Engagement Day

The grand hall sparkled with chandeliers and intricate decorations, filled with elegantly dressed guests and laughter. Vivaan stood at the front, dressed sharply in a classic tuxedo, eyes scanning the hall anxiously. It wasn't the crowd or the event making him nervous; rather, memories of yesterday's kiss kept flooding his mind. He still couldn't quite believe how it all unfolded, and now, even more confusing, how it left him wanting more. Each time he tried to focus, his thoughts pulled him back to that moment, leaving him with a mix of excitement and unease.

Advika, dressed in a stunning pastel lehenga that glittered under the hall lights, entered the room with her family by her side. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her soft smile reached her eyes. But as she glanced at Vivaan, she noticed his gaze drifted away, looking almost... distracted. She bit her lip in frustration, unable to decipher the reason behind his strange behavior.

As the ring ceremony approached, both families gathered around. Vivaan's mother placed the ring in his hand with a warm, approving smile, while Advika's aunt beamed, wiping away a tear. Vivaan took Advika's hand, and for a moment, their eyes met. He hesitated, feeling a sudden flush as he remembered her lips on his. Advika, sensing his hesitation, frowned slightly. Without a word, he slid the ring onto her finger, catching his breath when he saw how the diamond sparkled against her skin. Advika, though curious about his mood, forced a smile as she slipped a ring onto his finger.

After the ceremony, guests flooded around them, congratulating the couple. Vivaan tried to play it cool, attending to the guests, but Advika couldn't shake her curiosity. She watched him, her eyes following his every movement, searching for any hint of explanation. At one point, a friendly young woman approached Vivaan, and he engaged in conversation, laughing at something she said. Advika clenched her fists, not sure why it bothered her so much. Her gaze flickered over to a waiter passing by with a tray of drinks, and without thinking, she picked up a glass, intending to calm her nerves.

The sharp burn of alcohol caught her by surprise, but rather than setting it down, she drank it all, needing something to occupy her thoughts. She quickly grabbed another, ignoring the warmth spreading through her veins. When she looked back at Vivaan, he was still laughing, his arm brushing against the girl's shoulder as she leaned in, obviously flirting.

Annoyed, Advika downed the second drink. Her vision grew hazy, but she didn't care. She needed a break from all the forced smiles and confusing emotions. She stood up, wobbling slightly, and left the hall, weaving her way toward an empty room upstairs. Once there, she sank onto the bed, closing her eyes against the dizzying swirl in her head.

Moments later, Vivaan, having noticed her departure, followed her up.

Vivaan entered the room, and before he could even take a breath, Advika surprised him by pushing him back against the wall with unexpected force. The click of the door locking behind her echoed in the quiet room, making his heart race. She swayed slightly, a mischievous smile playing on her lips as she closed the distance between them, her face inches from his. Her eyes were bright, a mix of annoyance and something he couldn't quite name.

"Advika, wait..." he murmured, gently placing his hands on her shoulders to stop her from coming any closer. "Stop it someone will come"he tried to stop her because he is losing his control having her so close to him.

But she wasn't having it. Her brows furrowed as she slapped his hand away. "So what if I'm drunk? You didn't mind coming into my dreams, did you? Do you have any idea what you did?" she asked, her voice rising in frustration, her words slightly slurred.

Vivaan blinked in surprise, trying to keep up. "Your dreams?" he echoed, his own cheeks warming as he tried to process what she was saying.

"Yes!" she huffed, leaning even closer. "You came into my dreams, looked at me... leaned in like you wanted to kiss me," she said, poking his chest, "and then you didn't. You left me hanging! Now it's my turn."

Vivaan was overwhelmed hearing all this , his cheeks had turned red and when he is busy in his own world advika kissed his cheeks making his eyes go wide.

He looked at her who had made a sad face ,"shit nishana chuk gaya(shit I missed the target)". He frowned hearing her words while advika slapped his head making him winch.

He snapped at her ,"What?!, hearing his angry voice advika narrowed his eyes on her which made vivian scared and he asked her softly," I mean what happened" making her smile and she grin looking at him.

She pushed vivan aside making him startle and she kept walking towards the window and he started following her not understanding what she was doing, when she screamed suddenly making vivan eyes widened ,"Vivan raichand is scared of Advika sharma" , people passing from the road there look upwards but before they can see anything.

He closed the window, and tried to hold advika but she kept wandering in the room, and he really got frustrated now , so he went towards her and picked her up on his shoulders, she yelped in shock while he started walking towards the room.

He slowly put her on the bed and was about to stand when she pulled him on herself making him startle firstly then he saw her who is looking at him grinning she started coming closer to him making him eyes go widened , he thought she is going to kiss him, but what she said made him eyes go wide and his cheeks turned red , so she said,"You know what you had a nice ass".

"Baksh de meri izzat ko ,meri maa"(please spare my dignity)" he begged her because hearing her words it seems today she is gonna steal her dignity.

"Hatto buddhu , main tumhari nhi hamara hona wala bacho ki maa hun, samjhe mera bachon ke baap"(You silly , I am not your mother , I am the mother of our future kids , understand father of our future kids) , she said smiling and grinning at him widely.

"Let's get married first , then we will have kids okay , got it mother of my kids" he said laughing now.

She also laughed wholeheartedly and kept talking while Vivan kept looking at her until advika felt tired and slept but even in the sleep she was murmuring.

Vivian smiled looking at her , he kissed her forehead and caressing her face he picked her up in his arms and opening the room door he went outside when he saw agam and Tara talking without fighting, he can't believe his eyes it feels like he is seeing a dream.

He decided to ask agam about it later and he was about to go away from there when Tara saw them , she shouted at him to stop.

She came in front of him and then saw advika was sleeping in his arms.

"What did you do to my best friend" she asked folding her hands and narrowing her eyes on him.

"She was drunk so she fainted and you Miss weirdo girl don't ever think to question me again."he snapped back at her making her glare at me.

She was about to speak something but vivan cut her in between and asked her about advika's room , she glared at him but helped him.

They went towards the advika room and vivan gently put her on the bed and they all were about to go from there when advika murmured ," Vivian raichand is scared of Advika sharma." Vivan sighed while Tara and agam shuffle their laugh.

Vivan looked at them and then dragged agam with him while giving a last glare to Tara.

They went downstairs and after sometime they bid goodbye to everyone.

Vivan , agam and Sarah were coming in the same car when Sarah started talking about all the fun and dance and asked vivan where he and advika are ,why they went missing from their own engagement party?!"

Agam snickered when vivan glared at him,while Sarah looked confused and asked ," Did I miss something?!"

Before vivan could say no agam jumped in between and told her what happened.

Sarah looked at vivan and laughed at him while vivan shook his head trying to not listen to them but his mind kept reminding him of the moments he spent with advika making him smile widely.
