(Pt.1 of double update)
"No, you cannot draw a dick on my cast, Sophia." Kayden chuckled.
"You let me do that, last time." Sophia whined.
"Wait, there was a last time?" I ask.
"Uh-huh, two years ago, she fell down the stairs." Isabella explained.
"You fell down the What?" Mrs. Black exclaimed.
"Stairs?" Kayden sheepishly admitted.
"Oh my god, you will give me a heart attack, child." Mrs. Black playfully glared at her daughter.
"Well, I hope not." Kayden grinned. Cutie.
"Which leg?" Blake asked.
"Left." Kayden answered.
"Cool." Noah grinned.
"No, it isn't cool." Mr. Black sternly said, playfully of course, and smiled at his son, which Noah happily returns.
Even though I've known Mr and Mrs Black my whole life and they insist that I call them by their names, I never do.
"No, Sophia," Ooh, Kayden full named her, "I told you not to draw a dick on my cast." Kayden looks defeated.
"Kayden Cassia Black, as your best friend, it is my duty to embarrass you as much as I can." Sophia reasoned.
"If Oliver wasn't holding me hostage right now, I would've punched you." Kayden says, gesturing to the iron hold I have on her, what? I don't want her to break anymore body parts.
"No you wouldn't." Isabella muttered.
"No I wouldn't." Kayden smiled, dork.
"Can I draw flowers on your cast, Kay?" Isabella asked.
"Sure, babe." Kayden pet her head and Isabella swatted her hands away.
Suddenly, the front door was slammed open and a woman, around my age, stood there, holding hands with two kids.
"You've been away for three years, Kayden Cassia Black, and I get told that your back because of my mother, explain yourself." She said.
"Aria!" Kayden exclaimed and wiggled out of my hold while simultaneously trying not to accidentally kick Isabella in the face, and running towards the woman, with the cast and all, and flung herself at her, pulling her in to a tight hug.
"I missed you kiddo." Aria, who I now recognize as Kayden and Noah's cousin, who looks exactly like Kayden just with blue eyes, let go of the little kids' hands and hugged Kayden back.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you," Kayden's voice sounds like she's tearing up.
"No, don't cry, if you cry I cry, remember?" Aria tightened her hold, Aria and Kayden used to be really close before Kayden moved.
Kayden nodded.
When they pulled away a couple of minutes later, Aria noticed the cast on Kayden's leg.
"What did you do?" Aria got in to mama bear mode.
"I tripped," Kayden sheepishly admitted, "Who are the tiny humans?" Kayden crouched down and gave both of them high fives.
"Oh," Aria's smile widened, "These are Ethan and Daisy, I'm their nanny." Aria took their hands again and Kayden stood up and closed the door, both of them coming over to the living room.
"I thought you were a chef," Kayden articulated.
"It's a long story," once they arrived at the living room, Mrs. Black jumped on Aria too, this family does not know how to give normal hugs.
"Auntie!" Aria exclaimed.
"Hello, child." Mrs. Black laughed.
Kayden sat next to me again.
"You know you shouldn't run with a broken leg right?" I put my arm around her shoulders.
"Really?" She faked a gasp, "The things you learn." Kayden sarcastically retorted.
"I like the attitude, Smalls." I whispered in her ear, successfully distracting her from seeing my hand progressing to her side, tickling her.
She started laughing.
"Stop," she laughed, "Oliver," she laughed again.
"Will you drop the attitude?" I asked, really liking how this turned out.
"I thought you liked the attitude," Kayden cheekily said.
"So I guess you like being tickled." I said and she shook her head vigorously, she laughed when I started tickling her, again.
"Okay, okay," she breathlessly said, "I'll stop." She said, laughing in between.
I lifted my hands from her side, both of us with goofy grins playing on our lips.
"Huh," Aria voiced, "Never thought this would happen." When I look around I see that everyone is looking at us, greaty great.
"Shut up." Kayden retorted.
"Not in front of the tiny humans, Kayden," Sophia gasped, "Don't you have some manners?"
"Fu.." Kayden trailed off, noticing the innocent little kids who are sitting next to Aria, looking curiously at Kayden, "Fuzz," Kayden exclaimed, "Fuzz you, Soph."
"Really?" Aria gave her a deadpan look, "Fuzz, that's all you got? I thought you were smart." She smirked.
"Why don't you go make something?" Kayden slumped back.
"Why don't you go break something?" Aria teased.
"It was an accident!" Kayden exclaimed.
"Uh-huh, sure." Sophia joined on teasing Kayden.
"I like this kid," Aria exclaimed, beaming at Sophia, "Hi I'm Aria, Noah and Kayden's cousin." Aria smiled at them.
"We're Kayden's friends, I'm Sophia and this is Isabella," Sophia gestured to her friend.
"Best friend." Kayden faked a cough.
"I'm even surprised you have friends." Aria chuckled.
