Chapter 101

The girls quietly entered their home. It was dark the lights were out.

ASLI: "thank god it looks like he's sleeping."

ELA: "yeah, probably drunk out of his mind."

ASLI: "hopefully he didn't realize that we were out late." The girls went up stairs quietly and all of a

Sudden Asli gets a hard slap across the face. She almost fell backwards."

Ela and Asli were in shock, they couldn't believe that he just slapped her and that the bastard was awake.

STEPFATHER: "where have you been, do you know what time it is!! Or better yet, who were you with,,"

ELA: "we had a launch party, nothing else, we were working all day and we had to present our campaign."

STEPFATHER: "your lying, you two have boyfriends, people saw them dropping you off."

Asli is crying. He's holding on to her arm tightly he won't leave her go. He slaps her hard again. And Ela tries to pull him away from her.

ASLI: please stop, don't hit me again, please!" He getting angrier.

STEPFATHER: "your being gossiped in this neighborhood, your quitting your job's, and you will not go out with those boys again.

ELA: You can't tell us what to do, we're old enough to make our decisions!!"Asli was now getting angry there is no way I'm quitting my job and breaking up with Aziz! She looks him in the eyes with anger

ASLI: " that is not going to happen, I've had enough of you, I'm old enough to make my own decisions!!"

He started getting angry and more agitated,

STEPFATHER: "what did you say, are defying me."

He punches her in the ribs and then in the face.

" I'll show you who's the boss, without me you would be in the streets!!"Ela is trying to pull Asli away from him and he punches her in the face.  Asli looks into his eyes and says

ASLI: "No!! Without me you would be in the streets you drunken lazy bastard, you sit home while I bring home the money and you go buy alcohol and sleep all day!! He punches Asli in her side, Ela kicks him but it didn't hurt him , he's a big guy. And very strong. Ela jumps on his back so he will leave go of Asli's arm and he pushes her backwards and she lands hard on the floor, he turns and looks at Ela "you leave now, this isn't your house get up, or you will be sorry."

ELA: "if I leave Asli comes with me, there is no way I'm leaving her here with you!!" He starts laughing and kicking her hard in the schin. Ela has tears in her eyes from the pain." Asli also crying, she tries to pull away to help Ela but he's going crazy he starts flipping out and yelling at both of them. He starts punching and kicking Asli and she's screaming and so is Ela . Ela gets up again jumps on his back but again he throws her back.

STEPFATHER: "You two are an embarrassment, sleeping around, is that how you're making your money!! Ela was crying she pulls out her phone and dials Nihats number.

NIHAT: "Aziz, I can't get the girls out of my head, I don't know something is really bothering them."

AZIZ: "me too brother, I have a bad feeling, you know Asli is always saying her stepfather is very strict do you think it has anything to do with him.?"

NIHAT: "maybe, we will talk to them tomorrow, let's get going back to the car, it's getting late." Nihat and Aziz are walking to the car in the neighborhood when his phone rings and he sees it's Ela.

NIHAT: "my love you your still up."

He hears screaming he puts the phone on speaker.

ELA: oh my god, Nihat he's going to kill Asli, please, please, oh my god." The boys are in shock , Aziz grabs the phone, "Ela what's going on."he hears Asli in the background screaming and crying . The boys start running towards the house, there outside side and they hear screaming and crying they break the door open and Asli is lying at the bottom of the steps passed out and bleeding, with her stepfather on top of her ready to hit her again. Aziz flipped, he grabbed him punches him hard several times and knocks him out. Ela is at the top of the steps crying and screaming, she's shaking. Nihat runs up to Ela.

ELA: "Asli, Asli, oh my god, what did he do to you!!" Nihat is holding her, Aziz is on top of Asli

AZIZ: "Asli my love, speak to me , please open your eyes." He's crying, Asli," the neighborhood must of called the police because they heard sirens. Asli, please princess, open your eyes." Nothing, she's so bet up, her eyes are swollen her lips. He hears the stepfather waking up, Aziz turns and looks at him

AZIZ: you bastard I'm going to kill you!! He gets up and starts hitting him again and knocks him out Nihat grabbed his brother for him to stop.

NiHAT: "leave him, Asli, take care of her, you go to the hospital with her in the ambulance, and I will follow with Ela. The EMT got Asli ready, they put oxygen on her , her breathing was very shallow . They put her in the ambulance and left for the hospital. Nihat took Ela with him.

NIHAT: "Ela, he bet you up too, you need to be checked out too." Ela is crying, did he kill her , oh my god Asli."

She's crying uncontrollably, he pulls over the car.

NIHAT: "Ela, look at me, (she looks up) she's alive, she will be okay. Please, calm down." She nodded her head.

On the way to the hospital, Nihat called his parents and told them what happened.

The whole family was at the hospital, including the grandparents, sisters and fiancée's, Emre, Leyla and their children.  They took Ela to be checked out to, she's is  very traumatized. Nihat and Aziz, were waiting, both getting very impatient, especially Aziz, "Asli is hurt very bad Annem, what happens if". Sanem shushed him.and she hugs him tightly as he's crying.

SANEM: "Aziz look at me, she's going to be okay, she's a lot tougher than you think." Can  looks at Sanem, concerned. Can and Sanem hugged both of there boys, as they were all crying. Metin came in with Derin, they were very worried.

METIN: "any news?" They all nodded no. "I talked to the police, it seems it's not the first time the girls were hit. The people in the neighborhood tried to help several times, but the girls were too scared to say anything. Aziz, she never said anything to you?"

