chapter 12(broken)

Yibo and Zhan slowly started getting estranged.

Zhan would only call him once a week or not call at all, Yibo soon started getting used to all this, although he was still hurt, he decided to give Zhan space, he was planning to visit him on his birthday anyway.

Months passed and Yibo turned 18, he was so happy that he could already visit his Zhange.

He was planning to visit Zhan together with lily on Zhan's birthday to surprise him.

Lily had volunteered herself since she already knew where Zhan lived but Yibo didn't.

"Take care son, call me as soon as you land"

Yibo was now in the airport with lily and their parents, Yibo  hugged his mom then Zhan's parents and left with Lily.

"Will he get angry?" He asked lily shrieking.

" don't worry about it sweetie , even if he chases us away, you can still marry me, you know I love you" Lily then grabbed his face making attempts to kiss him.

"Stop joking Lily, you know I'm serious here"

"Okay, don't worry, we talk oftenly and I know he's not changed much, he'll not be angry "

"You talk oftenly? But he never calls me" Yibo whispered the other part, he doesn't want lily to find out.

It is true that Zhan calls lily a bit too much, but he only does it to check on Yibo.

They land safely and Yibo calls his mom to inform her then they take a taxi to Zhan's apartment.

"2000",the driver tells them as soon as he drops them.

They pay the amount and get out of the car, taking their bags with them.

They greet the receptionist and take the lift to Zhan's room.

Lily knows the room well since she've visited her brother once since he came here.

Yibo is so excited, his heart is beating too loudly because of his nervousness, he was going to meet his Zhange after a year.

"I hope yours still beat for me as well" he whispers to no one in particular.

They soon come out of the elevator and head towards the room, when they get outside the door, lily presses the doorbell.

They tidy themselves a little as they wait for the door to be answered.

The door opens and Yibo almost jumps on Zhan but.....it was not Zhan that opened the door.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" A beautiful female asks as she opens the door.

The smile on both yibos and lily's faces disappears and they both form a visible frown.

"Excuse me, does Xiao zhan live here?" Lily asks on behalf of her brother in law.

"Oh....yes, we live here, I am Xin Xing, his fiancee, and you are? She both introduce herself and inquire their names.

Yibo is now awed, on the verge of tears, as they speak, the door opens wider and Yibo looks inside, there is Zhan on the sofa holding a small baby in his arms while feeding her and playing with her.

"Who is at the door love? Why are you taking so long?" He asks.

Yibo hears this and he can't believe his ears, Zhan just called another woman love right in front of him.

Zhan was holding a baby, is that their baby?Yibo wonders.

Yibo takes another look at Zhan and he can't take it anymore, he just looks so happy and unbothered, while he, he always thinks about their future something which gives him sleepless nights, sometimes he doesn't eat or sleep well thinking about Zhan.

"Love, who's at the door?" Zhan repeats.

Yibos tears finally fall and he runs from there and as if on queue, Zhan looks up but no one is outside the door anymore.

"Who was there, he asks Qing as she comes back"

"Oh, just a neighbor, she had a few things to discuss with me" she lies since she doesn't know what else to tell Zhan, the people just ran away without saying anything.

Lily wails a taxi and directs it to her former house, she still pays for it's upkeep for when she visits.

Yibo cries all the way to the house, he cried as soon as they get to the house,he's broken, Lily even had to drag him to the house forcefully  as he cried out loud.

Lily cooked yibos favorite but he refused to eat, it couldn't go down his throat.

"That's why he didn't call me? He never called me"

Yibo cried.

"Lily, your brother, he's bad, really bad, he promised a lot of things, I thought he would only call me his love but ....no, he called another, he doesn't love me anymore, he hates me because of the video " Yibo said and cried harder.

Lily hugged Yibo feeling his pain, how did his brother manage to hurt this boy so much, the boy he loves more than his life.

"Wait, what video are you talking about?" Lily asked

"I.....I watched two boys having sex, and he scolded me for that"

"Oh my baby, nobody can hate you for that,I also watch those sometimes, he hasn't hated me for that now has he?"

Lily tried as much as possible to calm Yibo down to no avail, Yibo hugged the pillow tightly and cried himself to sleep.

That night he dreamt of Zhan's wedding with that girl while the little girl whom she assumed was their daughter led them pouring roses on the ground.

"You're happy without me Zhange, I wish I never loved you, I wish I never knew you" Yibo said in his sleep and a lone tear fell from his eye.

All this did not go unnoticed by his sister who recorded it on her phone and sent it to her parents.

That night, she tried calling Zhan to demand an explanation but he wasn't reachable." Maybe they're singing lullaby's for their little daughter" she said and went to her room.

Yibo who had just woken up heard this and his heart almost stopped then he exploded with another painful wail which continued until dawn on the next day.

"Let's go back to Zhan's apartment, maybe he can explain?" Lily asked Yibo in the morning.

"No, let's just go back home, Im already broken, I don't want to add a little more cracks"  Yibo said as he sat down.

Lily booked a flight and they went back to China in the evening.

Yibo knew one thing as he left, he knew that he had left his heart there, he had left his heart in London right outside Zhan's door where he broke it.
