Mami Impressed by Payal

NEXT DAY - EVENING

Akash's family has arrived. Mami is very impressed by the way Khushi is looking after Anjali and managing other things. Arnav comes from office sits for tea. Khushi starts speaking as per the plan

Khushi – Arnav ji, my friend is here in Delhi for some work. She doesn't have place to stay can you help her?

Arnav – Do I own a lodging service

Anjali – Chote..

Arnav – Di please. We have Mama mami and Akash here. We want to spend some quality time with family, and she wants to bring some stupid friend of hers.

Akash – Bhai...

Arnav – Akash, I think Khushi asked me and I need to answer. I don't want intrusion.

Khushi – Please Arnav ji, I will share my food and bed with her. Kindly help (She makes puppy face.

Arnav – You remember the agreement, right? I can throw you out of house then how will you share you bed and food. (Khushi cries silently. Mami interrupts)

Mami – Hey Arnav, she is looking after Anjali so well. If you doubt her friend do some detective work. Like you always do. Why are you getting rude? (This is what Arnav wanted)

Arnav – Will you be ok Mami? Her friend also will be like her, not from some high class society. You may feel uncomfortable.

Mami – If her friend is like her, I won't have any issues. Behaviour is more important than class (She smiles)

Arnav – Ok mami as you say. (Looks at Khushi) Get the details of your friend to study room. We will discuss this in detail. (Khushi just nods and he walks away)

Nani – Arnav will never change. You don't get sad Khushi. We all are with you (Khushi smiles)

STUDY ROOM

Khushi comes. Arnav locks the door.

Arnav – Good acting Khushi (Khushi smiles, he senses she has some issue) You don't worry Payal has clean background I have ensured. You don't have feel guilty. Akash will be happy with her.

Khushi – I can't sleep with her.

Arnav – Why? We must show strong bond. (Khushi fidgets with dupatta) what's the issue Khushi?

Khushi – I get nightmares, I keep mumbling, and I don't want a new person to know my personal problems.

Arnav – Ok I will speak to Akash about it.

Khushi – Are you out of mind? Will you make her sleep her with Akash before marriage?

Arnav – Hello...excuse me...I am not thinking that. Our rooms are attached so you can use my room

Khushi – See...you want me to sleep with you. Just because I agreed to help, that doesn't meant I am ready to sleep with you. I will inform my husband. (She tries to threaten him also starts panicking. He comes to her close her mouth)

Arnav – Stop, don't run your horses in all wrong direction. I will sleep here in study without anyone's knowledge. This is what I will ask Akash to convey Payal. We won't speak about your nightmare. We will just tell you are not comfortable. Did you understand? (She nods..he leaves her mouth)

Khushi – How will I sleep on your bed, I am just employee.

Arnav – Then sleep on floor (She nods but he continues) you are helping my brother. I need the ensure you are comfortable. Sleep I don't mind...I don't wet the bed in night, so you don't have think this much. (She nods happily) so all sorted. Now please make this mission a success and get me relived from Akash's torture. (Khushi nods)

AFTER 2 DAYS

It was the day when Payal was supposed to enter Shantivan as Khushi's friend. She had spent lot of time understanding Payal over the call which would help is showing the friendship. Arnav did not what Khushi to be at home when Payal comes. As per the plan Khushi went out. Payal comes home, Mami is in living room.

Payal – Khushi, Khushi... she searches. (Mami comes to door)

Mami – You must be Payal (Payal nods) Khushi has gone out you come, sit (Mami welcomes Payal with warm smile.

Payal – Thanks Aunty

Mami - So, Payal, tell me about yourself. Where are you from? (She shouts for servant) Hari Prakash bring some juice to drink. (Anjali and Nani also join them in living room)

Payal - I'm from Lucknow, Aunty. I've done my MBA from Bangalore.

Mami - That's impressive! What does your family do?

Payal - My father is a teacher, and my mother is a homemaker.

Nani – Hi Payal. I am Devayani and she is Anjali. (Payal smiles and does a namaste) what brings you to Delhi?

Payal - I'm here in search of Job. Have some interviews scheduled. I'll be staying here for one week.

Anjali - I hope you'll feel at home here. Khushi is like a family to us.

