Shyam's Demand
UNKNOWN WIFE
As the car carrying Khushi and Shyam arrived at the Raizada mansion, Arnav stood at the entrance, his expression neutral. He didn't show any excitement or concern, despite Khushi's supposed partial amnesia drama that had been set up.
Anjali, on the other hand, was visibly worried and rushed to Khushi's side, helping her out of the car.
Anjali - Khushi, Ji, how are you feeling?
Khushi, still playing the role of an amnesia patient, looked around confusedly.
Khushi - Who... who are you?
Anjali's face fell, but Nani tried to reassure Khushi.
Nani - Don't worry, Khushi. You're safe now. You're home.
Arnav watched the scene unfold, his eyes fixed on Khushi. He knew she was pretending, but he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for putting her through this.Meanwhile, the new caretaker, a middle-aged woman named Nalini, stood discreetly in the background, observing the scene.
Arnav - Di, I've arranged for Nalini to take care of you from now on. She's experienced and will take good care of you.
Anjali nodded, still looking worried about Khushi.
Anjali - Okay, Arnav. But what about Khushi? Where will she stay?
Arnav shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant.
Arnav â As usual the guestroom which she used to stay earlier. I have arranged room for Nalini in our outhouse.
Khushi's eyes met Arnav's for a brief moment, and he could sense a flicker of understanding between them. Anjali brought Khushi to Guest room.
Anjali â You rest. We will speak later. (Khushi just nods and Anjali walks out)
After a while a Arnav gets into guest room through the poolside door. Khushi continues to act.
Khushi â Hey how dare you get in my room?
Arnav smiled wryly, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Arnav â Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize I needed an invitation to enter a room my own home.
Khushi's expression remained icy, but Arnav could see a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes.
Khushi â (still pretending) Who are you? Why are you in my room?
Arnav chuckled, his voice low and husky.
Arnav â You really are committed to this act, aren't you?
Khushi's eyes flashed with a hint of warning, but Arnav just smiled and walked closer to her.
Arnav â (whispering) I know you're pretending, Khushi. But I have to say, you're very convincing.
Khushi's expression remained frozen, but Arnav could sense a slight relaxation in her posture. She rushes to him and hug.
Khushi â Arnav Ji, I am scared......Shyam Ji doesn't look good...
Arnav's arms wrapped around Khushi, holding her close as he whispered reassurances into her ear.
Arnav - Shh, Khushi. Don't worry. I'm here. You're safe.
Khushi's face was buried in Arnav's chest, her voice muffled but her words tumbling out in a rush.
Khushi - I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. Shyam Ji is getting suspicious, and I'm scared he'll figure out the truth. (After a pause she tells) He knows about Aashi's alliance to you.
This was a biggest shock to Arnav. His parents had done all his marriage arrangements in secret and how was Aashi's name revealed. Does Shyam know that's Arnav's marriage happened with Khushi in actual. Now the threat was even more. Shyam being at home was dangerous.
Arnav's eyes widened in shock, his mind racing with the implications. How did Shyam find out about the alliance? And more importantly, did he know that the marriage had actually taken place between him and Khushi? Arnav's grip on Khushi's arms tightened, his voice low and urgent.
Arnav - We have to be more careful now. If Shyam knows about the alliance, he might be suspicious about us.
Khushi nodded, her eyes filled with fear.
Khushi - I know. That's why I'm scared. What if he finds out the truth?
Arnav's face set in a determined expression.
Arnav - He won't. We'll make sure of it. But we need to come up with a new plan, now that Shyam knows about the alliance.
Khushi nodded, her mind racing with possibilities.Just then, they heard footsteps outside the room. Arnav's head jerked up, he leave her from hold and starts to go back from pool side.
Arnav â It might be Shyam. Be calm, and don't let him know you are scared.
He walks out of the room sliding the door. Khushi took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She smoothed out her clothes and composed herself, preparing to face Shyam. As she opened door, Shyam walked in, a mixture of concern and curiosity on his face.
Shyam - Khushi, how are you feeling?
Khushi shook her head, trying to look confused and disoriented.
Khushi - (hesitantly) I... I don't know. Everything is still fuzzy.
Shyam's eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was trying to read her expression.
Shyam - (softly) Don't worry, Khushi. Try and remember, You have sister called Aashi, her marriage.....did it happen? (He shows the photo of Asha and Arvind in his phone) do you remember seeing them?
Khushi's eyes widened as she saw the photo, but she quickly composed herself, trying to appear confused and uncertain.
Khushi - (hesitantly) I... I don't know. I don't remember anything.
Shyam's eyes seemed to bore into hers, as if he was trying to see if she was telling the truth.
Shyam - (softly) Think carefully, Khushi. This is important. Do you remember anything about Aashi's marriage?
Khushi shook her head, trying to appear frustrated and confused.
Khushi - (desperate) I'm trying, Shyam Ji. But I really don't remember anything.
Shyam's expression turned thoughtful, and he nodded slowly.
Shyam - (softly) Okay, Khushi. Don't worry about it. We'll try to help you remember.
As Shyam put away his phone, Khushi let out a silent sigh of relief. She knew she had to keep up the act, but it was getting harder and harder to pretend that she didn't remember anything.
Meanwhile, Arnav was watching from outside in a hideout, his eyes fixed on Shyam. He could sense that Shyam was getting closer to the truth, and he knew he had to do something to throw him off the scent.
Arnav thought carefully and decided to talk to Shyam directly. He calls Shyam to meet him on terrace and put up an act. Shyam walks to terrace leaving Khushi. As soon as Shyam came in to terrace.
Arnav â Jeejaji, sorry to bother you like this.
Shyam â What is it Arnav?
Arnav â It's about my wedding.
Shyam â What about it?
Arnav â I lied everyone that day. I never got married that day.
Shyam's eyes widened in shock, and he took a step back, his voice incredulous.
Shyam - What do you mean you never got married?
Arnav shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant.
Arnav â How could I get married, before I did any of the rituals I got call about my parents' accident and rest of the story you already know. I don't even know the details of the girl or her family.
Shyam's face turned red with anger, and he took a step closer to Arnav.
Shyam - (furiously) You're telling me that you lied to everyone?
Arnav nodded, trying to appear calm and collected.
Arnav - (coolly) That's right, Jeejaji. I had to, because I did not want Di and Nani to force me to get married.
Shyam's eyes seemed to bore into Arnav's, as if he was trying to see if he was telling the truth. Arnav held his gaze, trying to appear confident and convincing.
Shyam â Why are you telling me now?
Arnav â I am planning to get married now. So I need your help to convince Di and Nani.
Shyam's expression changed from anger to surprise, and he took a step back, his eyes narrowing.
Shyam - (thoughtfully) You want my help to convince Di and Nani to let you get married?
Arnav nodded, trying to appear sincere.
Arnav - (smiling) Yes, Jeejaji. I would really appreciate your help.
Shyam's face broke into a calculating smile, and he nodded.
Shyam - (smiling) Okay, Arnav. I'll help you. But you have to promise me one thing.
Arnav raised an eyebrow, curious.
Arnav - (cautiously) What's that?
Shyam's smile grew wider, and he leaned in, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone.
Shyam - (whispering) You have to promise me that you'll marry the girl of my choice.
Arnav's eyes widened in shock, but he tried to maintain his calm exterior.
