Chapter 3 ~Shehnard City~

In the [Cresstall Forest], 『Inner-Region 』, the many (Creatures) who were surrounding the large opening, cowered in fear.

The reason was due to the appearance of the high-class (Creature) - (Fenrir).

Noah who learnt that he had a Fenrir as his familiar, and that he had more than one familiar, still had his expressionless face on.

On the inside, it was not far off -

'A Fenrir is really OP, but to have more than one familiar. That's too much.'

The system who could hear his thoughts stayed quite.

'System, is the Fenrir walking towards my direction?'

《Yes host. You can wait here for her to arrive. 》

'Alright.'

All the (Creatures) in the forest saw was the 'Being' who stopped walking, and stood there, seemingly waiting for the scary presence that had appeared.

(What's going on? First it was this being, and now a - a Fenrir!?).

(This is bad! We've to run! Let's leave!)

(Yes! Let's go!)

They all immediately dispersed, having confirmed the presence of a (Fenrir).

Soon, the only being left, was Noah.

He patiently waited for his first familiar, as he questioned why he was given more than one familiar.

'I wonder what the other ones are? Maybe a dragon? That would be cool. I would like a fairy as well. Hmm, what else...OH!

A SLIME!! You just can't underestimate slimes.'

The system noted down the animals that Noah had thought of, and sent them to 'God'.

And, Noah had no way to find out that, his familiars were not all chosen already.

Soon, the ground starting shaking slightly. He could hear footsteps of an animal.

'The Fenrir.'

He was right.

The Fenrir, who was peacefully sleeping, was awakened when she felt a strange presence.

After which she could smell a pleasant smell, that made her want to follow it.

Soon, she felt herself being tied down. Not physically.

It was like she being tied down by magic ropes, or chains.

After the whole process, she realised she had just been forced into a contract.

And had also been left a message from god.

After hearing this message, she immediately followed the scent of her new master, and arrived in front of a 'Being', that looked human, but wasn't.

The (Fenrir) observed Noah, as it sat down obediently. It's tail was wagging, causing the tress around it to fall.

The 'Being' had red eyes, and white hair that reached his shoulders.

He had a slender figure, that seemed like it would easily break, but was strong, as can be seen from the slight muscles.

He had Snow-white skin, that would make any injury look worse than it was.

He was a handsome young man, who could make both men and women kneel down.

Noah, was as well, observing the Fenrir.

The (Fenrir) was two-three stories tall, with shining white fur.

It had blue eyes, probably to indicate it's attribute.

It's tail was shaking, and it sat down obediently, but still looked scary.

'As expected of a Fenrir. It scared away all the monsters.'

'This being is powerful. He is halfway through to be as powerful as me. I wonder what he is.'

"Hi. I'm Noah Erasil."

Noah expressionlessly introduced himself.

The (Fenrir) as well introduced herself.

(It is nice to meet you, master. I do not have a name, for which you would have to name me.

It will also finalise our contract.)

"Oh. A name... I expected that. Uhhh..."

Noah was thinking of a name, which the (Fenrir) waited for.

"You're a female right?"

(That is correct.)

"Alright! Then I will name you Roesia."

(Thank you master!!)

The (Fenrir) now called Roesia happily accepted her name.

As she had received a name, the contract of Master-Familiar was finalised.

They could feel the connection between them become stronger.

"Then, Roesia, can you give me a ride to Shehnard city?"

(Whatever you wish, master.)

"Thanks. But can you not call me master? Just Noah is fine."

(I understand Noah. Would you also like me to become smaller?)

"That would be helpful."

In a short few seconds, they easily got along.

Roesia was happy with her name, and Noah was happy to have a familiar.

Roesia decreased her size. She was now the size of two adult men.

Perfect for Noah to get on her.

Noah used levitation magic to get on top of Roesia, and lead her towards 『Shehnard City』.

This city was in the [Vokrairin Kingdom], to the south. It was known for it's many guild, mercenaries and adventurers.

To the west it had 『Phoenix City』. It was named as such, because, that was where the first phoenix had been born.

There were many places like this for high-class (Creatures).

To the east was 『Erydiff』. This city was the most normal of all the cities in [Vokrairin Kingdom]. It had humans who could not use magic, nor had any special abilities. Usually used as a vacation spot for it's safety.

