Chapter 33

HOMOPHOBIC (JENLISA)

Lisa's POV

"You are a fucking filthy gay."

"I hate you!"

"I despise you!"

"You're just tiring yourself."

"I wish I never met you."

"No!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I woke up panting, sweats are dripping down from my forehead. My eyes was glued to the ceiling. The only thing that's making noise right now is this freaking alarm clock beside me.

I annoyingly turned it off and sat at the edge of my bed. I brushed my hair with both of my hands and rested my elbows right above my thighs. I hung my head low as both of my hands rested above my head.

It's been weeks, and it still haunts me even in my dreams. Jennie's effect on me is really something. Is this what first love do?

"Ridiculous." I dryly chuckled.

There's nothing that I can do to fix everything. Jennie hated me that much, maybe it's time to forget about her. I know it wouldn't be easy, but do I have any choice? I can't make her fall for me knowing that she hated my whole existence.

Fuck that kitten. I haven't done anything to her but she hated me so much. It's not even my fault that her mother turns out to be gay. And I'm not even the reason why her brother died. I understand that she had some painful experience in the past. But, that's not enough to hate every gay that she met. She didn't even value our friendship.

The continuous ringing of my phone pull me away from those deep thoughts that I was having. I picked it up and my eyes grew wide as I saw lots of message coming from my chipmunk, asking me to go to school already. It's been four days since I stopped attending classes. I needed a break from everything, mostly from Jennie.

I also noticed messages from Nayeon, telling how worried she is. She's also whining that I left her alone for days and still owe her a lunch.

"I need to take a bath." I mumbled.

But before I was able to put my phone down, Jisoo's called ID suddenly appeared.

"What this chicken wants?" I muttered before answering her call.

"Hel-"

"Where the fuck are you?!" Jisoo screamed at the other line. My ears rang because of the loud voice of hers.

"Yah! Do you have plans destroying my ear drums?!" I yelled back. But instead of another yell, I heard Jisoo sniffing.

"A-are you c-crying?" I asked.

"I'm just glad that you're still the same Lisa." She said which made me chuckled a bit.

"Is that Lisa? Give me the phone." I heard Rosѐ said.

"Hey. How are you Lisa?" Rosѐ asked with her soft voice.

"I'm fine. I guess." I said, barely whispering.

"Have you got the same dream again?" She asked. Yes, Rosѐ knew about that. She was with me when it first happened to me.

"Yeah. But I'm starting to get used to it."

"Yah. You need to forget her Lisa."

"I know. I'm trying, believe me."

"I believe you. Anyway, are you going back today?"

"Maybe. I have already missed a lot. I might not able to catch up. I still want to graduate though."

"Rosie, baby! We will be late!" I heard Jisoo screamed.

"Baby? Why are you with Jisoo?"

"I-I, W-we had an s-sleep over!"

"A sleep over? Just the two of you?"

"Y-yeah! What's wrong with that?! Tss. Get your ass up and come to school, idiot!" Rosѐ said and hung up.

"Why is she so angry?" I said as I stare at my phone. I just shrugged it off and started preparing. I don't want to be late.

I took a quick shower since I only got few minutes left before going to school. I was about to go out when I feel something fury at my foot. I crouched and patted my cat's head. She just look at me with those eyes that reminds of the person who gave it to me.

"Bye Leo." I mumbled. He just meowed back and went on his way back to somewhere around the house. I hope he won't ruin the sofa while I'm gone. I also left some cat food on his bowl, so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't end up crashing the kitchen cabinets.

--

"Lalisa!" Jisoo yelled as she run towards me.

Jisoo gave me a tight hug which almost made me to lose my balance. I quickly held her for support.

"Yah. I miss you too." I said as I patted her back.

"I don't miss you." She said as she lifted up her head and looked at me seriously.

"Then why are you rushing your way towards me? And you even hug me this tight." I said.

"It's because, it's been four days since you're gone! And, it's been four days since you last treated me chickens. I miss you buying those for me. Can you please buy me some later?"

"Yah! Get off!" I said and harshly push Jisoo away. She quickly let go and run behind Rosѐ when she saw that I was about to smack her.

Our good times was cut off when Jennie and Hanbin walk in front of us. Jennie greeted both Rosѐ and Jisoo. I guess they're already in good terms. I envy them, a lot. I let out a small smile to Jennie but she just looked at me with blank face.

