Chapter 1826
Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Chapter 1826 Treatment âWhatâs the matter?â Upon seeing his frown, Arielle placed her hand on his. Instead of replying verbally, Vinson handed the phone to her.
The instant she read the content of the text, she understood why he had that expression. If she were in his shoe, she also wouldnât know what to do.
After all, Gaspar was Vinsonâs brother. As much as Vinson didnât want to admit it, both of them were related by blood. The situation was just like the one between her and Aaron. While she really didnât want to regard Aaron as her little brother, she still did it in the end because it felt pretty good to have an additional family member.
The difference between her and Vinsonâs situation was that this half-brother of his was very hostile toward him. Time and time again, Gaspar tried to kill Vinson. That was totally unacceptable to her.
âWhatâs your plan? Are you going to do as this message instructed?â Staring at Vinson, Arielle assured, âIâll support whatever you decide to do.â
âI need to go back and ask Mom whatâs the problem with him before I decide how to deal with this matter.â He sighed. Susanne didnât give a clear explanation on the phone last time. If he wanted to understand the details of the situation, he had to go back and ask her about it.
Then he turned to Arielle. âWhat did you want me to see?â
She turned on her phone again and handed it to him.
He had no medical background, so he didnât understand what he was reading. âWhat does this mean?
Is she feeling unwell somewhere?â
After staring at Vinson for a while, Arielle uttered with a dark expression, âItâs likely that Mom has a brain tumor.â
âB-Brain tumor?â Vinson, who was usually calm, couldnât maintain his composure when he heard that.
âYesterday, Mom mentioned she gets mild headaches occasionally. So, I took her to the hospital for a checkup.â Holding his hand, she continued in a serious tone, âLet me handle Mom. Iâll do my best to treat her.â
What was still unknown to her at that point was whether the tumor was benign or malignant. Things would be okay if the tumor were benign. However, if it was malignantâ¦
In any case, she still had to come up with a plan to take Susanne to a comprehensive checkup.
âDo you think we should tell Mom about her condition?â Arielle asked. She really had no idea what excuse she could use to bring Susanne for a checkup. After all, once the checkup was done, Susanne would need to receive treatment. Arielle didnât actually like the idea of hiding the matter from her.
âI donât think we can hide it from her since sheâll need to receive treatment. She has a strong mental strength, so I think she can handle it.â In the first few years after Vinsonâs fatherâs passing, Vinson was still young, so Susanne was the one who carried the burden of managing Nightshire Group on her shoulder. That was why he believed his mother could handle it.
âSo⦠I should break the news to Mom?â
âWeâll do it together.â He didnât want Arielle to handle the matter alone. After all, he should be responsible for his own mother.
After taking care of his things, Vinson returned home with Arielle. When Susanne, who was watering the plants, saw both of them returning at the same time, she was surprised.
âLetâs talk inside the house, Mom. There are some things Vinson wants to ask you about.â Arielle approached the older woman before grabbing the watering can in Susanneâs hand and putting it on the side. Then, she held her mother-in-lawâs hand and entered the house together.
âWhat do you want to ask me about?â Susanne had a very strong feeling that something was going on, considering the couple had returned together.