Kayden held up her fourth finger, as if it were her third, because of the kids in the room, and her mom.
Aria has been over here a couple of times in the last three years so she knows Blake and I.
"Ugh, I hate all of you." Kayden moved to get up.
"Hey," Isabella, Noah and I simultaneously exclaimed.
"Except for you guys." Kayden turned and smiled, then she started limping towards the kitchen.
"Hey," Sophia exclaimed.
"We have a love-hate relationship darling." Kayden turned back around.
"Don't call me darling." Sophia called.
I got up and in two strides, Kayden was already in my arms, being carried to the kitchen.
"I'm not crippled you know, I can walk." She grumbled, looking up at me.
"I know, but you shouldn't walk on your leg Kay." Plus I like you in my arms, but I don't say that.
"When did that happen?" I hear Aria ask.
"About a month ago," Noah replied.
"But they were always touchy with each other." Sophia added.
"No they weren't," Aria said, "Three years ago, if Oliver would walk into the same room Kayden was in, she'd run to her room, yelling something about homework." I remember that, I never really understood why Kayden would be so afraid of me.
I place Kayden down on the counter, "What did you need from here?" I ask.
"I wanted a snack." She replied.
"Chips?"
She nodded.
I hand her her favorite chips and I added in the M&M's that she likes as well, she looks up at me with that beautiful smile of hers, it makes my heart melt.
"Thank you, Ollie."
"You're welcome Smalls." I reply.
I don't know how, but lately all I've been doing is hanging out with Kayden, or thinking about her, and a smile has never left my face since.
"What're you thinking about?" She asks, gesturing at the bag of chips that she opened, silently offering me some.
I shake my head, declining her offer, "You," I reply.
"Only good things I hope." She continued happily eating her chips.
I laugh and kiss her temple, that gets a reaction out of her, a blush covers her cheeks.
"You have a nice laugh." She blurted.
"You do too." I reply.
"No I don't, you liar, I laugh like a run over cat." She frowns.
"Who told you that?" She has one of the nicest laughs I've ever heard.
"No one, it's a self diagnosed problem." She nodded to herself.
"Sure it is, you have a nice laugh, Smalls." She shakes her head, smiling a little.
"Hey, because of the cast and all, I won't go to the city next week, so feel free to fill out your day." She says.
"Can I fill out my day with you?" I ask, I moved to stand right in front of her, placing my hands on either side of her, leaning down a little, so that I have to look up at her.
"Depends."
"On what?" I ask.
"If you let me walk by myself, and not be carried everywhere, seriously Oliver, I don't like being incompetent." Did she just call me Oliver?
"Why did you call me Oliver?" I ask, genuinely appalled.
"Cause I wanted to be serious."
"Don't do that." I state, "How would you like if I started calling you Kayden instead of Smalls?" I question.
"Fair enough." She shrugged, continuing to munch on her chips.
"We can go to my house, it'll probably be empty, but if not, you already met everyone." I suggest.
"Your house?" She questioned.
"Yup," I nod, "We can watch a movie, or whatever you want to do."
"Yeah?"
I nod again.
"Okay, that sounds nice." She moved on to her M&M's.
"Can I take you to the living room now?" I ask, not wanting to hog her away from her family.
"What have I just said about not being carried?" She sternly looked at me.
"Fine," I grumbled, "I was just trying my luck."
"But I do need one favor." She said.
"Shoot," i replied.
"Take me down from here, please." Sheepishly said, "Dude you're literally a giant." She added.
I lifted her up off the counter and placing her down on her feet, laughing all the way to the living room.
"-So that's when Kayden realized that you shouldn't run naked through the neighborhood." Aria was, probably, finishing an embarrassing story about Kayden, one that made everyone laugh and Kayden to turn around and hide her face in my chest.
"Please stop." Kayden grumbled.
"No, no please continue, I'm creating a google doc about this." Sophia literally couldn't stop laughing.
The little ones were playing with Kayden's old toys while sitting on the couch with everyone else, also laughing.
"If you do that I will cut your hair off." Kayden turned around and threatened.
That made Sophia laugh even harder.
"I'm sure your cute little toosh would do that." Isabella laughed as well.
"Not you too, until I had faith in humanity." Kayden muttered and I pulled her over to the couch, there was no space left for two people, so I pulled her on to my lap.
"What're you doing?" She asked, turning to me.
"There was no other space," I reasoned, but a big part of my brain is literally doing a happy dance right now.
"I could've sat on the floor." That made me wrap my hands around her waist and pull her more towards me.
I placed her head on my shoulder and placed my chin on her shoulder, "Not on my watch." I mutter in her ear.

Hey, hi, hello.
How are you?
I like Oliver's POV, such a cutie.
Anyhow, Aria is such a random character, I just wanted to add something to this book that isn't strictly fluffy romance, so yeah meet Aria.
And the part with the kids was just fun to add, cuties.
Would you please vote if you liked it????
Thanks bb