"Are you okay?" Rosѐ asked when she saw what happened.

"I will be." I said and smiled timidly.

Rosѐ was about to talk again but we were interrupted when someone hug me from behind that made me startled. Shock is also evident at Rosѐ's face so as Jisoo.

"I miss you oppa!" Nayeon said brightly when I turned around to look at her.

"I miss you too. How are you?" I asked. I saw a tint of blush in her cheeks which made me smile a bit.

"I'm not fine. You left me for four days! I haven't someone who talk to. And you still owe me a lunch!" She replied and cross her arms and pouted. I lowered down a bit to match the level of her face, I patted her head and smiled which caused the blush on her cheeks grew redder.

"I'm sorry. I promise to buy you a lunch today."

"Wait, I have a better idea!" She said which made me nervous. Why am I feeling that the idea of hers will be a disaster?

"You'll be my date tonight for Jennie's birthday! No excuses okay?" She said and stole a kiss from my cheeks before dashing away, leaving me dumbfounded.

"Oh, what was that huh?" Jisoo said teasingly and wrapped her arms around my shoulder.

"So you'll be coming tonight?" Rosѐ said and wiggled her eyebrows knowingly. I let out a deep sigh first before answering.

"Where is it will be held anyway?" I asked.

"Hanbin's Bar. Oh, and wear something classy okay?" Rosѐ said and winked at me and walk awa

"I guess you should really try dating Nayeon." Jisoo said before following Rosѐ.

Should I?

Third Person's POV

Lisa took a one last glance at the mirror before heading her way out. She fix up her suit together with her bangs. She was hoping that her get up won't be too much. Rosѐ said to wear something classy, and this is what classy looks like to Lisa. A black suit with white polo inside.

Her eyes was caught by a shining thing that was resting quietly at the corner of her desk. She picked it up and smiled sadly. It was the necklace that she gave Jennie for her birthday.

"Happy Birthday Nini." She whispered as she caressed the necklace with her thumb. She decided to put it back to where she got it and stare herself at the mirror.

"You can do this." She encouraged herself and left her house.

Lisa drove to the address which Nayeon gave to her earlier. When Nayeon heard a certain sound of a car, she quickly went outside to meet her date. Nayeon gave her own gummy smile towards Lisa which made Lisa smiled to. She was wearing black off shoulder dress that matches Lisa's outfit.

"That smile reminds me of her." Lisa thought. She quickly shook her thoughts away and focused her attention to her date that's standing right in front of her.

"You look great." Lisa complimented the bunny which made her a blushing mess.

"T-thanks." Nayeon said while smiling shyly and put a few strands at the back of her ear.

"Shall we?" Lisa asked and opened the door of the passenger seat for Nayeon.

Nayeon and Lisa saw arrived at the bar at the same time as the ChaeSoo does. Rosѐ is wearing a black ruffled dress that compliments her red hair. While Jisoo was wearing a black turtleneck together with a black pants and a black boots. Her blue jacket really suits her outfit.

"Wow. You look great Lalisa! So that what classy means to you huh." Jisoo said as she scanned Lisa from head to toe.

"Yah. Lisa is enough. Stop calling me by my full name." Lisa said and rolled her eyes which earned giggles from both of the ladies beside them.

"This bar looks very classy." Rosѐ said.

"Yeah. This is the most famous bar here in Busan. The top most floor was only for VIPs but Hanbin cleared the whole floor just for tonight." Nayeon said.

"The things that you do for love!" Sehun said as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He's wearing a white polo and a gray trousers partnered with a white sneakers.

"Oh, are you somewhat together? I thought you're into Jennie?" Sehun pointed out Nayeon and Lisa. Nayeon was surprised a bit on what she heard while Lisa glared at the man in front of her.

Lisa was about to answer back but a man suddenly approached them and led them towards the venue. All of them was in awe when they saw how great the place is. But Lisa's attention was not on the place. Her eyes were glued at the celebrant who is wearing a black fitted dress that shows her curves.

Jennie walk towards them wearing a genuine smile. All of them greeted the celebrant except Lisa who was still dumbfounded. Jennie's smile slowly faltered when her eyes darted to the blonde. Seeing Lisa in a suit made her feel something abnormal right on her tummy but she chose to shrugged it off.

