Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Chapter 1639 Kill In Cold Blood The girl was about to do as instructed, but Vinson stopped her by grabbing the steering wheel.
âStop the car! Stop the car, d*mn it! I need to get off now!â
Seeing as Vinson wasnât going to let the girl pull over, Arielle reached for the door handle and prepared to jump out of the car.
Vinson quickly pulled her into his arms and asked worriedly, âWhatâs gotten into you, Sannie? Tell me what the problem is, and weâll solve it together.â
âVinson, my dad is gone⦠I have no father nowâ¦â Arielle sobbed while pounding against his chest. His shirt was soon wet from her tears that refused to stop.
âW-What do you mean?â Vinson asked.
âMy dad is dead⦠Heâs dead, you hear me? I have no father anymoreâ¦â Arielle sobbed in despair.
I just reunited with my dad a while back, so why is heâ¦
âVinson, I need to go to the palace and find out how my dad died!â she muttered angrily while wiping her tears dry.
Despite being caught off guard by Dylanâs death, Vinson managed to remain calm and stopped Arielle when he heard what she said.
âCalm down, Sannie! I know Dylanâs death is incredibly suspicious, but the palace entrance is swarming with guards right now. Thereâs nothing we can do even if we head there now.â
Arielle, on the other hand, was so shaken up by the news of Dylanâs death that she couldnât possibly remain calm.
âThatâs my dad, Vinson! Heâs my biological father! Would you be able to remain calm if it were your mom that died instead?â she lashed out at him without even thinking about how hurtful that was.
Vinson didnât hold it against her as he knew she wasnât thinking straight at the time. âEven if that day does come, Iâd still remain calm. Itâs the only way Iâd be able to find out who the murderer is.â
âIâm sorry, Vinson. Iââ
âI understand, so thereâs no need to apologize.â Vinson gently patted her on the back while she bawled her eyes out in his embrace.
Feeling a lot better after crying, Arielle glanced at him with reddened eyes as she said, âYou heard it too. The queen mother said she locked Aaron up because he killed my dad, but I donât believe her!
Aaron may have betrayed my dad by taking her side, but heâd never kill him!â
Iâve known Aaron for a really long time, so I know heâs not the one who killed my dad. But, why would the queen mother imprison Aaron if he didnât do it? Who couldâve possibly killed my dad? Could the killer be the queen mother herself? No, that canât be right! As cruel as she may be, thereâs no way sheâd actually murder her only son! Who couldâve done it?
All sorts of questions raced through Arielleâs mind as she tried to make sense of the situation.
Meanwhile, the look on Nancyâs face changed the moment she heard her secretaryâs report.
âSheâs a spy from an enemy country! I want her taken care of immediately!â she ordered coldly with her fists tightly clenched.
