Chapter 30 - Noah's Embrace

A pair of large hands suddenly reached out and hugged Mia. Mia could smell the familiar scent on Noah’s body. It was Noah’s favorite Dior perfume. Mia felt at ease every time she smelled it, so she knew it was Noah the moment Mia was hugged. Hence, Mia did not struggle anymore. At this moment, Mia really needed a hug to comfort herself.

Noah stood outside for a long time. He saw Mia as soon as he arrived outside the ward. He didn’t want to go up and disturb Mia. Grandma pushed open the door and wanted to go to the doctor to ask about the situation. Just as she reached the corner of the corridor, she saw Mia and Noah standing there. From Mia’s red eyes, it was obvious that she had just cried.

Grandma knew exactly why Mia was crying, so she didn’t bring it up again. She just instructed Noah, “Why don’t you go see Grandpa? I have something to say to Mia.”

Noah nodded and turned to walk towards the ward.

Seeing Noah leave, Grandma pulled Mia’s hand and said, “You’ve worked hard for the past few days. Go back with Noah to rest and come back tomorrow.”

Just as Mia was about to shake her head, Grandma patted Mia’s hand again and said, “Child, Grandma knows how you feel. Living well with Noah is the greatest comfort for Grandpa and me.”

Mia knew the old woman’s intentions, but she could not tell them about her and Noah’s current situation, so she could only nod with her eyes still teary.

After visiting his grandfather, Noah asked the attending doctor. The doctor said that his grandfather’s condition was stable at the moment, so Noah was relieved.

When everything was done, the two of them took the car home together.

The two of them returned home in silence.

After returning home, Mia changed and went upstairs.

Just as he was feeling troubled, the doorbell at home rang.

Mia was upstairs, so Noah stood and went to open the door.

When he opened the door, he saw the smiling Jenny standing at the door. Noah, thinking that he was lucky it wasn’t Mia who came to open the door, felt a little flustered all of a sudden. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to explain himself.
