~ we'd always go into it blindly

Xavier's pov

Been close to Dali is the only thing that's keeping me grounded right now. My head is filled with so many scenarios. There's only 15 minutes left for the final match. I want to end Lorenzo's reign. This will be his last match.

"Baby", the angelic voice brought me out of my thinking. Man I love it when she calls me baby.

I looked up from her chest and pecked her lips.

"Yes angel", I hummed.

"You need to get up, it's time to", she tried getting up but I quickly held her back.

"Please stay, there's few more minutes. I just want to be in your arms right now", I gave her my best puppy eyes.

"Xaviiiiii..... you have a match. Aren't you suppose to be scary and fierceful right now but here you are wanting to be babied", she said while palming my cheek.

"I know baby girl but if I go all worked up it's gonna be hard for me to kill that asshole", I clenched my teeth.

"Hey, okay just for few minutes", she finally gave in to me.

After few more minutes been snuggled upto Dali, I started getting ready for my last match but not before reassuring baby and getting some kisses from her.

When I walked to the exit I heard the announcement; Lorenzo is been called back to the ring.

After my name was called I started to enter the stadium. I made brief eye contact with Dali just to see how she's doing and I don't want Lorenzo to know anything about my life, especially the only good thing in my life.

"Okay!!!!! As you all know this is the last round and it doesn't matter who won the last two rounds but whoever wins this round will be named as the winner of the 2019 Kick boxing Championship. Are you ready!!!!!!!!!!", the announcer said.

As soon as he said that the crowd went wild and started cheering loudly.

"3.....2.....1....Go!", was all he had to say for the both of us to pounce at each other.

The first blow he sent to my stomach was unexpected and it kinda hurts. I quickly regained my posture not to show him any sign of weakness.

I circled around him and purposely eyedhis left leg to confuse him. Been the idiot he is thought i was gonna punch there and didn't expect for my blow on to his tip right shoulder. Fucking idiot , I smirked and went back into my defence mode.

I was dodging his punches well but at some point he was still able to kick me here and there. What I didn't expect for him is his next punch when he did a right upper cut and a held my body down; making me hard to breath and weak. I felt exhausted to fight back, but in that moment I could here the distance voice of baby girl to get up and fight back. It was like I got my memory back I remembered the promise I made to her and how she kept on saying to fight back.

My girl's words were all I needed to get up and fight back to show this asshole his place. After jabbing his side with my elbow to loosen his arms I quickly came back into position.

Lorenzo came at me to punch my stomach again but u quickly dodged and turn to him coming at a speed and jumping in the air kicking him with my left foot right to his hip bone making putting him down.

As soon as he was down the whole audience cheered loudly that probably the outside people could here it too.

Daliah's pov

As soon as I saw Xavi putting Lorenzo down I jumped out of my seat and hugged Lindsay crying out of happiness but we still have to wait till Michael comes for the last count to see if Lorenzo wakes up to actually announce Xavi as the winner.

"Well well it looks like we have a winner for our 2019 Kick Boxing Championship. Before that lets all do the count down!", Michael announced.

He then went near Lorenzo and bent down counting.

"3,2,1, and we have a winner people for 2019 Kick Boxing Championship!!!!!!! Let's give it up for Xavier Knight!!!!!!", he cheered and lifted Xavi's hand up to show him as the winner.

As soon as Xavi was named as the winner a happy tear trail down my cheek. I am so proud of the man who's infornt of me.

He has always been passionate about Kick Boxing and now he won the biggest achievement of his life. What more can a girl ask from her man. He truly is my happiness, pride and most importantly my life line.

As soon as Xavi's trophy was honoured he ran out of the ring. I quickly started running towards him too when I saw he was coming towards me. We hugged each other tightly and it felt like we were in our own world for few minutes.

"I..I did it angel", Xavi said still keeping me in his arms.

"Yes my love, you did it and I'm so proud of you", I kissed his cheek.

.......Back home at Xavier's place........

After meeting the rest of the others; Xavi and I came back to his place. Since he needs to rest well.

Right now,he's taking a wash and I'm currently preparing pasta for him. After placing some pasta to a plate I took it up to his room with a glass of water.

As soon as I entered the room I couldn't help but awe at the sight in front of me. Xavi was dozed off hugging my pillow with his hair all messed up.

I chuckled lightly and walked towards him, silently put the plate and the water on the bed side table to wake him up. I do badly want to leave him like that but he needs to eat.

"Baby....baby", I slightly nudged his shoulder and pecked him there.

His grunt was the only response I got in return.

"Love you need to wake up and eat. I know you are tired but you also have to eat something", I ran my hand through his mop of hair as usual.

"Feed me angel", he mumbled sleepingly into the pillow.

"Okay, but you need to get up first okay and then you can go back to sleep", I said taking the plate of pasta on to my hand.

After feeding Xavi I have him some water and tried to get up to go back to the kitchen to wash the plate but only to be stopped by his whinning more like a growl.

"Please stay angel, I want to cuddle with you and sleep. Then only I can get a peaceful sleep", he looked up at me.

I smiled and nodded. Kept the plate and the glass back and got under the covers to settle myself properly.

As soon as I lied down he quickly cuddle up to me.

I heard him mumble something into my chest after settling down.

"What did you say baby? It wasn't clear", I asked.

"This is home, me laying in your arms all cuddled up and getting kisses from you or you in my arms and I playing with your hair and giving you kisses. You are my home angel. I love so much", with that he kissed me and smiled looking up at me.

I was lost for words after his confession. He always does this to me, says the sweetest things ever and leave me speechless. I smiled looking down at him and tighten my arms around him.

"You are my safe haven love. Having you in my arms or me in your arms. Listening to your voice is my home and my world. I love you more than words could explain mi Vida", I confessed and kissed his lips,cheeks and at last his forehead.

He looked up at me once and went back to snuggling into my breasts. I chuckled looking down at his position for sure he looks comfortable. My love. Slowly I started to drift into a good sleep.
