New beginning
Destined with Fate ♡
Author's Pov:
As the final wedding rituals concluded, the mischievous and eagerly awaited joota churai began. Sarah, being from the groomâs side, was determined to guard Vivanâs shoes with all her might, while Ranveer, representing the brideâs side, had his own tricks up his sleeve to steal them.
Sarah stood near Vivan protectively, arms crossed, while her team of cousins and friends formed a human barrier. On the other side, Ranveer, Advikaâs brother, whispered strategies to his team. âFocus on Sarahâdistract her. The rest of us will handle the job.â
Ranveerâs plan was set into motion. While two of his teammates tried to engage Sarah in playful banter, another cousin attempted to sneak behind her. But Sarah, sharp as ever, caught on. âNice try, Mr.khadus!â she said smugly, blocking the attempt.
However, Ranveer wasnât one to give up. He personally stepped forward, diverting Sarahâs attention with mock outrage. âWhy are you so defensive, Sarah? Itâs just a pair of shoes!â
âBecause theyâre my brotherâs shoes, and Iâm not letting you rob him blind,â Sarah retorted, her smirk growing.
Meanwhile, one of Ranveerâs teammates successfully grabbed the shoes and darted off. A loud cheer erupted from the brideâs side as Sarah turned, realizing too late. âRanveer!â she yelled, fuming.
The negotiations began. Ranveer demanded a hefty ransom, grinning ear to ear, while Sarah tried to bring the price down. Little Avni, sitting nearby, watched the entire exchange with wide eyes.
After much playful arguing, Sarah reluctantly handed over the agreed amount, and the shoes were returned, the brideâs side celebrating their victory.
After the lively joota churai ritual, everyone gathered for a meal. Vivan and Advika sat together at one end of the table, their plates filled with food. They were barely eating, instead of that they spent most of the time exchanging shy glances and smiling at each other.
Little Avni, however, refused to leave Sarahâs side. Sitting on Sarahâs lap, she was happily munching on sweets, her tiny hands sticky with dessert. Ranveer, watching this from across the room, walked over.
âAvni, come here. Let Sarah eat,â Ranveer said, extending his arms.
âNo!â Avni replied firmly, clinging to Sarahâs neck.
âAvni, donât make me come after you,â Ranveer said in a mock-serious tone.
Sarah chuckled, brushing Avniâs hair back. âRelax, Ranveer. Sheâs fine here.â
But Ranveer wasnât convinced. Giving Avni a gentle glare, he said, âAvni, oe.â
With a dramatic sigh, Avni slid off Sarahâs lap. âFine!â she said, stomping her little feet before running into Ranveerâs arms.
While vivan's cousins are all laughing having fun khushi and agrima is busy munching on food , meanwhile ansh and akshit are working like waiters for the girls , poor brothers and all the elders of the family are busy with each other.
Advika, watching the exchange, leaned toward Vivan and whispered, âYour family is so chaotic but so loving.â
âYou havenât seen anything yet,â Vivan replied, his eyes twinkling with affection.
Advika stood at the entrance of her home, her heart heavy with emotions. The house that once felt like her safe haven was now about to become just a memory. She stood there silently, looking at the place where she had grown up, all the memories of her parents flashing through her mind. Her eyes welled up, but she quickly wiped them away, trying to compose herself.
Vivan stood beside her, sensing her pain without her saying a word. He gently took her hand, his presence a comforting weight beside her. He didn't say anythingâhe knew words weren't enough. Advika, looking up at him, gave him a faint smile, her gratitude for him overwhelming her. Without her parents here, this moment felt different, but with Vivan by her side, it felt like she wasn't alone.
As Advika stood near the doorway, ready to leave with Vivan, little Avni tugged at her dress, her big, innocent eyes filled with curiosity. She looked up at Advika, asking in a soft voice, "Where are you going, princess?"
Advika, still adjusting to her new life, smiled down at her and replied gently, "Iâm going to my new home, Avni."
Avni tilted her head, her eyes narrowing with thought. Then, with a smile, she replied, "Prince home?" Her words were innocent, but they held so much meaning, and the way she said it made Advikaâs heart flutter.
Ranveer, who had been standing nearby, overheard the conversation. With a playful smile, he leaned down and responded, "Yes, sweetheart, sheâs going to her prince's home now."
Avni beamed with joy, her face lighting up. "Wow, princess and prince together!" she cheered, clapping her hands in delight.
Advika, her heart swelling with emotion, bent down to Avni's level. She took the little girl's hand in hers and smiled warmly. "Yes, little one," she said softly, "I'm going to be with my prince."
Vivan, who had been standing nearby, watched the interaction with a soft smile. He stepped forward, bending down to Avni's level. "Yes, little one," he said, his tone playful yet sincere, "We're going to our home now, and you're always welcome there."
Avni smiled brightly at him, and then at Advika, before running back to join her father. Advika's heart fluttered as she stood there, knowing she had found not just a home, but a family that truly felt like hers.
Advikaâs entry into Vivanâs home was a moment of pure emotion and grandeur. The Raichand mansion, adorned with strings of flowers and glowing lights, radiated warmth and celebration. The air was filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation as the family gathered at the entrance, waiting to welcome their new daughter-in-law.
As the car arrived, Advika stepped out gracefully, her vibrant red saree shimmering under the soft glow of the evening lights. She glanced at the mansion, her heart pounding with a mix of nervousness and joy. Vivan stood beside her, offering a reassuring smile as he gently held her hand, guiding her toward the threshold.
At the doorway, Vivanâs mother stood with an aarti thali, her eyes reflecting happiness and pride. She circled the thali around Advika, blessing her silently before placing a small tilak on her forehead. Advika lowered her gaze respectfully, her heart swelling with emotion.
