Chapter 47

Third Person's POV

Three days had passed and gratefully, Lisa's nightmares didn't happened again. Rosé was happy because Lisa doesn't need to distance herself from them anymore. And as for Lisa, she was satisfied since she had proven to herself that she's really now okay.

Today was the day that their college entrance exam will occur. The girls agreed to go in a single university despite of them taking different courses. Jisoo plans to take an engineering course, mainly, Electronics Engineering since her passion for building robots are burning up since she was a child. Rosé on the other hand will take Journalism since it's the closest course related to her dream job which is to become a famous Food Critic.

It was six in the morning when Lisa's alarm clock rang. She really set her alarm early since she wants to cook breakfast for her friends. She do her morning routine first before going downstairs.

Lisa thought that she was just the only one who woke up early so she was surprised when she saw Jennie at the living room. The feline didn't noticed the tall girl's presence because she was indulge on sketching something.

"Planning to be a fashion designer?" Lisa said. Jennie jumped a bit when she heard her voice but she quickly recovered.

"Yeah. What do you think?" Jennie said, pertaining to the dress that she drew.

Jennie stiffened at Lisa's sudden move. Lisa leaned closer towards her, making their faces few inches apart to take a closer look at her artwork.

"Wow. This is amazing. How come that I didn't know about this skill of yours?" Lisa said but she got no reply from the feline. Jennie was still frozen, and staring at Lisa's side view.

When Lisa didn't heard any answer from Jennie, she slowly turned to face her which made the feline reflexively divert her attention away. Jennie let out a few strands of her hair to hide her blushing cheeks from Lisa.

"Thank you." Jennie muttered softly. "I like drawing stuffs whenever I'm alone and bored." She explained.

"Oh. Is that so?" Lisa said and distance herself.

"Where are you going?" Jennie asked when she saw Lisa walking away.

"To the kitchen. I guess it's time for you to taste my cooking, Kim." Lisa said wearing a confident smirk.

Jennie felt the heat risen up to her cheeks. She started to fan herself using her right hand. "Why it get so hot in here all of a sudden?" Jennie asked herself. She took what Lisa said in another way. "I need some water."

Jennie knew that it was not only the water that she wants. She's curious if Lisa really know how to cook and the same time, she's afraid that the latter might burn the kitchen or worse, the whole house.

Jennie stood up and walk her way towards the kitchen where she found Lisa preparing. She went straight to the refrigerator and get some water, maybe for her not to be obvious that she's spying the tall girl. Lisa was busy preparing so she didn't paid attention to Jennie who is now watching at her every move.

"So, what are you planning to cook?" Jennie asked.

"Pancakes." Lisa replied shortly.

Jennie scoffed hearing Lisa's answer. "Really? Pancakes?"

"What's wrong with pancakes? I remembered you used to cook those for me. I think it's time for me to do the same, what do you think?" Lisa said.

Jennie wasn't able to answer because she was mesmerized by Lisa's beauty when the latter started to tie her hair. Lisa was wearing a denim jumper with a black tank top underneath. Jennie can't take her eyes off from Lisa's biceps which later on darted towards Lisa's jawline. She can't count how many times she gulped just by mere staring at Lisa's feature.

"I think you'll still look hot while cooking though." Jennie's eyes widened when she realized that she said it loudly. Lisa blinked for a few times, wondering if she heard it right.

"Really? I'm hot?" Lisa said. A teasing smirk started to formed right into her lips which made Jennie have some hard time to respond.

"Do you..." Lisa said as she started to walk towards Jennie. Jennie keeps on taking a step backwards every time Lisa took a step forward until Jennie felt the sink behind her. Lisa leaned forward, making Jennie to automatically hold out at the sink behind her for support.

"Do you perhaps have a crush on me, Kim?" Lisa said still wearing that smug smirk of hers. "Cat got your tongue?" Lisa added before moving away.

"I'm just joking." Lisa said and went back to finish her preparations.

"I-I'll wake them up." Jennie said as an excuse to get herself out in this kind of situation.

"Yeah. I don't want to be late." Lisa said without looking at her.

After a few minutes, Jennie went back to the kitchen, all dressed up. She's wearing a simple "The Beatles" white shirt tucked in a denim jeans. She's also wearing her specs and tied up her hair into a messy bun which fits perfectly to her sense of fashion. Her whole outfit was simple but yet, she knew how to make it elegant.

