Chapter 34

Broken bed

Destined with Fate ♡

After his father left, Vivan paced around his room, glancing at the clock every few minutes. He sat on the bed, then got up, restless. The idea of spending the night without Advika in the room was something he couldn’t accept. He tried distracting himself, scrolling through his phone, but nothing worked. Hours passed, and his patience wore thin. Finally, he made up his mind.

"Suhagrat nahi mana sakte toh kya hua, voh kam se kam room mein toh reh sakti hai," he muttered to himself, determined. Without wasting another second, he left his room and headed towards Sarah's room, his steps quick and purposeful.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Advika was sitting cross-legged on Sarah's bed, pretending to listen intently to her chatter. Sarah was narrating some family gossip, but Advika's mind was elsewhere. Her nerves were on edge. The thought of sharing a room with Vivan scared her, not because she didn’t trust him but because she wasn’t ready to face the overwhelming emotions that came with it.

"Advika, are you even listening?" Sarah asked, waving her hand in front of her face.

"Huh? Yes... yes, of course," Advika stammered, though her eyes darted nervously towards the door as if expecting Vivan to burst in at any moment.

And as if on cue, the door opened.

There he was—Vivan, standing at the threshold, looking both annoyed and amused. His gaze immediately locked on Advika, who froze like a deer caught in headlights.

Without saying a word, Vivan walked over to her and, before she could protest, scooped her up into his arms effortlessly.

"Ab kahan jaayengi bach kar , Mrs. Raichand?" he teased, a smirk playing on his lips.

“Vivan! What are you doing?” Advika exclaimed, her face turning crimson as she clutched his shoulders for balance.

“Taking my wife back to our room,” he replied casually, throwing Sarah a playful glare. “And you, Sarah, stop being so possessive of her.”

Sarah burst out laughing, shaking her head at her brother’s antics. “Fine, take her. Honestly, looking at Advika’s face, it seemed like she was missing you anyway.”

“Sarah!” Advika gasped, her eyes wide with shock, but Vivan just chuckled, clearly enjoying her flustered state.

As he carried her out of the room, Advika glanced around nervously, embarrassed that someone might see them. “Vivan, put me down! Someone will see us,” she hissed.

He looked down at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “So what? You’re my wife. I have every right.”

By the time they reached their room, Advika had stopped protesting, resigned to his teasing. Vivan kicked the door shut behind them and gently placed her on the bed.

Vivan gently placed Advika on the bed, his eyes never leaving hers. The intensity in his gaze made her heart race. Feeling a wave of nervousness, she instinctively tried to move away, but before she could, he caged her in by placing his hands on either side of her.

Her breath hitched as he leaned in slightly, his smirk teasing her. Advika, flustered, started inching backward on the bed, but Vivan moved closer, matching her retreat with his approach.

The space between their bodies grew smaller, her back finally pressing against the headrest. She realized she had nowhere else to go.

Vivan stopped just a breath away from her, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Now, Mrs. Raichand," he murmured, his voice low and teasing, "where do you think you can run off to?"

Her cheeks turned crimson, and she looked away, unable to meet his gaze. But Vivan wasn't about to let her escape at this moment. His teasing smile softened, though the playful glint in his eyes remained, as he leaned even closer.

Advika quickly placed her hands on Vivan's chest to stop him, her eyes tightly shut. Her cheeks were flushed as she stammered, “M-Maa said not to...”

Vivan leaned back slightly, tilting his head in mock curiosity. “Not to what, Mrs. Raichand?” he asked, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.

She hesitated, her voice barely audible, “M-Maa said we shouldn't...do...you know...all this today.”

His smirk widened, though his tone remained playful. “Do what, exactly?” he asked again, clearly enjoying her flustered state.

She opened her eyes and shot him an exasperated look, one that said, You know what I mean! But Vivan, refusing to let up, leaned in closer, his eyes sparkling mischievously. “I'm afraid I don’t know. You'll have to explain it to me.”

Advika, now thoroughly embarrassed, gave him a little shove, creating some space between them. “Go away!” she huffed, crossing her arms. “I know you’re just teasing me! You’re having fun, aren’t you?”

Vivan chuckled softly, his laughter echoing in the room. He raised his hands in mock surrender, but the playful glint in his eyes stayed. “Alright, alright,” he said, leaning back with a grin. “But I must say, Mrs. Raichand, you’re too cute when you’re trying to be serious.”

Advika rolled her eyes, her heart still racing from his teasing, while he sat back, clearly pleased with himself.

Advika was about to step off the bed when Vivan suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, causing her to fall gently against his chest. Her breath hitched as she felt the warmth of his embrace, her back pressed against him. She turned her head slightly, her wide, nervous eyes meeting his playful ones.

