Zara's pov

It's been over 2 months, I'm now legally Mia's mom

Enzo has been acting extremely weird lately, but I don't read too much into it, I asked if he was okay and he said it was just work

He told me he wanted to take me out today, I love when we go on dates, usually ava and matt watch mia when we go out or sometimes maria

I get ready and my outfit is pretty fun today, I've been getting more and more confident with wearing what I want, especially with Enzo making sure I know I'm beautiful every chance he gets

(Her outfit^)

Enzo then picks me up

"You look beautiful la Mia Regina" he whispers in my ear and kisses me ( my queen)

"Thank you, you look very nice as well Il Mio re," I say grinning at him ( my king)

"I thought today we could do a pretty chill date, I know you keep saying you wanna get some Chick-fil-A and then get some books from bookstore so that's what we're gonna do" he smiles

"Your the best," I say jumping into his arms

I have been saying I want Chick-fil-A a lot recently and I do really want some books at the bookstore

He's just perfect and it's so cute how he listens to me and remembers random little things

He laughs "you are pretty great too," he says kissing me slowly and gently

We both go get some chick-fil-a and we just talk for a while and hang out a bit

We walk around New York with some coffee that we got after Chick-fil-A just talking and walking to the bookstore

This is literally my ideal date! I love him so much

He knows to me the most special dates are the simplistic ones that focus on being with your person rather than dressing up fancy and going to an expensive dinner

Of course, I love luxury like any girl but when you get down to the reality of it...on a date I just want to spend time with Enzo and not worry about if my overpriced dress got any sauce on it from the food I ate

We walk to the bookstore and he stops me in front of it

"I rented the space out so it's just us in here" he smiles

This is amazing! I can now sing my heart out in here without anyone staring now

"CAN WE SLOW DANCE IN HERE!!" I say excitedly

He chuckles "anything you want Zara, anything at all"

We walk in and walk over to the romance section

As I turn the corner I turn around to see Enzo gone

I knit my eyebrows...

He did NOT just leave me!

Ugh whatever

I annoyed go over to the romance

I get a little side tracked in the poetry section but then after about 5 minutes go to the romance section

As I walk over I stop dead in my tracks

HOLY SHIT.

The romance section is filled with twinkle lights and I immediately start tearing up

How did I not realize that this is literally what I told Enzo is my ideal way to get proposed to

And the man actually listened and remembered

I walk more into the romance section to see Enzo standing there

He sees me and grins "took you long enough to get here"

At this point, my tears are uncontrollably flowing down my face

He steps closer to me and starts talking "you probably Caught onto what is happening" he grins

I smile and he wipes my tears

"The moment I entered that cafe and saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen with Mia...and handling her with love I knew you were gonna be in my life...weather it was as mias nanny or more, I feel like from the start we had an automatic connection, even though it took us both some time to admit that to each other...

I want to spend my life with you, I want you to give me everything, your pain, hurt, anger anything and everything gives it to me all because I love you so much and I will take on all your pain with you, there's no you anymore, it's us...and now that you have me I don't want you ever worrying if someone's there for you or if someone loves you because I'm right here and I always will be

Your mias mother now and I couldn't be anymore happier with seeing the way you handle her, from the very beginning I've felt like you were her mother, and it feels like we're a family...a perfectly beautiful family but something is missing and it's the fact your not my wife, you are my half the better half...you make me a better man you make me smile more than I ever have, you help brighten my day with something as little as your smiles or hugs, the fact that you feel safe with me means the world to me because I want to be that for you I want to be the shoulder you can cry on the person you can go to for absolutely anything and everything..."

He then slowly gets on one knee and pulls out a little box

My heart is racing, my tears are flowing, and my heart feels full and happy thinking about spending forever with him

"So...Zara Ricci will you want to be a moretti? will you marry me?" He asks

Before he can even open the box to show the ring I say "YES!!!" And wrap my arms around his neck

He laughs "that's good I can't lie that was kind of nerve racking"

I smile into his neck

"You know you didn't even let me open the box for the ring" he laughs

"I don't care, as much as I love jewelry I'm going to marry you not a ring so I don't care what it looks like I'd marry you in a blue raspberry or watermelon ring pop" I grin

"WHAT? Not a cherry one?" He smirks

"That one too but blue raspberry and watermelon are my favorites" I smile

He laughs, I remove my hands around my neck and he slowly opens the box and my heart stops it's absolutely Perfect, he knows I've talked about wanting a dainty simplistic wedding ring

(Something like this^...but you can imagine what you want)

"this is absolutely perfect Enzo" I cry while he slowly puts it on

I admire the ring from all angles and it's mesmerizing how beautiful it is

He smiles "Sophia and Ava helped pick it out"

"Wait? When were Ava and Sophia able to be together?" I say confused

He laughs "I flew out my mom about 2 months ago because she really wanted to help pick it out and of course I wanted your best friends input as we'll cus she knows you very well" he smiles

"You're the absolute best Enzo" I hug him tightly and

Then give him a big kiss

"We're engaged" I whisper

"Yeah we are la Mia Regina" he grins kissing me (my queen)

"How do you say my husband in Italian" I whisper in his ear

He grins widely " Mio marito" he whispers in my ear

"Mio marito...that has a nice ring to it" I grin back (My husband)

"Yeah it really does and so does Mia moglie" he grins (my wife)

"I'm gonna assume that means my wife?" I laugh

"You assume right" he grins

I laugh

"What?" He questions

"You know what I realized..." I say

"What?" He says

"All of this started technically..." I start laughing not being able to finish my sentence

"Spill it Zara" he laughs

I laugh then say

"A piece of cake"

There is an epilogue and then it will be officially done!!

I might make an extra epilogue or extra chapters of things you guys wants to see more of (not including Smut cus yall no I can't write that😭) I could do maybe a bit of Ava and Matt or something else idk
