Chapter 10 : Kidnapped

And here we go...a few more chapters and this transition arc is almost done.

It's going to be so cool.

[Hospital Hallway - 0300 Hours]

It was very quiet in the dimly lit hallway. Identical doors lined the walls but someone sat on a chair, guarding outside one of them. Faint rays from a light illuminated their figure and face. It was the buff nurse from earlier. The corners of his eyes were slightly moist from yawning. A small but thick book was in his hands. He turned page...after page...after page.

He stood up and stretched, mid-stretch he froze. He heard someone open a door from the emergency stairwell, and there was a sound of glass breaking. He went to investigate.

He opened the door at the end of the hallway and headed down the stairs. He walked all the way to the bottom, peering through the glass windows of the doors on each floor. He didn't see anyone yet, but he found the source of one of the noises he heard. A couple floors below where he was stationed, he found the remains of a broken soda bottle. He grabbed a broom from a nearby utility closet and quietly but swiftly cleaned up the mess. He then creeped up back to the floor he came from and silently opened the door. He heard movement in the room he was supposed to be guarding. He moved towards the room. The door opened and two guys in dressed in black and wearing tactical gear rolled out Koto, still attached to his bed. They caught sight of the nurse and froze like deer caught in headlights. For a few moments, they just stared at each other.

Tactical Guy #3 : "Well...this is awkward."

The nurse inhaled to let out a big bellow that would have woken up the entire block.

*WACK!*

The nurse slumped to the ground. Unconscious. Standing behind him, wielding a oddly shaped bat, was another tactical guy.

Tactical Guy #5 : "Wow! I never knew the Forget Me Stick would work this well!"

One of the other men gestured franticly.

Tactical Guy #2 : "Shh! Your gonna wake up the kid."

Tactical Guy #5 : "Sorry."

The men dragged the nurse into the room and stuffed him in a closet. They rolled Koto (still sleeping) down a series of hallways until they came to an elevator. They loaded Koto onto the elevator and went down to the ground floor. They rolled him out and towards the back entrance of the hospital. The van was waiting for them when they left the building. They loaded Koto into the van and sped off. The back of the van was a little cramped, but they luckily had two of their guys sitting in the front seats. The van sped down the dark streets towards an unknown destination.

-5 Hours Later-

[Nezu's Office - UA High]

Nezu was just finishing up a cup of tea with a side of cheese when he received a call from his desk phone. Recognizing the caller ID, he picked it up.

Nezu : "Shota! It hasn't even been a day yet. Did you find someone more suited to take care of our problem child?"

Eraserhead : "I just got off the phone with the police. The kid has been kidnapped."

Nezu gasped.

Nezu : "What happened?"

Eraserhead : "Some guys came in and knocked out the nurse that was guarding the door. They found him stuffed in a closet. Then they took the boy along with his bed."

Nezu : "Do we have any idea who they were or where they went?"

Eraserhead : "Well according to the camera's footage and the nurse's statement, they were dressed in what appeared to be tactical operations gear. The kind you would see on a Tokushu Butai squad, or some other Special Unit. We don't know where they went but the police is working on it."

Nezu : "Perhaps I can be of assistance."

Eraserhead : "What did you have in mind?"

Nezu grinned as he picked up another cup of tea he took from his steaming tea drawer, full of cups of Yorkshire Tea.

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip*

Nezu : "Well...I managed to get access to the city's public surveillance systems and can use an 'algorithm' I made to scan through all the footage to recreate the kidnappers route and use that as a reference to pinpoint the exact location of their destination!"

Eraserhead : "That's...impressive..."

Nezu : *siiiiiiiiiiiiip*

Eraserhead : "...Wait. That's illegal."

Nezu : *SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP*

Nezu set down his now empty cup of delectable Yorkshire Tea upside down on the plate he used as a coaster.

Nezu : "Only if you get caught. If I do, I already have a team of the world's top lawyers on speed dial. And if that doesn't work, I have some information that is very sensitive to certain judges. And if that doesn't work I can just use my own influence to simply get the case dropped. Its about the only thing my connections with local politicians is useful for. But to prevent this hypothetical fiasco from ever happening, I have already secured the line 5 seconds into our conversation. It will never appear on any kind of digital record."

Eraserhead : "Jeez, Nezu. Promise you won't become a supervillain and try to take over Japan..."

Nezu : "Hahahaha. You don't need to be a supervillain to do that..."

Eraserhead : "..."

Nezu : "..."

Eraserhead : "..."

Nezu : "My 'algorithm' will take some time to comb through the city's data. I'll contact you when I have gathered all the necessary information. In the meantime, try to keep this whole kidnapping incident on a very low profile. Don't involve any heroes who are not involved already. We don't know for sure who these people are. Any leak could make the situation more complicated."