"Oh. Good timing. The pancakes are cooked." Lisa said. "Come, have a bite." She added and handed Jennie a plateful of pancakes with a lots of honey and blackberries on top.

"This should be good." Jennie warned the latter.

"You wouldn't know unless you start eating." Lisa answered confidently.

"Whoa. The confidence." Jennie said which made Lisa giggle that seems like music to Jennie's ears. "Anyway, what course are you going to take?" Jennie asked out of her curiosity.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm taking culinary."

"Why? I thought you love taking pictures. Why switch to culinary?"

"I really do have the passion for photography but there's no one else who can continue our business aside from me."

"That make sense. I was just really looking forward to hear your name boom in the photography industry. But being a chef isn't bad at all."

"Chef Lalisa Manoban. Cool isn't it?"

"Indeed."

"So, how's the taste?"

Jennie took her first bite and she was surprised. Lisa indeed know how to cook just what like Rosé said. "Not bad, Lili."

Hearing those nickname for the first time again made Lisa froze. She didn't expect to hear it from Jennie after a long time. Jennie on the other hand was also surprise. It's a habit for her to call Lisa by that nickname since they we're starting to get close to each other again. But now, the feline was afraid that it might affect their progress. Lucky, Rosé barged in, saving the both of them from an awkward atmosphere.

"I smell food!" Rosé yelled that gained the attention of the both of them. Behind her was Jisoo who is still walking with her eyes half opened despite of her being all dress up. She must slept late last night since she keeps on yawning.

"Bon appétit." Lisa said with a smile. "I'll just change my clothes." Lisa said before heading upstairs.

The girls was assigned to different buildings, referring to the courses that they were taking. They were a few minutes early before the entrance exam starts. Jennie decided to relax herself so she took out her earphones and plug into her phone. She closed her eyes as the song of The Beatles played. Her right foot was tapping to the beat.

"Excuse me?" A stranger said. She realized that Jennie was wearing an earphone so she carefully tapped her shoulders which caused the latter to slowly open her eyes. What Jennie saw is a short-haired girl wearing a pink top. Her smile was so bright that it almost blinded the latter.

"Oh. Sorry." Jennie said and unplug her earphones. "Do you need something?"

"Yeah. Actually, I'm lost. By any chance, do you know where the examination venue for fashion students will be?" She asked.

"You're in the right place." Jennie said and smiled back.

"Oh, finally. I'm getting exhausted. By the way, I'm Mina. Mina Myoui." Mina reached out her hand which Jennie gladly accepted.

"Jennie. Jennie Kim." She said.

Both of them talk to each other for a few minutes until their examination starts. It was a good thing for Jennie to have already someone she knew that is probably will be her classmate for her whole college year.

Jennie let out a groan and started to do some stretching as soon as they exited the building. She can feel the pain in her back from hours of sitting.

"Finally it's done." Mina said and sighed in relief.

"Yeah. I hope that we can have the same class." Jennie answered.

"That's if I'm going to pass the exam."

"Silly. Of course you will!" Jennie said which earned her a genuine smile from Mina.

"Are you going home?" Mina asked.

"I'm still waiting for my friends."

"Is that so? Then I'll be going first. I need to go somewhere."

Before Mina was able to bid her goodbyes, Lisa spotted them. She yelled Jennie's name that made the both of the girls look at her direction. Lisa was smiling widely to her. She' wearing a black crop top matched with a maong pants. And as expected, Jennie was mesmerized by her beauty once again.

"Seems like your friend is already here. Nice meeting you again Jennie." Mina said and walked away.

"Hey. Who was that?" Lisa said as soon as she approached Jennie.

"A new friend." Jennie answered.

"Lucky for you. Anyway, Rosé and Jisoo are already waiting at the front gate. Shall we?" Lisa said.

Jennie was walking around her room anxiously. She's biting her nails as the nervousness slowly eating her entire system. This past days, she was being anxious whether she's going to ask Rosé about Lisa or not. But she already made a decision that she's doing it right after their entrance exam. And now, here she is, preparing herself for whatever answer she will get.

A knock on her door added up to her anxiety. She quickly opened the door knowing that it was Rosé.

"Hey." Rosé greeted.

"Hey. Come in." Jennie said. Rosé gladly entered Jennie's room and sat at Jennie's bed comfortably.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Rosé asked, acting like she doesn't have any idea.