Vivan leaned closer, his lips brushing her ear as he said in a teasing tone, “Maa said not to celebrate the suhagrat, but she didn’t say anything about sleeping together, did she?”

Advika's heart raced as his words sank in. His voice was low, filled with mischief, yet laced with tenderness. “So, Mrs. Raichand,” he continued, his arms still loosely holding her, “you can sleep here with me, right?”

She swallowed hard, her cheeks flushed as she struggled to find a response. Her nervousness only seemed to amuse him further, his gentle laughter rumbling against her back.

Advika nodded shyly, her cheeks burning with a rosy hue. Vivan smirked as he lay back on the bed, stretching out his arms dramatically. “Come on, Mrs. Raichand,” he teased, “your spot is right here.”

She couldn't help but chuckle at his antics, the nervousness easing slightly. Without hesitation, she nestled herself into his embrace, burying her blushing face in the crook of his neck. His warmth and steady heartbeat calmed her as she let out a soft sigh.

Vivan tightened his arms around her protectively and playfully whispered, “Careful, Mrs. Raichand... you’re awakening feelings that might be hard to control.”

Her face heated up even more as she playfully hit his chest. “Stop it!” she mumbled, embarrassed, while his laughter filled the room, soft and loving.

They both eventually fell into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other’s arms, their hearts beating in perfect harmony—a moment of pure bliss marking the start of their journey together.

As the moonlight streamed softly through the window, it bathed the room in a serene glow, illuminating the couple lost in their moment of tender intimacy. Advika nestled herself closer into Vivan’s embrace, her face buried in the crook of his neck, a soft blush warming her cheeks. Vivan held her securely, his arms wrapped protectively around her, his lips curved into a loving smile as he gazed at her peaceful face.

The silvery light of the moon seemed to dance on their intertwined forms, as if blessing their union. The world outside was still, the only witnesses to their love being the gentle breeze rustling through the curtains and the moonlight that caressed them softly. Wrapped in each other's warmth, they found solace in the quietude of the night, their hearts beating in perfect harmony.

In that tranquil moment, with the moon as their silent companion, it felt as if the universe itself had conspired to bring them together, cherishing their pure, unspoken love.

The soft morning light streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Advika stirred awake, her gaze falling on Vivan, who lay beside her with one arm protectively draped over her waist. His peaceful expression and the faint smile on his lips made her heart flutter. She couldn’t help but admire him, her eyes tracing the contours of his face with gentle affection.

Unable to resist, she reached out and softly brushed her fingers over his cheek, her touch light as a feather. The warmth of his skin beneath her fingertips sent a shiver through her, but before she could withdraw, his brow furrowed slightly. Her eyes widened as she froze, realizing her touch had disturbed his sleep.

Just as she began to pull her hand back, his lashes fluttered open, revealing his deep, sleepy eyes. A slow smile spread across his face as he murmured in a husky morning voice, "Good morning, Mrs. Raichand."

Caught red-handed, her cheeks flushed, and she quickly looked away, but Vivan tightened his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. "Don’t stop," he whispered, his gaze filled with playful affection.

Advika hurriedly pushed Vivan away, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. “I need to go shower; everyone must be waiting outside,” she blurted, avoiding his teasing gaze. She rushed toward her luggage but struggled to open her bag amidst the pile of others.

Seeing her frustration, Vivan walked over with a smirk, effortlessly picked up her bag, and placed it on the bed. “Open it now,” he said with a playful grin.

Advika sighed, smiled softly at his gesture, and began unzipping the bag. But to her horror, the very first item on top was a delicate, lacy nightgown. Her eyes widened in shock, and she quickly slammed the bag shut with a loud thud.

But it was too late. Vivan had already seen it, and his mischievous grin grew wider. Without missing a beat, he reached out to open the bag again.

“Vivan, this is the wrong bag! Please go away!” Advika exclaimed, desperately trying to block his hands.

“Oh really? It seems like the perfect bag to me,” Vivan teased, thoroughly enjoying her flustered state as he playfully tried to wrestle the bag from her.

Their tug-of-war escalated quickly, and in the chaos, they both lost their balance. With a surprised yelp, they tumbled onto the bed, landing in a heap. The bag spilled open, its contents scattering across the bed.

As they both landed on the bed, their laughter subsided, and Vivan's eyes sparkled mischievously. He reached out, carefully picking up the delicate nighty with his fingers, holding it up teasingly.

Advika's cheeks turned crimson as she gasped, quickly snatching the nighty back from him. “Give that back!” she said, her voice a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

Without looking at him again, she hurriedly grabbed some other clothes from the bag, stuffed the rest back in, and snapped the bag shut. Clutching her clothes to her chest, she marched toward the bathroom, avoiding his amused gaze.

As she disappeared behind the door, Vivan chuckled softly to himself, shaking his head.
