Chapter 3186
When His Eyes Opened
Lucas hung up the phone, and her eyes suddenly moistened.
Hazel stood next to Lucas and asked, âLucas, whatâs wrong?â
Lucas: âMy mother passed away. You go play with your elder brother and the others! Iâll go to the
hospital.â
Hazel: âIâll accompany you! Auntie was fine just now; why did she leave suddenly?â
The two walked towards the car, completely forgetting about Hayden and Joanna.
Hayden and Joanna felt a little embarrassed when they saw them getting into the car and leaving in a
hurry.
Joanna: âHusband, letâs go to the hospital to check it out! It seems that Lucasâs mother passed away.â
Hayden: âYeah.â
The two stopped a car on the side of the road and followed Lucasâs car.
Hospital.
Lucas rushed to the hospital and first saw the doctor and Mr. Hogan.
Mr. Hogan said in a flattering tone, âLucas, I originally came to the hospital to see your mother, but
when I came, she was already dead. Oh! Itâs such a pity!â
Lucas: âAre you sure she was dead before you came? I was here today, too. When I came to see her,
she was clearly alive!â
Mr. Hogan: âEverything I say is true! If you donât believe me, ask the doctor!â
âI donât ask the doctor!â Lucas said this and looked at the nurse huddled in the corner. âAunt Boily, how
did my mother die? Was it before he came here or after he came?â
The nurse was so frightened that she didnât know what to say.
Mr. Hogan glared at the nurse angrily: âMy son asked you, what are you talking about? When I came
here, I didnât see you at all! Are you hiding and playing outside?â
The nurse immediately answered Lucas: âWhen your father came, I went to the water room to fetch
water. I didnât see when your father came nor when your mother passed away. Iâm sorry! I donât want
this monthâs nursing fee!â
After the nurse finished speaking, she quickly left the ward.
Lucas took a deep breath and walked to the bedside.
Isabelaâs body was still warm, but she would never be able to open her eyes again.
âLucas, donât be sad. Your mother has been living in pain since she got sick. Now that sheâs gone,
maybe itâs a relief for her!â Mr. Hogan comforted Lucas.
âWhat nonsense are you talking about?â Lucas roared, âGet out right now! I donât want to see you! My
mother doesnât want to see you either!â
Mr. Hogan: âWhy are you yelling at me? Itâs not me who killed your mother. Your mother died of illness,
and it had nothing to do with me!â
âWhy did you come to the hospital? My mother doesnât want to see you at all! You are definitely the one
who made my mother so angry!â Lucas said angrily, âGet out of here right now! If you donât get out,
donât blame me for attacking you!â
Mr. Hogan was afraid and immediately took two steps back: âDonât I want to help your mother handle
her funeral? If you donât need my help, forget it! After your motherâs funeral is settled, I will talk to
Hazelâs family to meet.â
âGet out!â Lucas yelled.
Mr. Hogan exited the ward.
Hayden and Joanna happened to come over.
Mr. Hogan looked at them both and quickly recognized Hayden.
âYou are Hazelâs brother Hayden, right? Hello, I am Lucasâs biological father.â Mr. Hogan reached out to
shake Haydenâs hand.
Hazel heard the sound and immediately ran outside the ward.
Hazel said, âBrother, please ignore him!â
Hayden nodded, then passed Mr. Hogan and walked to Hazel.
