Chapter 747
Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Cindy screeched, âMatthias! Matthias! Let me go! Who do you all think you are to seize me?â
Vinson rubbed his ear and complained, âThis lady is loud too.
The bodyguard immediately understood him and hit Cindy at her neck, rendering her unconscious.
âTake her away too!â
Vinson waved his hand and the two were instantly thrown onto the car.
âEveryone,â Vinson greeted and paused as he turned to face the crowd. Only then did he continue, âThank you for standing up for Arielle. Here are the gifts we have prepared for those who helped out earlier. Please proceed to my assistant to claim them.â
Rayson, who was standing behind him, raised his hand and informed, âPlease come to me to claim your gifts, a voucher from Nightshire Group worth one thousand. You can spend it at any shopping mall under Nightshire Group.â
Right after he finished his speech, the students were already storming excitedly to him.
Wow, we actually get vouchers that are worth one thousand for standing up for Arielle? How lucky!
Thereâs indeed free lunch!
As the crowd was claiming their vouchers, Trisha merely watched them, unmoved. She then drew closer to Arielle and whispered by her ear, âSannie, have you gotten together with Mr. Nightshire?â
Before Arielle could utter a word, Vinson came and asked politely, âAre you Arielleâs friend?â
Realizing that he was talking to her, Trisha froze for a moment as her social anxiety disorder kicked in.
Nervous, she gulped and cautiously stuttered, âIâI am.â
She then stole a glance at Vinson, only to see him curving a faint courteous smile at her.
However, she could tell that the smile was feigned because the look in his eyes was menacing like a warning in disguise.
Did I see it wrong? Why is he looking at me like Cindy? Iâm not Arielleâs enemy!
As Trisha was quite fearful due to her conditionâshe had mild autism, she promptly drew back and hid behind Arielle, frightened by the intimidating glare.
Sadly, her instinctive gesture irked Vinson, causing him to stare more sinisterly at her, for he had never embraced Arielle from behind.
âYouâre Trisha, right?â he asked coldly, âThanks for taking care of Sannie at school. We should have a meal together someday.â
Terrified, Trisha dared not to speak a word and just looked at Arielle for help.
The latter held Trishaâs hand and said to Vinson, âDonât you frighten her. Sheâs quite timid.â
âHow have I frightened her?â Vinson shrugged and added, âI was only suggesting to treat her to a meal for taking care of you.â
âSheâs not used to seeing strangers,â Arielle paused for a moment and continued, âCindyâs going to wake up soon. Letâs not delay our time and head to the hospital quickly.â
âAll right.â Vinson nodded as he reached out his hand, intending to hold Arielleâs.
However, Arielle ignored his invitation and turned to speak to Trisha. âIâm sorry, Trisha. This matter is urgent. I wonât be going to the pasta restaurant with you.â
âItâs fine. No worries.â Trisha hastily shook her head and encouraged, âYou should get going now!â
If youâre staying any longer, heâll be irritated.
âThen Iâll be heading off now.â Right when Arielle raised her hand, intending to wave goodbye, Vinson promptly grabbed it and forcefully tugged her away.
As they got on the car, Arielle questioned him impatiently, âWhy are you in such a hurry?â
He stole a glance at her and calmly answered, âDidnât you ask me to not waste time?â
âStill, one second wonât help much.â
Vinson did not respond to her. Suddenly, Arielle fathomed his reasonings and stared widely at him, asking, âHey, donât tell me youâre jealous of Trisha?â
Hearing her query, Vinson immediately felt a chill going down his spine. Although he fell silent, faint pinkness emerged from his emotionless face.
