Chapter 1168
When His Eyes Opened
At 11 oâclock at noon, Avery got off work early from the company to find a place to change the phone
screen. She searched the mobile phone brand store on the mobile phone map and saw the nearest one,
about a kilometer away from her.
She walked over and handed the phone over to the after-sales service. After waiting for about half an
hour, the phone with a brand new screen was handed back to her.
After she paid the bill, she came out of the mobile phone store.
It was lunchtime and she dialed Mike.
âIâm out now, what do you want to eat? Iâll bring it to you.â
Mike was very confused when he heard Averyâs voice.
If she was told that he told Elliot about her, she would definitely be furious.
âIâve made an appointment with someone in the department.â Mike politely refused.
âWell. Then Iâll go back directly.â Avery could clearly feel Mikeâs attitude towards her Somewhat unusually
cold, but she had a headache and didnât have the energy to think about it.
After hanging up, she walked back to the company and drove the car away.
She has only a week left. She had to think about how to talk to Elliot in a week.
Sterling Group.
After thinking for two hours, Elliot decided not to ask Avery. As Mike said, even if he asked Avery, she
probably wouldnât say it.
This incident definitely didnât happen in the past two days. She endured it for so many days and didnât
say it. How could she tell him the truth now?
Unless Elliot gets evidence that she was threatened.
Evidence is easy to find for him.
As long as he got the content of the call between her and Henry and his son. He dialed the phone and
asked someone to check Averyâs call.
After the call, his office door was knocked open.
âBoss, what do you want for lunch?â Chad walked in.
âNo appetite.â His face was bleak and voice was cold.
Chadâs heart skipped a beat, unable to guess what was going on: âThen Iâll buy some as you like.â
After Chad finished speaking, he quickly left the office.
On the way to buy lunch, he called Ben Schaffer and said, âBrother Ben, something is wrong with my
boss.â
Ben Schaffer: âWhatâs wrong with him? I saw him in the morning and he was fine.â
Chad worriedly said, âI asked him what he had for lunch, and he said he had no appetite. Itâs mainly
because his face is so bad. I donât dare to ask what happened. But I have a feeling that it must have
happened.â
âYou called me because you wanted me to ask him what happened, right?â Ben Schaffer couldnât help
crying.
Chad flattered, âWell, Iâm just a little assistant. Brother Ben, you are different. Brother Ben, what do you
want to eat? I bought it for you.â
âOkay! Iâll go see him. Buy me something light, I have a bad stomach recently.â
After talking on the phone, Ben Schaffer came to Elliotâs office.
Pushing open the office door and seeing Elliot, he immediately understood why Chad was worried.
Elliotâs complexion was really bad, completely different from when he saw it in the morning.
âElliot, itâs time for get off work, letâs go have lunch!â Ben Schaffer said enthusiastically in the same tone
as usual.
âChad went and bought it for me.â Elliot refused.
âOh, then Iâll ask Chad to bring me one as well.â Ben Schaffer said, pulling the chair opposite him away
and sitting down, âWhatâs wrong, your face is so bad? I thought about it, the company didnât go out.
Whatâs the matter!â
Elliot: âLet me be quiet.â
âOkay, if you have something to do, donât keep it in your heart. Tell me anytime.â After Ben Schaffer
finished speaking, he got up and walked out.
About half an hour later, Elliotâs cell phone rang.
At the same time, there was a knock on the office door, and Chad walked in with his lunch.
