous, at least for those under level 100.'

Shoji looked around wondering why he had ended up here. This was a place too dangerous for anyone under the level 100 or 80.

Even the most weak animals in [Cresstall Forest] are at least level 70.

It was named 'Cresstall' because the whole forest was made of crystals. That was obvious.

It was okay for anyone above level 80 to enter till the 『outer region』of the forest.

The 『mid-region』had monster and animals of level 80-95.

The 『Inner-region』monsters and animals were level 96- 120.

Shoji looked around, not finding anything, except the crazy number of monsters and animals that surrounded him, hiding behind the trees and bushes.

'I'll take care of them later.'

He was too occupied to have noticed, that this was abnormal behaviour from the creatures.

'I need to figure out which part of the forest I am. Also... system.'

A black screen popped up in front of him, with gold corners. It was see through as well.

There was nothing written on it.

'Is it not working? System?'

When he called the system in his mind, a bunch of text appeared on the screen.

《Nice to meet you host. I am your system, granted by the God. Please ask me if you have any questions.》

It said in a mechanical voice. It sounded like a female robot.

'I want to know which part of the [Cresstall Forest] I'm currently in.'

《The host is currently in the 『Inner-Region』of the [Cresstall Forest]. The host's current situation is safe.》

'Mm, thanks. Then, show my status.'

《Understood.》

That was it. It had given him all the information he needed, and more.

But what intrigued Shoji was his name. Noah Erasil.

'That means the God's name is Erasil.'

He was happy to be given a simple name such as Noah, and even more happy to know the God's name.

'It seems in this world, I'm a year younger. There are so many titles, spells too.

It doesn't seems to mention my professions. Well, I have all of them, so no need for that.

Nature's child? It says it's an ability. I wonder what it is.'

Shoji, now Noah, intrigued by the title 'Nature's child', pressed on the title in his mind. He seemed to know to not physically touch the screen.

It was not a completely OP ability, but you were able to have affinity with monsters and animals.

That was practically impossible, even if you were a tamer.

Tamers have a specific scent that is liked by very few creatures. Others could even be repulsed.

And yet, here he was given such a crazy ability.

'I'm thankful but, how am I supposed to level up?'

《The host does not need to worry about leveling up. You will be given additional EXP every time you completed a task sent by God.

Now that I've gotten that sorted...

I don't think I'll need to fight these monsters.'

In [Evergreen Land], Monster and animals together are called (Creatures).

The difference between them is violence.

(Monsters) are animals that have gone berserk or under the control of demons.

(Animals) are just normal beings who only fight when threatened.

Now these creatures were surrounding Noah.

...30 minutes or so ago...

All the animal in the 『Inner-Region』of the [Cresstall Forest] were in their own habitat.

Protecting their home, fighting, eating, gathering.

When suddenly all of them felt an unknown presence.

(What is that presence. It's so strong!)

(It suddenly appeared out of nowhere!)

(Can you smell that?)

(Smell what- oh...)

(It's so pleasant)

All of the (Creatures) who were panicking soon realised the pleasant smell.

It was a very comforting smell, that they could not resist.

Even if they tried, they all ended up following the smell.

They reached a rather large opening that had nothing but grass.

A perfect circle with no trees.

All the (Animals) could see that the (Monsters) were attracted as well.

They all stopped walking right behind the trees and bushes, to see a (Human) in the middle.

(Is that a human?)

(It does seem like it...)

(A human has such a pleasant smell on him!?)

(No, it's not a human. He might look like it, but that's certainly not a human.)

(True, he doesn't have that weird thing they call 'aura' around him.)

(Then what is he?)

(He suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and has a pleasant smell. He's also extremely strong.)

(Maybe a ... dragon?)

(No, we've seen dragons before, they are still much more powerful.)

(Right..)

(What is he?)

(Shhh! He's woken up)

As they all discussed one of them notified them of the human waking up.

The human had sat up and looked around.

Then turned to face in-front, and continued to look there a few minutes, before he stood up.

...Present...

Noah looked around at the small and big (Creatures) around him and stood up.

He was going to go to the starter town not far from here.

Noah looked at the map telling him the way to the starter town.

The (Creatures) around him were all still looking at him.

They were wondering what this 'Being' would do now.

As they pondered, they saw him head towards the right, walking relaxed, with no hint of fear.

He was wearing a black shirt, pants, and a slightly big baggie clothing.

His red eyes looked at them for not more than a second before they moved on.

As the 'Being' was leaving, they all felt disappointed.

Noah continued to walk until he felt something.

It wasn't a presence, nor was it mana, it was different. He felt a kind of connection toward this... thing.

《Host, one of your Familiar have been detected. A high-class (Creature) - (Fenrir) has appeared.》

'Wait, what? Fenrir? Also ONE of my familiars!?'

Chapter 2 is shorter than 1. Sorry about that. (＞人＜;)

I wanted to end it on a cliffhanger. It doesn't seem like one though... ehehe ('；ω；')

We've learnt of Noah's new name, the God's name, and his appearance. Next is his first Familiar and starter city!!
