Mafia Kings: Roberto: Chapter 75
Mafia Kings: Roberto: Dark Mafia Romance Series #5
I had to admit, Roberto far exceeded every expectation I had.
From the choice of the restaurantâ¦
To greeting the head chef and owner like an old friendâ¦
To the private tasting in the kitchenâ¦
And making our own homemade pasta by mixing the dough with our handsâ¦
I experienced something I hadnât felt in a long, long time:
Fun.
Child-like, exuberant fun.
Add in the delicious food and the spectacular wine, and I was flying high as we took our seats in the main dining room.
And then he surprised me even more.
We were flirting pretty heavily. I had forgotten all about Lauâs order to do what Roberto wanted; I was just enjoying our repartee.
He asked me if I participated in De Sadeâs âactivities.â
âOn occasion. Not at the club, though. Never at the club. I keep my personal life and work life separate.â
To be honest, it had been forever since Iâd done anything with a partner. The stress of my job had forced me to be âall work and no playâ for nearly a year.
I asked him if he was in the scene. He told me ânoâ and that he had to be discreet.
âMy family wouldnât exactly understand my⦠specific desires,â he said.
âAnd what are these âspecific desiresâ?â
He stared directly into my eyes. âControl.â
A shiver ran down my spine when he said it.
âDomination?â I asked.
âI guess you could call it that.â
Then the conversation got around to me.
âWhat do you enjoy?â he asked in a low voice.
I thought about not telling him.
It wasnât any of his business.
But part of meâ¦
Part of me was hoping he might want to play.
âI like being tied up,â I said quietly.
As soon as I said it, his eyes darkened. I could feel his desire radiating out over me.
I realized with a bit of shock that I was turned on, too.
Very turned on.
WAY too turned on.
GOD he was hotâ¦
When he started to speak, I interrupted and tried to reassert control. âNo, I get to ask you a question now.â
He smiled at me like he enjoyed seeing me flusteredâ¦
And then he agreed.
I should have asked him something neutral, something mundane.
But the bloom of heat I felt between my legs won out.
âWhen did you first know?â
âWhen I was 20.â
âWhat happened?â I asked, my mouth watering.
He held my eyes for the longest timeâ¦
Then looked at his Rolex.
âOh, no â look at the time. I have to get you back to work.â
What a fucking tease!
âNO!â I cried out as I slapped his arm.
âWhat can I do? I promised.â
âYou coward!â
âNot at all. Iâm just not going to tell you that story here.â
âWhy not?â
âItâs private. And slightly scandalous. Not for your club, obviously â but for an establishment like this, itâs a bit risqué, and I wouldnât want it overheard.â
I knew where this was heading.
I knew exactly what he was going to say nextâ¦
And I found, to my surprise, that I wanted him to say it.
âWhere would you tell me, then?â
His gaze was hypnotic as he murmured, âAt your place. Over a drink.â
This is a bad idea, Mei-ling.
You shouldnât do thisâ¦
But I wanted to.
Desperately wanted to, in fact.
And for the second time that evening, I agreed to what he asked.
âAlright,â I whispered.
