Chapter 9 – What an infuriating woman! (2)

“Exactly, so we will have to ask Miss Ah Yu to wait patiently. If the newborn doesn’t look like him, we can wait for him to grow up. If he doesn’t look like Sinian when he was one, we will wait till he turns two; if he didn’t look like Sinian when he was two, we will wait till he turns 10; if he doesn’t look like Sinian when he was 10, we will wait till he turns 18. Once he’s an adult, he will no doubt look like Sinian. I am sure Sinian would be happy on the other side when his child calls him ‘dad’ then.” That said, she sighed, “It was too bad we weren’t able to find Sinian’s body. Otherwise, we would be able to run a DNA test right away and Uncle wouldn’t have to suspect that I am lying and smearing Sinian’s reputation.”

The only reason Ah Yu came all the way here was precisely because they would not be able to have a DNA test. Hearing what Yu Duo had to say now, she’d have to wait for the child to grow up? He or she would have to look like Sinian before they’d recognize him as his child?

Whether the child looks like him is very subjective. Unless the child is a clone of his, otherwise if Yu Duo said they don’t look alike, what could she do about that?

By that time, the entire inheritance would be gone already.

Ah Yu panicked all of a sudden.

“Uncle... This... This child really belongs to Sinian. You must believe me....”

Uncle gave Ah Yu an angry stare. It was obvious who was in the right at this point.

“Sinian was infertile, so where did this child come from? Never mind that you were lying to me. You tried to cheat Yu Do also? How dare you? Now, scram!”

Ah Yu came here with full of confidence in herself. With just a few words from Yu Duo, she had lost the entire battle miserably. She even lost the trust of Uncle who was on her side. Covering her stomach with her hand and having no other options, she finally left feeling unreconciled.

Yu Duo looked at Uncle and her look that of appreciation, “Uncle, thank you so much...”

Uncle was touched by how appreciative Yu Duo looked and said, “Oh, child. There’s no need to thank me. It was all Uncle’s fault. Uncle was fooled by the child Ah Yu. Uncle is sorry.”

Yu Duo shook her hands frantically. Looking like she was overwhelmed by his apology, she said, “No, no, no. That is alright. I understand that you didn’t mean for that to happen. Uncle was also the victim in this incident. I understand.”

And that was how Yu Duo took care of the whole incident.

On the other hand, Fu Sinian was so angry he could breathe fire.

He had no idea who was this woman who he had allegedly “grew up with”, never mind that so called child that was his. He was quite curious how Yu Duo would handle this drama, but he didn’t expect her to just straight up make up a lie that nobody could proof – his fertility!

The way that Yu Duo could twist the truth was surely an eye-opening experience for him.

Every word out of her mouth was utter nonsense!

If he hadn’t already found out what kind of person she was, her seemingly sincere speech just now probably would have even convinced him. She might have him questioning his own fertility!n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

This woman was outrageous!

Too outrageous!

Fu Sinian add another mark on this woman in his little black book.

Uncle was very pleased with how reasonable Yu Duo was, “I am glad that you are so reasonable, then Uncle would not discuss this any further. It has been a while since Sinian has passed. Have you heard anything about his inheritance from the lawyers?”

Yu Duo did not give away anything from her look. Uncle was finally starting to show his true colors.

At the end of the day, he just wanted to leech off of her.

She replied obediently, “Yes, the lawyers had already spoken to me.”
