Chapter 2661
When His Eyes Opened
The doctor saw that Layla had fallen asleep, so he whispered to Eric, âIs your hand numb?â
Eric: âItâs okay.â
The two came out of the bedroom.
âWill she still have the needle tomorrow?â Eric stretched his wrist and asked.
âLook at her condition tomorrow. If she doesnât vomit tomorrow, she wonât need to get an injection. She
will be fine after taking medicine.â The doctor replied, âThe important thing is that she must eat lightly
and not indiscriminately. âRested for a week or so, she will be back to normal.â
âDoes she want to rest for a week?â
âYes. She must eat a light diet this week, and it is best to eat porridge or noodles, which are easier to
digest.â
The doctorâs words made Eric fall into silence.
Layla said that she would go home to cook for her family on Friday, so she might not be able to go
back.
The next morning, Layla woke up with a thirsty mouth and a hungry chest against her back.
She lifted the quilt and wanted to find water to drink.
The moment she got off the ground, she felt like her body was floating, and if she lost her center of
gravity at any moment, she would fall down.
So she leaned on the wall and walked out of the bedroom.
Unexpectedly, a scent wafted over.
It wasnât the smell of big fish and meat. In her current state, she couldnât eat big fish or big meat at all. It
was porridge.
âHeyâ¦â Layla saw Eric busy in the kitchen, so she opened her mouth.
âAre you awake?â Eric brought the green vegetable porridge to the dining table and helped her up,
asking, âHow do you feel now?â
âHungry, thirsty, tired⦠â Layla supported herself to sit down.
Ericâs vegetable porridge was very fragrant.
Layla smelled the fragrance, and her stomach growled in disappointment.
âDidnât you say you donât know how to cook?â Laylaâs nose was slightly sour, and she stirred the
porridge with a spoon to dissipate the heat.
âI donât need any skills to cook porridge.â Eric served himself a bowl of porridge and sat down opposite
her, âAre you still sick today?â
âNot for the time being. Letâs see if you will feel sick after eating breakfast!â Layla took a spoonful of
porridge and blew gently.
âDo you regret moving out?â Eric saw that her face was still pale and haggard, and he had never seen
her like this before.
âThereâs nothing to regret. Itâs not terminally ill.â Layla put the porridge in her mouth. The taste was
neither salty nor bland.
âDonât say such unlucky words.â
âThank you for last night! If you didnât bring the doctor, Iâm afraid I wouldnât be able to hide it from my
family.â Laylaâs words reminded Eric.
âThe doctor said that you need to recuperate for a week before you can recover. For the next week,
you have to eat a light diet.â Eric said, âWhy donât you tell your family!â
Layla suddenly panicked.
After finishing the porridge, she made a decision: âThen I wonât go back on Friday.â
âYour parents will ask you why, what do you say?â
âIâll ask my best friend for help.â Layla took out her phone and gave Daisy a message.
About an hour later, Daisy arrived.
âLayla, why are you so haggard?â Daisy took Laylaâs hand and asked, âDo you want to go to the
hospital?â
âIâm fine. The doctor came to see me last night.â Layla sat on the edge of the bed, feeling better than
when she just woke up. âYou just need to lie for me. Iâm afraid my parents will be worried.â
âThis is no problem!â Daisy said, glancing at Eric, who was standing beside her, out of the corner of her
eye, âEric, Is it really you?â
Daisy wanted to say, âYou look much handsomer in real life than in photos, and you didnât show your
real age at all.â
No wonder Layla was so fascinated.
âYeah. Letâs talk; Iâll go grocery shopping.â After Eric finished speaking, he turned and left.
Daisy immediately asked Layla excitedly: âYou two⦠Are you on good terms?â