The party has started and seeing Jennie and Hanbin clingy to each other sends numerous pain straight onto Lisa's heart. She tried to focus her attention to the girl beside her but she's having a hard time not to stare at Jennie when she's wearing something like that.

Jennie stood up and that didn't escape from Lisa's eye. Lisa excuse herself to follow Jennie. She knew that she needs to avoid Jennie so that she would be able to forget what she's feeling but there's something inside her that still wants to talk to the feline.

Lisa fasten up her pace to catch up to Jennie. When she finally did, she quickly held her wrist. Jennie flinched a little when she felt Lisa's grip. Her eyebrows instantly furrowed and the brightness in her face turned into a cold one.

"What?" Jennie asked coldly. Lisa was taken aback with Jennie's stern voice. She slowly let go of Jennie's wrist. Her mind clouded that made her forget what she was about to say.

"H-Happy B-birthday." Lisa muttered softly. Jennie felt how vulnerable Lisa is which made her walls weaken a bit.

"Thank you." Jennie softly said and walk away from the latter.

Lisa let out a defeated sigh and watch as the feline's figure slowly disappeared. When her eyes was not able to see Jennie, Lisa went get some drink.

"What's your poison, handsome?" The bartender asked her in a flirty way.

"Whiskey, on the rocks." Lisa replied blankly.

The bartender gave Lisa her drink and a napkin where her number was written. Lisa just took the glass of whiskey and ignored the napkin. She earn a scoffed coming from the bartender but she didn't pay attention.

Lisa went to the balcony which she saw when they arrived here. The cool breeze made her feel somewhat relaxed. She took something out of her pocket, it was a box of cigarette. It's been a while since she last smoked. Bambam was the only one who knew this vice of her not even her parents or her grandfather knew about this thing. It only stopped when they moved here in Busan. She don't know why but her whole system somewhat forget about it.

"One wouldn't be bad." Lisa said and took a stick of cigarette. She lit it up and put it between her lips. The first inhale made her satisfied, it was indeed her stress reliever. She took a sip of her whiskey and enjoy her alone time. The faint music coming inside was the only one can be heard in that balcony.

Nayeon noticed that it's been minutes since Lisa went somewhere. Jennie wasn't on her seat yet, so she decided to look for her date. She was looking everywhere for Lisa but there was no trace of her. Her eyes darted towards the balcony and there she saw the person that she's been looking for the whole time.

Nayeon took a few minutes to stare at Lisa. She was leaning at the veranda while holding a whiskey on her right hand. She was surprised when she saw Lisa lit up a cigarette. Nayeon admitted that Lisa was cooler in that way.

"I've been looking for you." Nayeon said which caught the attention of the blonde. Lisa smiled and motioned Nayeon to go beside her.

"I didn't know you smoke." Nayeon started.

"No one does. Except Bambam."

"Bambam?"

"My childhood friend."

"Oh. Why are you here?"

"It's too crowded inside and I can't stand the noise."

Both of them giggled softly. Silence fill the atmosphere between them. Nayeon scanned Lisa's feature and the sadness in her eyes was evident.

"It's about Jennie, right?" Nayeon broke the ice. Lisa looked at Nayeon with wide eyes.

"H-how-"

"I can see it in your eyes. The pain. The sadness. You're in love with her right?"

"Yeah. But the feeling isn't mutual." Lisa said and smiled sadly.

"Why don't you forget her? There are still many girls out there dying for your attention."

"It's not that easy."

"Then let me help you." Nayeon blurted which made Lisa face her.

"What? I don't want to use you just to forget Jennie. I don't want to hurt your feelings Nayeon." Lisa's voice showed her concern to the girl which made Nayeon's heart skipped a beat. She leaned closer to the blonde and cupped her face.

"It's okay Lisa, I insist. I help you forget her. Just let me." Nayeon said.

Lisa was about to protest but Nayeon claim her lips making her not knowing what to do. Jisoo's voice suddenly echoed in back of her mind telling that she should try dating this girl.

Lisa put down the whiskey and threw her cigarette and place her hands on Nayeon's waist. She pulled  the latter closer and deepen their kiss. Nayeon was clearly surprised when she felt that Lisa was responding to her kisses but she quickly recovered and melted into Lisa's warmth. Her hands that are cupping Lisa's face earlier were now wrapped around her nape.

"Maybe I should really try. Maybe Nayeon can really help me." Lisa thought.

Little did they know, a pair of eyes was watching them from afar.
