-Part twelve-

Zara's pov

It's now Friday, I have not seen Mia or Enzo since Tuesday when they came into my bakery, and to say I was slightly disappointed they didn't stop by would be an understatement

Maybe Enzo is just busy?

I just got done with my shift, today I had a half-day because I needed to go to Enzo's house

I'm now driving to his house, and it's not that far of a drive, when I pull into the gate my mouth is on the floor...I mean shoot I knew this man had money but! Gosh dang this house is like a mansion

I get greeted by a guard who opens the door to let me inside and it's even nicer on the inside

This is beautiful compared to my dump of an apartment

I don't even know how he managed to get this big of a place so close to the city!

He sure does love black...where's the white?

Maybe I can persuade him into something light in here

Don't get me wrong it's beautiful, but compared to my apartment that is bright white...it's very different

And I would be lying if I said it didn't give me a little anxiety with how dark it looks in here because of the black

And it always comes back to my damn parents...but at this point, I don't even think I can call them that, they were simply just the people who didn't use a damn condom and punished me for it

He's not like my parents I need to remind myself

He wouldn't hurt me, it's just my mind playing tricks on me it's just a house it's an aesthetic it's ok, breathe Zara your okay

Before I can overthink too much Enzo comes around the corner

"Hi Zara, you look nice, thank you for coming" he smiles as he walks towards me

Is he lying? I mean my outfit is pretty boring today

I really like thrifting, and New York has lots of thrift shops which is great

And I always wear baggy clothing that hides most of my skin

It's not that I'm insecure or anything, it's just I got so used to hiding the bruises and cuts my parents gave me that it felt weird to suddenly wear fewer clothes...I guess and I have scars on my stomach and thigh area so there's that too

"Thank you, you look nice as well" I smile up at him

Damn, I will never get over his suits there so hot....

I wonder if he has abs, UGH ZARA STOP, you can not be thinking of that right now

"So where is Mia" I ask him

"She's just in the kitchen follow me," he says as he gestures me to follow

As I look around I can't help but have my anxiety ease as Enzo is next to me, I don't know why but I feel safe around him

It's probably weird to say that when I haven't known him that long

But there's something about him, that's comforting

He leads me to the kitchen which has white countertops!!! It's like it was made for me

And little Mia is sitting ,watching as an older woman which I can only assume is Maria cooking some sort of pasta dish

Mia spots me and jumps off her chair and runs to me

"ZEEEEE YOUR HEREEEE" she runs up to me and hugs me

And I can't help but laugh shes just to precious

she has already taken half my heart

"Well thank you again for watching her Zara, but I sadly have to go or else I will be late" Enzo looks at his watch and back up at me

I never noticed how veiny his arms are...oh and the rings on his hands are just! ZARA STOP IT

Okay I can't help it there's a snake ring that I can't keep my eyes off of and his hands are just...NO GOD NO ZARA! You are here to watch his CHILD!

"No problem we will see you later then" I smile up at him

"Alright, feel free to walk around or have Maria and Mia show you around the house" he smiles as he heads out a door which I can assume is the garage

"Oh here is some chocolate cake, you can probably have some after dinner" I put a box down on the counter

Mia then has the biggest smile on her face

She grabs my hand and starts dragging me around the house to show me around while Maria finishes up dinner

This man has MONEYYY holy crap it's beautiful

my mouth drops as Mia leads me to a room filled with books

Oh, it's like a DREAM, I love my romance books I just finished reading the made series and all I can say is that the 3 men in the series are hot!

"Mia it's absolutely beautiful!" I screech being a little too excited

"You can read any books you wish to," a voice says behind me

"Oh hi, your Maria right ?" I ask

"Yes I am the cook" she smiles sweetly

"Just wanted to say dinner is ready and you guys can come to eat when you're finished with the tour"

"Alright thank you so much will be there in a minute" I smile

She finished up showing the main spaces in the house

Well can't expect much of a tour from a 5-year-old, she only showed me the kitchen, game room, her room, the library, and now the pool

"Oh wow this is nice," I say under my breath

"WE SHOULD GO SWIMMING AFTER WE EAT!!" Mia jumps up and down tugging at my hand to the kitchen

I laugh "I would but I didn't bring a swimsuit"

"Awww that sucks," she says with a sad expression

"But you can always swim and I can keep watch while I read a book" I smile up at her

"Okay!" She chirps

We get to the kitchen and I ask Maria if she needs any help cleaning up or anything and she says "oh no your alright hun we have cleaners for that here" dang...I don't know why I am surprised if I was rich I would have people cleaning for me too

We then sit down to eat the delicious Italian looking pasta dish

---------about 2 hours later--------

I am now sitting by the pool reading the book "the fine print" by Lauren Asher and it's super good!!!

Mia is in the kiddy pool that they have in here, originally I was nervous for her to be in the big pool as a 5-year-old but then Maria told me that they have a pool for her that they have set up

The past 2 hours have been pretty chill I have been playing Barbie's with Mia in her room, and now I'm reading while Mia is playing with dolls in the pool

"ZARAAA" Mia yells

"What's wrong sweetheart" I walk over to the pool

"Can we pls watch a movie and have some chocolate cake" she smiles cutely...I mean how can you say no to her

"Of course let's just give you a bath and get you changed," I say as I help her out of the pool

We're now sitting watching tangled...Mia is naming all the ways she thinks I am rapunzel which I think is pretty adorable

"Do you have a prince?" She asks

"No sweetie I don't, but maybe I will someday" I smile down at her and giggle as I see her face covered in chocolate cake

"What about my daddy! He doesn't have a princess and your one" she smiles

"Oh I'm sure your daddy doesn't like me in that way" I smile at her

"But he said he liked you, " she says looking at me confused

WAIT He said WHAT!...hold on Zara don't get to excited

"What do you mean, what did he say," I ask trying not to freak out too much

"He said your very sweet and that your pretty and he likes you" she smiles sheepishly

he thinks I'm pretty and he likes me!!! maybe he said he likes me in a friendship type of way?

"Well that's super sweet I like your daddy too" I smile down at her while wiping the chocolate off her face
