"This is not what I expected at all.

Where is the flow in this presentation? Everything abruptly starts and ends! This was one of the most important deals for the company. Fucking hell have I hired immature imbeciles to work!

Get out!"

He smashed his fist on to the table not realising he smacked his fist onto the glass in the thick of anger.

His office door banged open and the only person he would ever listen to, came in with an angry glare on her face.

"Sit right now and no talking"

"Baby! What are you doing here?"

The once angry young man turned into a complete gentleman as soon as he heard the voice of his love.

"What am I doing here? I came as soon as I got a call telling me that boss is angry; that is all I had to hear and I was scared thinking you were having an episode after 5 years for the first time"

He quietly sat on the floor in front of her and hugged her legs.

"Are you not going to ask what happened?"

He spoke watching her clean his bloody knuckles.

" I am not going to pester you and I know that you will tell me eventually"

Daliah sighed softly after seeing his bandaged hand and placed a soft kiss on it.

Xavier laid his head down on her lap staying in the same position and released an exhausted breath when she started to run her fingers on his hair.

"The presentation was a piece of shit. I couldn't go through it since I was handling Mr.de Silva's deal. They fucked up so Mr.Fernando turned down the deal. It was one of the important deals. Fuck! I should've checked that too"

Xavier stood up and lie on the couch, placing his head on Daliah's lap.

"Xavier, there will be times you will have the best presentations but still won't get the deal whilst there will be times you will get the deal. That is how it goes and you should be able to face both wins and losses. The company just started getting its recognition and always remember those who are working for you aren't robots but humans too okay, they are new to this just as you are"

Daliah kissed his nose and they both spent some quality time together.

Employee's POV

Thank god Ms.Scilly called ma'am or else it will be the death of us. No more mistakes here onwards guys, if you don't want to face the same fate as the last employee never ever make such mistakes because we all know about boss and the consequences. Well, goodness gracious Daliah ma'am exists or else it'll be hell on earth for us all.

Daliah's POV

"Order number 15 ready to be served"

I grabbed the plate and came out of the kitchen to serve the young girl who ordered it.

"Here you go darling, please enjoy and do let me know if you need anything else"

I smiled at the young girl and head towards the kitchen to resume my baking.

"Daliah how's the new recipe coming out"

Jenna peeped into the batter swirling her finger to taste it.

"Jen I hope it tastes good, I really wanted to add this cupcake to the menu"

I told her, while pouring the batter into the cupcake moulds.

After placing them inside the oven I started cleaning the utensils while Jenna went to clean the tables as we are about to close for the day.

As I placed the last cleaned trays on the rack, the oven rang. I quickly put on a pair of mittens and opened the oven.

Freshly baked smell of blueberry hits my nose making me have high hopes on these cupcakes.

I grabbed one and had a bite, instantly the taste of blueberry and a hint of lemon burst in my mouth. I smiled out of pure joy.

"Enjoying without me, my love"

The deep voice of Xavier startled me, making me scream and almost choke.

"Baby you came!"

I hugged him tightly and kissed his lips.

"Here try this, I tried a new recipe and it came out so good right?"

"Hm... it is good but I think it'll taste better this way" and he placed his lips on mine kissing me ever so gently and softly.

Both of us parted since we were out of breath and hugged each other.

Xavier sat on the stool and then only I took a good glimpse at him. The white shirt I picked in the morning is a little wrinkled and the sleeves folded, making him look extra yummy.

"My love, I would not hesitate to take you right here. So, I suggest you don't look at me like that"

He grabbed me from the waist and pulled me in between his spread-out legs.

"I feel so content when I see you being excited and passionate about what you love doing. You're an inspiration Baby."

My cheeks warmed up at his words and I cuddle in his arms.

"The bakery has always been my dream and with your constant support throughout everything I am able to live my dream. "Sugar and Sprinkles" is 2 years now and thriving, so thank you for always being my rock Xavier Knight".

I ran my fingers through his hair whilst confessing.

"Are you closing the shop now, my love?"

I moved back from my position when Xavier stood up and start packing the sample cupcakes to take home. I took two cupcakes and gave to Jenna and Hailey to taste and give feedback about it before we make it official.

"Come down my love"

I glanced at the text message that popped up on my screen. I placed the book I was reading on the side table and went out of our room.

As I was climbing down the stairs, the dim lights, rose petals path way caught my eye. I followed the trail of rose petals which led me to our backyard that had a dinner table and the background decorated in the most romantic enchanting way.

"Xavy", I spoke out loud when I saw him a little far from the table near a decorated area that had roses plunged to the ground with lights among them. I walked to him and stood a feet away from him. I was speechless after seeing all the mesmerizing decorations.

"My angel", Xavier walked closer to me that our foreheads were touching.

"I have always been introverted, who doesn't speak unless needed and the only person I don't feel that way and speaks freely is you, you are both my strength and weakness. With your hand holding mine I can conquer this whole world easily...

I will lay the whole world beneath your feet if that's what you want. I will destroy anyone who brings tears to your eyes. You always come first before anyone. I am nothing without you and holds my heart in my hands for you. It had been yours for the longest time and will continue to be yours. I think this is the most I've spoken in my life but I wanted you to know what I feel for you before I ask something from you".

He completely shut me up with the confession.

The only reaction was the love pouring out of my eyes and my hands squeezing his, the whole time. Xavi, slowly got down on one knee and asked the question.

"Will you be the peace to my chaos, my heaven to this hell and my home to run to?"

I was shocked and was mute for a good few minutes. My name being called out brought me out of my thoughts.

"Yes, yes!!!!! Oh, my goodness!!!"

Xavier stood up and kissed me tightly leaving me a breathless mess.