Eraserhead : "Yeah, sure. I got ya."

Nezu nodded.

Nezu : "And Shota. Thank you for your help. You have no idea how useful you are to me."

Eraserhead : "I hope you mean that in a good way."

Nezu : "Hahaha. I'll have to call you back. Bye."

Nezu hung up. He typed some stuff in his computer and a holographic projection of more monitors beamed around him. He typed in more stuff and feeds from various street cameras. He leaned back in his chair as his eyes scanned the monitor's, watching his 'algorithm' spread through out the city's cloud surveillance servers.

Nezu : "Its only a matter of time. Whoever you people are are, I will find you. And I will...deal with you appropriately..."

Nezu got another steaming cup of tea.

[Twice's Evil Incorporated! (Just an abandoned warehouse he uses)]

Jin was scolding Koto as he lied in bed. Jin still had his tactical gear on. His clones worked about, dismantling the surveillance van of its monitors. They needed some more for Netflix and a gaming tournament...a tournament that Koto now is banned from participating in.

Jin : "What were you thinking!?! You could have been killed!"

Koto pulled on his special puppy eyes move. It was lethal.

He bawled.

Koto : "I'M SOWWRYYY!!! (*waaah*)"

Jin and his clones clutched their chests. One of them shouted his support.

Twice clone #4 : "No! We can't give in Twice's!"

Koto advanced his emotional attack.

Koto : "*wah, hiccup* I (*hiccup* just wanted to be a cuwl villain like you! *wah, hiccup, wah*. And *hiccup* then I was gonna show you the hero I cauwt *wah*. And then I wanted you to say how proud you were of me *hiccup, wah*. And then we were gonna get icecweam hiccup, wah, hiccup, wah."

The clones made some sort of squealing sound. They practically melted. No, wait. They literally did. They were just on the floor now, nothing but puddles of mud. Jin was on his knees bent over. He let out a mumble.

Jin : "He's too strong..."

Jin got up and patted Koto's casted foot, trying to calm him down.

Jin : "Hey, stop crying. I'm not mad at you.

Koto : "*sniff* You're not? *sniff*"

Jin : "Well...maybe a little. Look, I'm just really glad your safe and sound (minus the severe injuries). We'll have to get a doctor to look at you. Those heroes will pay for what they did to you."

Koto : "Um. He felt bad about it."

Jin : "Who?"

Koto : " *sniff* The hero who punched me."

Jin : "Who was the hero?"

Koto : "*sniff* Um, I don't know. He was big, muscly, had yellow hair and his smile was shiny. His hair was yellow. *sniff*"

Jin : "...Did he smile a lot and have a big laugh?"

Koto : "*sniff* Yes."

Jin went really quiet, then he started speaking.

Jin : "Y-you fought ALL MIGHT!?! That's awesome! Wait? Why did you have to pick a freaking All  Might?! You could have died! You are very grounded...did you win?"

Koto : "No."

Jin : "Figures. So how are you feeling? Does it hurt?"

Koto put on a cheery smile.

Koto : "Nope. I'm strong. But I'm really hungry."

Jin pulled out a combat knife and raised it to his face.

Jin : "Don't worry. I'll cook you the biggest steak known to man!"

Koto : "Yay! Thanks Jin! Your the best!"

*BOOM!*

Something or someone powerful smashed through the side of the warehouse. The smoke cleared and Koto and Jin saw that it was All Might, with various police forces behind him. Koto spotted a couples of heroes in the background.

All Might : "You there! You're under arrest! Drop the knife and step away from the boy!

Jin waved his hands about.

Jin : "WAIT! It's not what it looks like!"

This was bad. This was very very bad.

Koto's mind raced for a solution. He was stuck in a body cast and the nanites in his body had only healed him halfway. He couldn't run away or fight. And there was Jin. Koto couldn't let Jin be caught. But Koto knew Jin. He knew that at this point Jin would be very protective, especially against heroes, and even more so against All Might. Jin would never abandon Koto to them. But that was a problem. In order for Jin to escape, Koto needed him to run away and leave Koto behind. Thankfully, Koto had a plan.

He screamed at the top of his lungs.

Koto : "AHHH!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! A VILLAIN!!! WAAAAAAAAHH!!"

Jin spun around to face Koto, confusion and irritation on his face.

Jin : "WHAT?! YOU TRAITOR! I'm so gonna kill you!"

All Might's face flashed with worry. He started moving towards Jin.

All Might : "DROP THE KNIFE!!!"

Jin faractically faced All Might again, waving his hands about with more speed.