The rituals began. She nudged the kalash with her right foot, the rice spilling gently onto the floor, symbolizing prosperity entering the house. As she stepped inside, her feet left red alta impressions on the white marble floor, marking her auspicious entry into the Raichand family.
As Advika walked further into the house, she paused for a moment. A wave of nostalgia washed over her as she glanced around the grand hall, the intricate decor, and the familiar corners. Memories of the times she had visited this home before, as a guest, came rushing back. But today, something felt profoundly different.
âThis house felt grand before,â she thought, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, âbut today, it feels like mineâa place where I belong.â Her heart swelled with a sense of warmth and belonging she had never felt before.
The cousins, ever mischievous, stood in her path with grins, gesturing for their âentry fee.â Advika responded with a warm smile, handing over a set of beautifully wrapped gifts. They laughed, impressed by her thoughtful gesture, stepping aside to let her pass.
As Advika reached the center of the house, she turned her head slightly to look at Vivan. He stood close by, his eyes silently conveying his pride and admiration for her. With every step, her initial nervousness melted away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of peace and joy.
This wasnât just a new chapter; it was the beginning of a life she had always dreamed of, in a home that now truly felt like hers.
After Advika entered the house, Vivanâs mother gently guided her toward the temple, followed by the family. The atmosphere was serene, filled with the soft fragrance of marigold flowers and the glow of the diya illuminating the temple space. Advika was handed the matchstick to light the diya, and she did so with a calm smile, performing the ritual gracefully.
Vivan, standing slightly behind her, watched with a mix of nervousness and curiosity. He knew Advikaâs lack of belief in God. Yet, seeing her so composed and sincere during the pooja filled him with relief.
As the ritual ended, Vivan couldnât suppress his question. Stepping closer to her, he whispered softly, âYou⦠you actually did the pooja? I mean, youââ
Before he could finish, Advika turned to him with a serene smile and cut him off gently, âIâve started believing in God.â
The surprise in Vivanâs eyes was evident. âWhy?â he asked, his voice tinged with confusion.
Advikaâs gaze softened as she looked at him and said, âBecause of you. You told me to trust in God. And since youâre his favorite, I think I must be his favorite too now⦠because Iâm your wife.â
Her words made Vivanâs heart skip a beat, and a small, loving smile crept onto his lips. The family watched the exchange silently, touched by the newfound bond between the two. They don't know what they are saying but seeing them too looking at each other adoringly makes everyone present there so happy for them. It was a moment that sealed not just their union but a deeper understanding between them.
The air buzzed with excitement as everyone gathered around the silver bowl filled with milk, rose petals, and floating stones for the ring-finding ritual. Vivan and Advika sat facing each other, their hands poised to dive into the fragrant mixture.
âRemember the rule!â Akshit declared. âWhoever finds the ring will rule the marriage!â
Cheering and teasing erupted from both sides. âGo, Vivan! Show her whoâs boss!â shouted Akshit, while Sarah playfully countered, âBhabhi, make sure he doesnât forget whoâs in charge at home!â
The ritual began, and both Vivan and Advika plunged their hands into the bowl. Their fingers brushed occasionally, sparking a playful yet intense competition. Vivan smirked, pretending to be entirely focused on the task, but his gaze often lingered on Advika's determined face.
After a moment of searching, Vivanâs fingers closed around the ring. He grinned triumphantly, raising it slightly out of the waterâbut then he paused. His eyes softened as he glanced at Advika, her brows furrowed in concentration. Without anyone noticing, he let the ring slip from his fingers back into the bowl and waited for her to find it.
Advikaâs hand suddenly emerged from the bowl, the ring gleaming between her fingers. A victorious smile spread across her face. âGot it!â she exclaimed, holding it up for everyone to see.
The room erupted in cheers and laughter. âBhabhi won! This is just the beginning of her reign!â Sarah teased, clapping her hands.
Advika, still basking in her small victory, didnât notice the glint of amusement in his eyes. Little did she know, Vivanâs quiet act of surrender wasnât lost on Akshit, who nudged him and whispered, âSmooth move, bro.â
"Well, if this is what losing to you feels like, Mrs. Raichand, I might just make it a habit."His flirtatious tone made Advika's cheeks flush, and the teasing from the family only grew louder.
After all the post-marriage rituals, everyone was absolutely exhausted. Vivanâs cousins helped Advika settle down in her new room, and the boys kept themselves busy with the family. The excitement of the day lingered, but Vivan and Advika hardly had a moment to be alone. There were only fleeting glances between them as everyone surrounded them, making their first night together feel distant. Vivan, however, couldn't contain his excitement. He was eager for the night, for it was supposed to be their first time together as husband and wife.
As the evening wound down, Vivan quietly entered their room with high hopes, expecting a beautifully decorated space, as tradition dictated. But when he stepped inside, he found no decorations. The room was simple, and Advika wasn't there. His heart sank, disappointment creeping in. Just as he was about to question the situation, his father walked in.
Vivan turned to him, confusion evident in his eyes. Before he could ask, his father grinned and said, "Vivan, your mother decided that tomorrow is the reception, and there are other functions too. So, your first night will be tomorrow."
Vivan stood frozen, his mind racing with disbelief. "What?!" he exclaimed, the words not registering right away.
His father chuckled at his shocked expression, clearly enjoying the moment. "Beta, now youâll find out what a wife really is," he teased, giving his son a mischievous look.
"Where is Advika then?" Vivan asked, still in shock, unable to comprehend the situation.
"She's with Sarah," his father replied casually, clearly enjoying the confusion in Vivanâs eyes.
His father chuckled at his shocked expression, clearly enjoying the moment. "Beta, now youâll find out what a wife really is," he teased, giving his son a mischievous look.
Vivan blinked, stunned, trying to process the turn of events. It was not what he had imagined for their first night.
