Couple Games

Arnav – You are getting quite gutsy nowadays.... you used to shiver to come in front of me and today you pluck the kerchief from my sherwani??? And (looks at her hand still over his pocket...she takes the hand back swiftly)

Khushi – Sorry ....but...please don't get angry now.....after function you can lash out on me how much ever you want....(Arnav was finding her reactions funny) ok??... ok?? (Smiles uncomfortably. Waiting for him to answer)

Arnav – Ok fine.... Let's keep this conversation post the function... (He walks off and she sighs...)

The ring ceremony is over, and everyone are talking to friends' family bidding bye.... Khushi is helping Anjali all around.... She makes Anjali sit to rest and go to bring food...Shyam notices her alone and comes behind....

Shyam – I told you wear the saree I gifted.

Khushi – Even I told you I am not going to take any gifts from you. If you don't stop doing this, I am going tell everyone about your behaviour....

Shyam – Threatening me? You dint do good by not wearing the saree I gave... (he fumes and go away...)

There is game planned for family's member before Payal's family leaves back. It was couple game.Akash/Payal, Madhumathi/Shankar (Payal's parents), Mama/Mami, Shyam/Anjali are made as pairs. NK and Nani are judges... only Arnav and Khushi are left...

Nani – Chote, Khushi ...you both play together....

Arnav/Khushi – No ... (Both shout together)

Anjali – What No...be sportive......this doesn't have any romantic task so you both can easily play...

NK – ya Nannav ...your type of game ... (winks at Arnav who gets angry) Fine...you come and become judge I will play with Khushi Ji....

Shyam – Leave it.... we are 4 couples right we will play ...why to force when they dont want to play... (Arnav gets alert now)

Arnav – I am ok if Khushi wants to... (Looks at her)

Khushi - Ji ok....

Everyone – yay....

NK – So couples we will have 4 rounds, and each round will have elimination. The Final winner will get Nani's antique jewellery set. (Everyone claps)

Mami – I will win this sasu ma.... (Nani just nods at Mami's over confidence)

Nani – May the best couple win. Lets begin with rules. Each round will have some generic tasks done at home with 2 hands but in this game each hand will be from different person. You guys can decide among yourself which hand you will playing with and then we can start...

Arnav (whispers) – I don't know any household work Khushi....

Khushi – Its fine Arnav Ji you choose your left hand and support me...we will try.... (She was excited....he wanted to quit but seeing her happy he let that thought go)

NK – Ok I see that you all are ready...The first round is making Ladoo's....(HP brings and keeps the ingredients to each couple) we need 5 perfect shaped Ladoo's and the couple who finishes last will be eliminated.....come one every one....

Khushi – Arnav Ji...take little of the boondi and keep in middle of palm I will take care of the rest....(He does that and Khushi starts shaping ladoos like a pro....Arnav is amazed.... everyone is struggling to do one and Khushi finishes all 5) done Nani Ji.... (Nani comes and checks)

Nani – Wow.... Nice beta....With Arnav in your team you did this good ladoos?(she pats her cheeks...) my good kid. Now come on everyone only 3 couples to qualify...hurry up...(she walks to watch other couples)

Arnav – How the hell did you do that...??

Khushi – I did this all my childhood....(looking at confused Arnav)... My father owned a sweet shop...(She holds back her tears....he just nods)

Madhumathi - Done... (Nani passes her ladoos too)

Anjali – Done

Nani – Good Damad Ji....great job Anjali ....

Mami – done (Nani comes and see the disaster)

Nani – These are not called ladoos Manorama....

Mami – Sasuma...please adjust a little...I will do well in next round...

Payal – Done (Nani comes and check)

Nani – Fine.....sorry Manorama....you are out of the race...

Mami – Hello hai...bye bye...

NK – The second round is wearing Tie....

Khushi – Arnav Ji....I don't know this ....I feel we will be out this round...

Arnav – Just follow my instruction.....you will be fine.... (HP comes and distributes the ties...Shyam is fuming see Arnav and Khushi together)

Nani – Ok your time begins now.....(Everyone starts ...Khushi is struggling...)

Shyam – Done.... (He is has a winning smile looking at Khushi unable to perform this task....NK comes and reviews the tie and pats Shyam's shoulder)

Akash – Done (NK check and hugs him.... )

Nani - Only 1 pair to be qualified. (Khushi's face turns sad....)

Arnav – Concentrate.... it's easy ....(He take the control from left hand and with certain help from Khushi he finishes....) Done... (NK comes near...check and kisses him) yeeks NK.... you stay away....

