10. I noticed two years later.

While I may have acknowledged the shocking love circumstance in this parallel world, nothing changed within me.

Just that, the jokes that everyone in the garden are saying may just be jokes to me, but I now realized that they were somewhat serious about it.

Thus, two years passed in the blink of an eye since I came to this world. It was then I noticed.

Until now, I have never gone anywhere except the royal palace.

I never minded it so far since I was busy learning the language and letters of this world, but now I cannot control my curiousity once I came to this realization.

The night of that day, I decided to talk to Alex immediately once he came home.

“Alex, I want to go to the town.”

“Oh, finally? Then you better use this.”

He said that and handed me a pouch containing this country’s currency.

“That’s your salary, Haruto. You never said anything so far so I decided to keep it for the time being. Since you have that, wouldn’t it be a good idea to attend the town’s festival this time?” Alex suggested.

I’m relieved to receive a proper salary and also very happy to have Alex’s kindness.

But there is still a problem.

“But is it okay for me to go out with these hair and eyes?”

When I expressed my anxiety, Alex answered, “I prepared this in case something like this might happen.”

He took out a small bottle with black powder with a self-satisfied look.

“Ocassionally, magic isn’t effective in humans. But I observed that Haruto has a constitution that makes it extremely difficult for you to be affected by magic. Therefore, the previous magic did not fail, just that there was too little change to be noticed.”

“I did not fail!” Alex emphasized while laughing.

“That’s why I took it into consideration. It may be hard to make the magic hold if applied externally. So manufactured this magic potion. This was made so that magic will be applied from the inside. You should drink this during the festival,” he explained, handing over the small bottle to me.

I can do nothing but express my gratitude, truly glad from the bottom of my heart that this person was the one who picked me up.

“Thank you. I’ll be sure to buy you a souvenir.”

When I declared that, Alex only replied, “Don’t worry about it,” as he left the room.

How about I invite Urie to the festival tomorrow?

I went to bed while thinking of that, but it seems like sleep will come difficult tonight due to my excitement.