Jin : "Wait! WAIT! That came out wrong!"

Koto : "HELP MEEEE!"

Jin : "YOU BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!"

All Might dashed towards Jin, slapping hard to the side and letting Jin hit the other side of the warehouse. Jin dropped the knife. All Might planted himself between Jin and Koto.

All Might : "Its over villain! You will face justice for your crimes against the innocent!"

The other heroes moved in, restraining Jin. Jin struggled against them.

Jin : "NO! You can't take him away from us!"

Jin stopped struggling. Slowly, mud started pouring from the gaps in his suit. The mud formed clones of Jin as it spread throughout the warehouse The other heroes started readying their quirks and getting into stances.

Jin : "I never thought I would have to use it this soon. Infinite Doubles! - Sad Man's Parade!"

Koto : "NO!"

Koto now regretted telling Jin that he was the real one.

The clones clashed with the heroes and the police, cloning themselves faster than they could be put down. For every clone destroyed, two more replaced them. A bunch dogpiled All Might, restricting his movements and forcing him away from Koto and into the mosh pit mixture of heroes, clones, and police. With so many police and heroes around him, All Might was unable to pull of and power moves that could wipe out all the clones at once. It would cause too much colateral. Not to mention the attack could end up hitting Koto.

The real Jin got out of the fray and led a smaller group of clones towards Koto. They swarmed around him, pushing him out of the warehouse and clearing a path. The real Jin was holding the edge of Koto's hospital cart/bed. The amount of clones increased, pouring out of the warehouse and out the windows. The police were practically drowning, but a few of the heroes managed to get out of the group. They attacked the clones around Koto and managed to get him to 'safety'. They found the real Jin and one of them used a sort of bubblegum quirk to stick him to the ground. But Jin's clones created even more clones and managed to get him free. They pushed back the heroes and went after the one holding Koto. But the hero teleported himself and Koto to the top of a nearby building. The hero spoke to Koto after he was sure they were out of the area.

Hero : "Are you ok kid?"

Koto was crying again. Real tears this time. He saw Jin on top of another building overlooking the street the hero and Koto were on. The hero hadn't noticed Jin yet and he was starting to make more clones.

Koto : " *sniff* No. *sniff*"

Jin was about to jump down with his clones, but Koto stared him down with his eye's. Jin hesitated. Koto spoke to the hero, and indirectly to Jin.

Koto : "*hiccup, wah* The villain was hurting me. *hiccup, wah* If he knew what was good for him, he would run away. *hiccup, wah* There are heroes and police everywhere. *hiccup, wah* He's a gonna get really hurt if *hiccup, wah* if they catch him. *hiccup, wah, hiccup, wah*"

The hero patted Koto on the head, trying to calm him.

Hero : "Yeah. Your right. If we ever catch him, he is going to be in so much trouble. But don't worry. We'll catch him and you won't have to see him ever again."

Jin clenched his fist. He bent his knees to jump down, but Koto stopped him.

Koto : "NO! *hiccup, wah* I'll still see him! *hiccup, wah* I'll still remember him! *hiccup, wah* I won't ever forget him for what he did to me (for me) *hiccup, wah, hiccup, wah*"

Jin just stared at Koto, his emotions churning in his gut.

Hero : "Aw man...damn. Don't worry! We'll all do our best to help you!"

Koto : "*hiccup, wah* I know! *hiccup, wah* I know you will help me. You will care for me. *hiccup, wah* I know you will protect me. *hiccup, wah* Keep me safe. *hiccup, wah* And when I grow up - *hiccup, wah* - I want to be just like you! Someone cool who cares about their friends and will fight for them! *hiccup, wah, hiccup, wah*"

Jin was crying at this point. Tears accumulated at the corners of his eyes and slid down the sides of his face. His clones around him were slowly turning into mud. They were also crying.

Koto : "I know I probably won't get to see you again after this. *hiccup, wah* But I won't forget the kindness you showed me. *hiccup, wah*"

Hero : "No problem kid. It's just part of the job."

Koto : "I know it's going to be hard - *sniff* - and I know you care for me very much and that your going to miss me. But you have to be strong. You don't have to worry about me all the time. *sniff* Don't worry. We'll see each other again someday. So don't be sad. *sniff*"

Jin was quietly sobbing at this point. All his clones had turned into mud. The hero looked confused.

Hero : "Um, yeah? Sure, I guess."

Koto : "Don't worry. I'll be fine. *sniff*"

Hero : "Oh...good, then."

Jin got up, looked at Koto with sad eyes, waved goodbye, and disappeared from view. Koto started crying again. The hero that was watching over him rubbed the top of his head.

Hero : "Don't worry. You'll be fine."