"Well... uhm..." Jennie said and sat beside Rosé. "About Lisa. You know what happened to her right?" She added.

Rosé let out a weak smile and answered, "I know this time will come. What do you want to know?"

"Everything." Jennie replied shortly.

"So apparently, Lisa is having some nightmares. I thought it already stopped so I was surprised that it triggered again."

"But why is she having nightmares?"

"Remember the time that you learned that Lisa is gay and she's in love with you? Those hurtful words that you threw, traumatize her and ended disturbing her every night." Rosé said emphasizing the word "every".

Jennie can't believe what she heard. "Y-you mean, I'm the reason why Lisa is having those?"

"Definitely." Rosé felt pity at the girl in front of her. She can feel Jennie's pain right now.

"I-I'm the reason w-why Lisa is s-suffering." Jennie said in a trembling voice. Rosé reached out for her hand and rub the back of it by using her thumb.

"But why aren't you mad at me?" Jennie asked.

"I was there when Lisa experience it for the first time and it really broke my heart Lisa on that state. I really want to be mad at you but Lisa said that you're just blinded by your anger towards your mother which I realize later on that she's right. You experience something at the young age, it's natural for you to be traumatized as well." Rosé explained.

Jennie run out of words to say. She was just staring at the blonde. Her eyes started to watered and anytime her tears will fall. A knock on the door was heard which followed by Jisoo's head who suddenly popped up at the door.

"Chae? Lisa's looking for you. I need she need some help at the kitchen." Jisoo said.

"Okay. I'll be there in a second." Rosé replied. She diverted her eyes back to Jennie. "I'm going." Rosé said before leaving.

As soon as Rosé leave her room, Jennie burst out in tears that she was holding for long. She can't believe that she was the reason for Lisa's nightmare.

"So that's explain why Lisa was looking for Rosé that night." Jennie said between her sobs. "That explains why she's refusing me to go nearer to her."

Jennie's cries grew louder that made her unable to notice that Lisa already entered her room. Rosé told Lisa about what her and Jennie talked about and asked her to check on her. Lisa witnessed how Jennie cried. Jennie is hugging her knees tightly while her face was buried on it. The tall girl definitely can hear her cries. She started to walk towards Jennie and put her right hand on her shoulder.

When Jennie felt the warmth from her shoulder, she slowly lifted up her head. "L-Lisa." She said between her sobs, tears are still streaming down in her face.

"Why are you crying?" Lisa asked that made Jennie's cries grew louder.

"I-I'm s-sorry." Jennie said. Lisa pulled Jennie for a hug as a reflex, just like the last time when she saw Jennie crying because of thunders.

Jennie hugged the latter back tightly. "I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't know." She said repeatedly.

"Hush now Jen. It's fine." Lisa was caressing the back of Jennie's head for comfort.

"I'm really sorry."

Lisa held both of Jennie's shoulder and pushed her softly, enough for their bodies to separate. Lisa cupped Jennie's cheeks and started to wipe her tears using her thumb.

"Calm down. Breathe with me, okay?" Lisa said as she started to guide Jennie so that her breathing will be stable. "Are you okay now?" Lisa said but Jennie didn't answer.

Jennie was about to apologize again when she was cut off by Lisa. "Its fine now Jennie. Everything is in the past. Let's just forget about it and move on, okay?" She said.

"But..."

"No buts. I'm going to get angry if you start saying sorry again." Lisa warned which made Jennie pout. The tall girl chuckled and pat Jennie's head which made the latter smile.

"Are you okay now?" Lisa asked.

"A bit. But I'm hungry." Jennie said in a cute voice.

"The food is waiting. Let's go?" Lisa said which made Jennie's face brighten. "Wait, I have a question." Lisa added.

"What is it?" Jennie answered, still smiling widely at her.

"That girl earlier. The one who's with you at the university."

"What about her?"

"She's pretty." Lisa said which made Jennie's smile turned into a frown. "By any chance, do you know her name?"

Jennie rolled her eyes and went back to her bed.

"Yah! What do you think you're doing?" Lisa said.

"I'm going to sleep."

"But we're supposed to eat dinner."

"I'm sleepy. Leave." Jennie said coldly and covered herself with a blanket.

"Is that so? But, can you tell me her name first? Please?"

"I said leave!" Jennie yelled.

"Okay. Geez." Lisa answered and exited Jennie's room.

"I was just asking her name, why did she got so fired up? Weird." Lisa muttered to herself.
