Chapter 1828
Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Chapter 1828 Brain Tumor âIâm listening,â Susanne replied casually as she stared at Arielleâs belly. I wonder when I can hold my grandchild. When she imagined a couple of children calling her Grandma in the future, her lips couldnât help but curve upward slightly.
âAfter you went through a checkup at the hospital yesterday, the doctor sent us a report saying that thereâs a tumor in your brain, Mom.â Knowing that he couldnât hide the matter at all, Vinson went straight to the point.
âOh, okay. Got it.â Seeing how calm his mother appeared to be, he quickly added, âDonât worry. With Sannie around, youâll be fine.â
âWorry? Why would I need to worry?â A confused expression was visible on Susanneâs face as she turned to Vinson.
âYes, thereâs nothing for you to worry about.â Vinson let out a sigh of relief inwardly when he saw how composed his mother was. While he was pretty certain his mother would take the news well, he was still worried that she wouldnât.
âIn that case, weâll head to the hospital later and do another CT or MRI scan. This way, weâll know if your tumor is benign or malignant.â Arielle held Susanneâs hand.
âWhat do you mean by that, Arielle? Whatâs benign or malignant?â The older woman stared at the younger woman, stunned. âAre you saying thereâs a t-tumor in my head?â
âMom, youâ¦â Seeing Susanneâs response, Arielle spoke hesitantly. âDidnât Vinson just tell you that you have a brain tumor?â
Susanne immediately let go of Arielleâs hand when she heard that. I got a brain tumor! Will I be able to live long enough to see my grandchild? See them walk and go to school?
The instant Arielle saw her mother-in-law acting like that, she knew the older woman didnât hear what Vinson said clearly. Quickly, she grabbed Susanneâs hand and said in a serious tone, âDonât you trust my medical skills, Mom? With me around, youâll definitely be fine. Right now, we just need to relax and focus on the treatment. Youâll surely recover.â
âDeath no longer scares me, Sannie. Itâs just that I havenât seen you and Vinsonâs children yet. If I die before I meet them, Iâll have regrets, and I wonât know how to face Vinsonâs father when I go to the afterlife.â
âWith me around, there is no doubt that youâll be able to live a long life, Mom,â Arielle said resolutely. I need to find a chance to have a proper talk with Vinson. Regardless of what kind of tumor is growing in Susanneâs head, I must make Vinson cooperate with me and conceive a child. Itâs not just my idea. Itâs Susanneâs too. Sheâs getting pretty old now, so I donât want her to keep waiting for the chance to spend time with a grandchild.
âYou must believe in Sannieâs medical skills, Mom.â It was apparent to Vinson that his mother didnât hear him correctly the first time around.
Since Susanne was still staying silent, Arielle spoke up. âIf youâre still worried, I can ask my foster parents to come over. Will that put you at ease?â
âYour foster parents?â The older woman shook her hand. âThereâs no need to trouble them.â
âItâs not that big a deal. Iâve already asked them to open a clinic here. Itâs being delayed for the moment because they still havenât found a good spot yet. If I ask them to come, itâll just advance the plan ahead of schedule.â
Since Arielle had said that, Susanne found no reason to refuse. Although, it was quite obvious the latter was feeling down.