NK – Nannav that was the super job from your left hand....Sorry Madhu Aunty.... (Payal's parents smile) So here we have all our young couples for next round.

Nani – So let's make them light some lamp....(HP bring cotton, oil and 5 lamps for each couple)...The task is simple...make the Baati (cotton roll) for the lamp and light it... All 5 lamps must be lighted when we check.... Ready all?

3 couples – Ready.....

Arnav – Your face itself is lit like a lamp...so you will manage this right? I can't pull off any stunt in this matter

Khushi – I know you are taunting for the mess up regarding tie.... you chill...I got this

NK – Ok start everyone (Khushi makes 5 portions of cotton with help of Arnav. Shyam is concentrating on them instead of this game)

Anjali – Shyam Ji.... keep your hand steady.... roll won't happen otherwise...

He looks back at Anjali and works with her...Arnav leaves the palm loose...teasing Khushi...

Khushi – Arnav Ji....(makes a puppy face ... he smiles and keeps a steady palm for her to role. She finishes this at high speed and lights all lamps) Done....

Anjali – Done....

Akash – Diiiii

Anjali – Sorry Akash ... (Payal makes a puppy face)

Nani – So Chote and Anjali in the face off. Should give something special for this final round.

NK – Nannav...you never wanted to participate and look at you.... (Arnav gives a stare)...I mean well played...

Khushi – Arnav Ji...let Anjali Ji win...(She whispers)

Arnav – Why?? It's a competition... we should give our best (looking at her confused) If Di plays well I don't mind but I am not going lose on purpose...

Nani – So final round is to fix the nails to the wooden piece. (Anjali and Arnav are excited.) be careful to not to hit the fingers...we are not responsible for any injuries (She laughs)

HP give the wood pieces, nails and hammer.

NK – Nannav....be careful.... don't show the anger on hammer

Arnav – She is using the right-hand you duffer.... (NK runs from there)

Nani – Ok begin now.

Anjali is hitting and Shyam holding nails. Khushi hitting Arnav holding, Khushi is shivering with the hammer in hand makes 2 -3 small hits which were of no use.

Khushi – Arnav Ji I cant.

NK – Good going Di... 2 done....Khushi Ji come on...

Arnav – Khushi is this some stunt to make Di win?

Khushi – No...I am scared that I will hit on your fingers....

Arnav – Ok...give the hammer (she passes) hold the nail from your right hand I will hit don't shiver. Got it?(She nods a yes and he makes her hold the nail)

Nani – Chote has taken the hammer that too in left hand and Khushi is holding the nail

NK – Nannav No.... this is not some Olympic race....stop it

Arnav – Shut up.... (he sees her fingers shivering) ...look at me Khushi ...(she slowly looks at him)..just concentrate on my eyes...when I say done just pick up the next nail and hold on the wood piece...(She nods and stops shivering...he just moves his eye ball for his view and hits that) done

Nani – Anjali 3 Chotte 1 (Arnav swiftly does 3 more. Khushi is lost in his face)

NK – Di 4 and Nannav 4....Nannav....

Nani – There goes Chotte 5th Nail.... (Khushi is still looking at him...He jerks her)

Arnav – Khushi ... (She comes off the trans.)

Khushi – Sorry I couldn't do...

Arnav – Its done.... (He chuckles and shows the wooden piece)

Khushi – What.... (closes her mouth in surprise with her palm)

Arnav – We won.... (he pulls her cheeks and smiles)

Anjali – Chote.... Left hand han....?

Arnav – Di... you can't win against me.... from childhood you have been losing...so stop competing with me now on... (winks at Anjali and smiles)

Shyam – Saale saab.... you had a 3rd party so you easily took risk...if you had your own wife instead of Khushi...I am sure Rani Saheba would have won...

Nani – Ok ok...let's take this sportively....Chote, Khushi....you both really played Well

Khushi – Thanks Nani..

Everyone congratulates the couple. Khushi is all excited she was genuinely happy after she came in the house. Arnav gets a call and goes aside...Guests and Payal's family bid adieu.... Arnav comes back...he was remembering the games he played with Khushi and happy smiling to himself. Shyam observes

Shyam – What special Arnav.... you look so happy...

Arnav – Some nice news from office Jijaji.... any problem...?? (He tries to reason)

Shyam – Not really but never saw you smile very often like this after your marriage incident.... (He tries to touch the weakest point)

Arnav – Its been one and half year Jijaji...I need to move on... (Shyam fumes that his trick did not work)