Payal - Thank you, Anjali ji. You're very kind.

They sit and chit chat understanding each other for some time and Khushi comes home

Anjali - See Khushi came....

Khushi – Hey Payal....(They both hug. Looks at Mami) did she trouble you Mami Ji?

Mami – No, we had a nice chit chat time.

Khushi – Didn't I tell you to call before coming? Arnav ji doesn't like such things. Come (She tries to drag)

Mami – I will talk to Arnav, why should she hide and sit? Its matter of one week. Relax. (Khushi is surprised. Arnav judged things so well to this extent. She was also impressed.)

Khushi - (smiling) Okay, Mami Ji. As you say.

Mami - (smiling) Good. Now, Payal, you must be tired. Why don't you freshen up.

Payal - (nodding) Yes, Aunty. Thank you.

Khushi - (escorting Payal) Come, I'll show you to your room. (As they walk away, Mami turns to Anjali and Nani.)

Mami - (whispering) I like her. She's very sweet and well-mannered.

Anjali - (smiling) Yes, Mami. Khushi has good taste in friends. (Meanwhile, Khushi and Payal are walking upstairs.)

Khushi - (whispering) So, how was it? Did Mami ask you too many questions?

Payal - (laughing) No, it was fine. Aunty is very nice.

Khushi - (smiling) Good. I'm glad it went well. They reach guest room, and Khushi helps her settle in.

NEXT MORNING – ARNAV's ROOM

Khushi did not use the bed. She was not feeling right. She slept on recliner. Arnav needed an important file. Since it was morning he walks to his room to take file and find a spare pillow and blanket on recliner. Khushi was in bathroom, she comes out, seeing him

Khushi – Sorry, I will clean this up (She starts folding the blanket)

Arnav – You slept on recliner? (She just nods. She was turning her back and folding. He come close and makes her turn to him holding the elbow) Are you out of mind?

Khushi – Arnav ji, I am a temporary person in the house. This is your permanent room. You may be generous to share. But I can't act senseless.

Arnav – You are still not making any sense. It's just a bed Khushi.

Khushi – It's your bed, only you and you wife will have full rights not a third person like me.

Making him speechless. She releases her hand from his hold takes the folded blanket and pillow and goes to guest room from poolside as per their discussion. He was stunned with her thinking. He was confused about her motive day by day. He thinks

Arnav - She has not responded to the message. What is running in her mind? She is so secretive. Let this Akash think get over then will do something about it. She is harmless that is confirmed by Vinod, what is the mystery? who is her husband?

The family gathers for breakfast, and Payal joins them. Akash can't take his eyes off her, and Mami notices the chemistry between them.

Mami - (smiling) Payal, beta, how do you like your stay here so far?

Payal - (smiling) It's lovely, Mami ji. Everyone is so warm and welcoming.

Akash - (jumping in) Yeah, we're a pretty great family. (Payal giggles)

Mami - (watching them) I think Payal is getting along just fine, don't you, Anjali?

Anjali - (smiling) Yes, Mami. She's fitting in perfectly.

As they continue breakfast, Akash and Payal exchange sweet glances, and Mami notices the love and adoration in their eyes.

Mami - (smiling) Akash, beta, why don't you show Payal around the city today? Take her to some nice places. Any way she is free today no interviews.

Akash - (excitedly) Yeah, that's a great idea, Ma!

Payal - (smiling) I'd love that, thank you, Aunty.

As they finish breakfast, Akash and Payal make plans for their day out. Mami watches them with a warm heart, happy to see her son showing interest in a girl.Akash takes Payal to various places around the city, showing her the sights and sounds of Delhi. They laugh, joke, and enjoy each other's company.

As the day comes to a close, Akash takes Payal to a beautiful park. They sit together on a bench, watching the sunset.

Akash - (taking Payal's hand) I'm so glad Ma is starting to like you.

Payal - (smiling) Me too, Akash. I really like your family.

Akash - (looking into her eyes) Bhai's ideas never fail.

Mami is happy to see Akash showing interest in Payal and is impressed by Payal's soft-spoken behavior. The 1-week stay at the Raizada household helps Payal win over everyone's hearts, especially Mami's. Arnav's plan to get Payal accepted by the family seems to be working.