The north had 『Shard City』. It was known for it's many magical and non-magical shards that played a huge role in both machinery and alchemy.

Then came the 『Capital City』. This city was the capital of the kingdom. Most of the important nobles lives here, including the royals. It is the most affluent and was known for the magic academy, where many prominent mages had graduated from.

Since 『Shehnard city』had many guilds, it was of course the starter city of this game.

Soon, they arrived not far from the entrance of the kingdom.

[Cresstall Forest] was right next to the [Vokrarin Kingdom], located to the south.

No one had tried to take over the forest, as in the game, the highest levels for any NPC was 100. There, there were (Creatures) above that level.

You would be asking for death if you did go.

'System, do I have any money?'

《The host does not have to worry. You have been given money worth more than what your family could achieve in their whole life.》

'That's awfully straightforward. That's good, that means I have money to spend however I want to.

What about my inventory? I had a lot of items in it.'

《That as well, is as it was. Except it has been made into an infinite space storage.》

'I see. So, now I can use it as an ability. Now for Roe.'

Noah, on the way decided to shorten Roesia's name and call her 'Roe'.

"Roe, you should go into my shadow. It would be bad if other saw you."

(Okay Noah. Call me whenever you need me, alright?)

"Alright." Noah replied with a small smile on his face.

Roe immediately went into his shadow, once she saw his smile.

Now, Noah started walking towards the gate. A bunch guards were checking peoples carriages, and two were guarding the gate.

Noah brought out a brown bag from his space, and stored a bunch of clothing and other items, within.

The guards checked him completely, and sent him to the ones guarding the gate.

"You need to show your identity card over there. Then they'll let you in."

"Okay. Thank you."

After thanking them Noah walked away. He was not worried about his identity card, as the system had provided one for him.

However, Noah didn't notice the people looking at him strangely.

It was extremely rare to find someone with his eye colour and hair, no matter where you go.

"That one's rare. He's really good-looking as well."

"Right. Hope he has a good time win our city."

The guards had, for the first time, seen someone like him. They were wonderstruck. Usually, those with his features we're associated with the god's beloved child.

It was a very long story.

But to shorten it. A man had randomly appeared with the same features as Noah, a few hundred years ago.

He had saved the whole world from being taken over by the, then reigning, demons.

Once he had killed the demon lord, he had disappeared that very second with golden light coming from the sky, and surrounding him.

From then on, he was called the 'Beloved Child of the Gods'.

And now, Noah had appeared with the same features. It was no wonder everyone looked at him.

Noah game the guards that were shorter than him, his Identity card.

The card has his name, age, race which was listed as 'human' and the place he came from.

"Hashihaba? Where is that?"

The place he came from was listed as a 'Hashihaba'.

"It's a pretty small village quite faraway. It isn't located to any specific kingdom. It's pretty much inside the Cresstall Forest."

"OH! Cresstall Forest. No wonder. I'm surprised any humans are actually living there. You can go in. But you'll have to pay 1 silver coin, or 10 copper coins. You don't have a guild card, so we'll have to charge you." The soldier said the last part with an apologetic tone.

"It's fine. Here you go." Noah brought out a silver coin from his bag, and gave it to the guard.

After he did, the guard allowed him in. As soon as he entered he heard a sound like a notification.

《Congratulations host. You have completed 1/3 tasks for Shehnard City.

1. Enter Shehnard City

2. Join a guild

3. Find an Inn

Please complete the following 2 tasks top level up. 》

'Huh? It was a task to enter the city? That's cool. They're all easy,so I should complete them.

For the guild... I'll join the adventure guild - [Frostshield].'

In the game [Evergreen land], [FrostShield] was seen as the most popular and powerful guild in the kingdom.

It had branches all over the kingdom. Founded by a mage with an ice attribute around 11 years ago.

Despite a mage being it's founder, many other adventurers such as swordsman, healers, spearmen, archers, had joined.

'Now then, shall I go and join [FrostShield]?'

《Yes.》

'Hehe.'

Let me just say! This chapter was hard to write.

I had to find a way get past 1500 words. And I did end up doing that.

Chapter 4 will be much longer as it will have Noah join a guild, finding an Inn,doing his first mission, and finding his second familiar.

And since this is BL, the ML will be introduced as an extremely powerful character!

He will be in the next chapter!
