Chapter - 49

Abhor & Amour

Sanjana's POV:

I woke up from the best sleep of my life only to find space beside me cold and empty.

Where is Akshay? I thought to myself as I get out of the bed only to realize I am hungry. I can find Akshay later, first I need food. Some spicy and salty food. My mouth watered at the thought of some spicy Paanipuri.

I freshened up quickly and went downstairs.

"Amrita, Ask someone to bring me 2..no...4 plates of spicy Paanipuri, make sure it is from roadside stall not some fancy hotel." I quickly asked her while reaching for the pantry to take out some chilli flavoured chips.

"Ma'am, I will ask Neil to get you this as soon as possible." She chirped and went away while I smiled widely at her.

Mila and Geetanjali Bhabhi came to kitchen after sometime to prepare dinner only to find me stuffing whatever I can get my hands on.

"Sanjana, do you want something specific for dinner?" Geetanjali Bhabhi asked.

"Yes, please make some spicy Chole-Rice." I told, mouthful.

"You can swallow first and then can tell, no need to be in so much rush." Mila Bhabhi mildly reprimanded me while I just grinned at her foolishly.

After stuffing some good amount of chips, some frozen acai berries, raspberries and goji berries, I was content for the time being.

After I was full, I remembered Akshay, where is he?

"Bhabhi, where is Akshay?" I asked Geetanjali Bhabhi.

"He is with Mummy Ji outside in the  back garden." As soon as she replied I was out of my chair to on my way to back garden.

Akshay and Mummy Ji were in some deep discussion, I did not paid any heeds to that and occupied the seat next to Akshay while plugging in my earphones listening to Elvis Presley. Both of them glanced over me - just shook their head at me and went back to their discussion.

I snuggled into Akshay as I know Mummy Ji will not have problem with it. She smiled at me and they continued talking while I took in the delicious smell of Akshay. It is spicy-cinnamon and all male. It just soothes me.

Akshay started playing with my hair absent- minded and I fully enjoyed the sensation it provided me. It was so relaxing that I was verge on falling asleep, when Akshay took out my earphone buds.

"Your spicy paanipuri is here." Akshay answered when I was gazing at him questioningly.

I glanced toward the table to find my paanipuri ready to be devoured. The aloo was already stuffed into puris and I just have to dip it into spicy paani and devour it.

I did not even wait for a second as I started gobbling up the delicious paanipuri. 1 plate has 6, so there were total 24 paanipuri. I had eaten 23 when I realized I did not even offered Mummy Ji and Akshay.

"Guys, you want to eat?" I asked embarrassed.

"Sweetheart, your courtesy came a little late, if we both say yes, are you going to make more paanipuri majically appear?" Akshay was sarcastic as ever.

"No, we don't want to eat. You know I can't eat spicy food and Akshay does not eat street food. Akshay stop teasing her." Mummy Ji pacified the situation.

"When did I teased her, I was asking a legit question." Akshay counter- argued.

"I am out of here, nobody can win against you." Mummy Ji commeneted and left from there.

"Why are not finishing the last one?" Akshay asked me while rummaging through his phone.

"You feed me, please." I requested while pouting at him.

"I am not doing it. Its so messy, Eat yourself." He said while staring disgustingly at paanipuri.

"How can someone hate paanipuri?" I asked him while huffing to show my anger.

"Baby, not everyone loves paanipuri. It's just Indian female specie which is mad behind paanipuri." Akshay snorted while telling me his self invented fact.

"Whatever" I muttered before stuffing my last paanipuri. After that I drank a cup full of spicy Paani.

It was so damn yummy. I was fully content--it felt like heaven.

"You are finished. Let's go inside." Akshay was about to get up when I stopped him while holding his hand.

"We need to talk about what you said." I reminded him.

"What's there to talk about. You are my wife and I love you. I mean is not it normal?" Akshay muttered boredly.

"You are the most unromantic man in whole world, no whole universe." I shouted at him.

"As if, you are the most romantic in the whole world." He huffed at me.

"I don't want to fight with you." I said while collecting the dishes from the table.

"It is my hobby to fight with you." Sarcasm in Akshay's tone was highly evident.

"Don't talk to me." I muttered irritated with him.

"It was you who wanted to talk, remember?" He snarked while walking ahead of me.

"I wanted to talk some sweet nothings of love but that is impossible with KHADOOS like you." I shouted from behind at him.

"What did you call me KHADOOS? If I am that na, then you are CHUDAIL. Anyway, I don't want to waste my precious nerves while talking to you." He responded, his pitch not changing, the tone of the voice was same rough and business-like, his usual. Just his word more poisonous.

"As if, I am dying to talk to you." I was not paying attention while walking and I was about to trip on a stone when Akshay steadied me.

"If you pay more attention to your walking, then fighting with me. It will better for both of us." He mumbled while helping me stand straight.

"Sorry." I muttered and carefully walk inside the house.

Once I was inside, I deposited the dishes in the sink and helped Mila and Geeta Bhabhi in setting the dinner table.

--

Everyone was here for dinner, so was the wicked witch of West- you guessed it right--one and only Ahaana.

I mean why I have to see her face. I was already enough irritated for the day by Akshay, why I have to see her ugly face.

I mentally murdered her, not realising that I have tightly gripped my spoon. Akshay opened my wrist and take the spoon away.

"It is not running anywhere." He muttered while caressing my palm to ease the muscles of hand.

All my irritation for him went out of the window with his just one loving gesture.
