Chapter 28

Husband and Wife discuss

UNKNOWN WIFE

As the video ended, Khushi felt like her world had been turned upside down. She backed away from Arnav, her hands raised as if to ward off the fate that awaited them.

Khushi - No, no, no... We can't do this. We can't be King and Queen. They'll kill us, just like they killed our parents. (Arnav took a step closer to Khushi, his voice calm and soothing)

Arnav - Khushi, please listen to me. We will have security, protection. We'll be safe.

But Khushi was beyond reason. She was consumed by fear, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Her eyes were wide with terror, her face pale and clammy.Khushi's voice rose to a scream.

Khushi - No! I won't do it! I won't be queen! I just want to live a normal life, without fear of being killed! (She looked at Arnav, her eyes pleading) My parents were shot, Arnav ji... they lay in a pool of blood... (her voice cracked, the memory of her parents' death still raw and painful)

Khushi's words trailed off as she collapsed to the floor, her body wracked with sobs. Arnav rushed to her side, gathering her in his arms as he tried to comfort her.

Arnav - Shh...I'm here. I'm so sorry, Khushi. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I should have come to you. Checked on you.

As Khushi's sobs intensified, Arnav held her closer, his own eyes welling up with tears. He knew that Khushi's wounds ran deep, and that it would take time for her to heal. But he was willing to wait, to be patient and understanding. He would do whatever it took to help Khushi overcome her trauma, to help her find peace and happiness once again.

Arnav - We'll heal together, Khushi. We'll face the future together.

As Arnav held Khushi close, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of his stomach. He had given Khushi hope, but he was scared too - scared of the unknown, scared of the dangers that lurked in the shadows.

Khushi looked up at Arnav, her eyes searching for reassurance. She saw the fear and uncertainty etched on his face, and her heart went out to him. She knew that he was scared too, scared of the unknown dangers that threatened their lives.

Her hand instinctively reached out to Arnav's face, her fingers tracing the lines of worry and fear. Arnav's eyes met hers, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, the only sound being the quiet beating of their hearts.

Khushi - Promise me that you won't hide anything from me now on. (Arnav's eyes locked onto Khushi's, his gaze intense and sincere.)

Arnav - I promise, Khushi. No more secrets, no more lies. From now on, we face everything together, as husband and wife. (He took her hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers) I promise to always be honest with you, to always protect you, and to love you with all my heart.

Khushi's eyes searched Arnav's face, looking for any sign of deception. But all she saw was sincerity, love, and a deep commitment to their relationship. Still she wanted to take time.

Khushi - I want to trust you, Arnav Ji. I want to believe in you. But it's going to take time.

Arnav nodded, his eyes never leaving Khushi's face.

Arnav - I understand, Khushi. I'll give you all the time you need. I'll earn back your trust, your love, and your respect.

Khushi - What have you decided? When are we going back home? Why did you plan this stunt? You could have revealed all this at home itself.

Arnav's expression turned serious, his eyes clouding over with concern.

Arnav – We can't go back to India right now, Khushi. It's not safe. We must stay here, in London, for two weeks. I am making some arrangements.

Khushi's face set in a determined expression, her eyes flashing with a mix of fear and resolve.

Khushi – Two weeks? What arrangements? What's going to happen after two weeks?

Arnav's eyes met Khushi's, his gaze steady and reassuring.

Arnav – After two weeks, we'll return to India and face whatever dangers lie ahead. But for now, we need to stay here and prepare ourselves for what's to come.

In that moment, Khushi knew that she had a choice to make. She could let fear consume her, or she could face it head-on with Arnav by her side. She took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. But she wanted to divert the topic.

Khushi - How did you get me here so easily, that too when I was unconsious.

Arnav - Hmmmm, finally you asked. I thought you would never question (He smiles). I used my private jet. Since I have our official marriage certificate it was easy to manage the formalities.

Khushi - What? You are not as good as you look to be.

Arnav - As I said. I had no choice. I had to be careful in every move.

After a long pause. Khushi confessed her long hidden feelings.

Khushi – I love you, Arnav Ji...

Arnav's face lit up with a radiant smile, his eyes shining with happiness and relief. He pulled Khushi into his arms, holding her close as he whispered

Arnav – I love you too, Khushi. I've always loved you. From the moment I met you, I knew that you were special. And now, knowing that you feel the same way... (he paused, his voice filled with emotion) ...I am glad. Your confession means everything to me. Thank you.

He knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and dangers, but for now, he just wanted to give Khushi a sense of normalcy, a sense of peace. He wanted to show her that despite the turmoil that surrounded them, they could still find joy in each other's company.

Arnav's arms tightened around Khushi, holding her close as he looked into her eyes. He smiled softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Arnav – Let's forget about everything else for now, Khushi. Let's just focus on us, on our love for each other. We can face whatever comes next, together.

Khushi's face relaxed, a small smile playing on her lips. She nodded, her eyes shining with tears.

Khushi – Yes, Arnav Ji. Let's just be together, for now.

As they held each other close, Arnav's thoughts swirled with concern. The announcement of their marriage and his ascension to the throne would send shockwaves through the country. There would be those who would not take kindly to the news, who would seek to harm them or undermine their authority.Arnav's arms wrapped protectively around Khushi, his voice filled with determination.

Arnav – Don't worry, Khushi. I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. We'll have the best security team, the most advanced protection measures. We'll be prepared for anything.

Khushi knew that he would do everything he could to protect her, but she also knew that there were no guarantees in life.

Khushi – And what about the people who don't want us to be together? What about those who will oppose your ascension to the throne?

Arnav - We'll prove to them what we are made of.

Khushi - Should we really bother about this throne and stuff?

Arnav - Our parents have sacrificed themselves for this. Don't you want to fulfill their wish?

Khushi's eyes dropped, her gaze falling to the floor as she considered Arnav's words. She knew that he was right, that their parents had given their lives for the throne, for the kingdom. A mix of emotions swirled inside her - grief, guilt, and a sense of responsibility.

Khushi - Yes, Arnav Ji. I want to fulfill their wish. I want to make them proud.

Arnav's face softened, his eyes filling with emotion as he looked at Khushi. He reached out, his hand gently lifting her chin so that their eyes met. His touch sent shivers down her spine, and Khushi's heart skipped a beat.

Arnav - Thank you, Khushi. Thank you for understanding.