AZIZ: " we sensed something was wrong, and we asked both of them, they said everything was fine."

NIHAT: "we could tell something was bothering them, but I guess they were to scared to say anything"

CAN: "where is the stepfather?"

METIN: "They police arrested him, he's a mean one that one and an alcoholic. don't worry, I'll take care of him, he's going to be in prison for a long time."

AZIZ: "Thank you Metin, but I would like to take care of him myself!" Metin looked at Aziz, this boy or should I say these boys are definitely their father's son.

The nurse came out with Ela, Nihat got up to go to her and when she saw him she ran up to him crying, she wouldn't let go.

NIHAT: "it's , okay , don't cry." He looks at the nurse.

NURSE: "Ela will be okay, she has some bruises but nothing serious."

AZIZ: "is there any news on Asli?"

NURSE: "not yet, I'm sorry, but someone should be out soon to talk to you."

About a half hour later the doctor came out to talk to the family.

DOCTOR: "who here is related to Asli?" Everyone got up of course. The doctor smiled "

Your all related?"

AZIZ: "I'm her boyfriend, we're the only family she has and Ela here is her cousin. Doctor how is she "

DOCTOR: "she's a lucky girl, she had quite a fall and he bet her up good. She's stable, she's breathing better. Her right arm has a slight fracture, but she hit her head falling down the steps, the cat scan shows some swelling on the brain, but very little, and she has bruised ribs, She should make a full recovery." Aziz and Ela just broke down crying, everyone had tears in their eyes. " but I'm sure both girls are traumatized, especially Asli, they are going to need your support. And maybe some psychological help. I'm sure this isn't the first time he's abused them. Okay then, the nurses are preparing her to take her to a private room. Please let her rest, I wouldn't be surprised if she's out for a good twenty four hours , plus we're giving her pain meds and those will knock her out too." Everyone thanked the doctor and waited for the nurses to give her room number.

Everyone went up and sat in the waiting room, the nurse gave them her room number, and they all went in to see her a little at a time.

CAN: "we're going to go home, I know you want to stay, we will back again in the morning.

AZIZ: okay baba " he gets up and hugs his father crying and holding him tight and then his mother.

SANEM: "we love you Aziz, call us if you need anything." He nodded and they left, with the grandparents. But all the siblings stayed and all the cousins, and fiancé's . They couldn't leave Aziz and Asli.

Aziz went into the her room and held Asli's hand, he kept kissing it, and telling her how much he loves her. And that everyone is here waiting for her to wake up.

Aziz put his head down on Asli's bed holding her hand. And the rest of the Divit clan (siblings and cousins and fiancés) snuck into the hospital room so she wouldn't wake up alone. The nurses came in and saw this, they wanted to wake them up so they can leave but they felt bad, they understood why they wanted to be there for her when she wakes up, for support, so she won't feel alone.

During the morning hours Asli opened her eyes a little and saw Aziz next to her holding her hand. She smiled and turned her head and saw everyone else sleeping all over the place. We're am I, why are all the Divits sleeping in my room. She smiled and fell asleep.

Aziz woke up still holding Asli's hand and he kisses it. His parents walk in with Emre and Leyla, the grandparents prepared food for everyone.

SANEM: "Aziz, did she open her eyes at all.?"

AZIZ: "not yet Annem, I hope soon."

Everyone started waking up at the same time.

ELA: good morning Can bey , Mrs Sanem."

CAN: "good morning, how are you feeling this morning?"

ELA: "I'm ok , I had a good pillow."

She smiles and looks at Nihat.

EMRE: "we brought food for everybody, you all need to eat something."

NIHAT: "it looks like our grandmothers cooked for the whole floor."

LEYLA: "yes, it seems that way, they always make extra, we will give some to the nurses to thank them for letting you all stay in Asli's room."

About an hour later Asli started to cry in her sleep.

ASLI: "no more, please, no more, please don't hit me,"

Then she starts screaming for Ela, , Ela , she wakes up. Ela is standing next to her along with Aziz, he's holding her hand and caressing her cheek.

AZIZ: " good morning princess." She smiles at him and tears are rolling down her cheeks

ASLI; "did you all spend the night here last night?"

They all answered at the same time "we did"

She starts giggling and she felt some pain. "Ouch"

The doctor came in to check on her, she was doing well and all her vitals look good. Poor Aziz breathed a sigh of relief.

DOCTOR: "okay Asli, if you're good tomorrow you can go home." Aziz noticed the worried look on her face.

AZIZ: "Asli, you're going to be staying on the farm from now on, both you and Ela."she starts crying

ASLI: "what about him?"

AZIZ: "he's in jail, he won't be going anywhere for a long time, Metin is taking care of everything, so don't worry."

ASLI: "I love you Aziz, don't let go of my hand."

AZIZ: "never my love."

The rest of the day was spent with the Divit family and All, the fiancés. They talked about anything and everything, except about what happened the night before. It was time for everybody to go home so she can get some rest. Everybody said good night except for Aziz.

ASLI: "you're staying aren't you?"

AZIZ: I'm staying I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

ASLI: "Thank you for coming to my rescue again."

AZIZ: "I would do anything for you my love"

ASLI: "would you lay in bed with me and hold tight."

AZIZ: "are you sure, I don't want to hurt you."

ASLI: I am sure." He climbs into bed with her and holds her tightly. And kisses her cheek. "Aziz, did you beat him up good?" He looks at her and kisses her nose

AZIZ: I did, I swear I could have killed him but Nihat stopped me." Asli smiled and scratches his beard

ASLI: " well I'm glad you bet  him up good, but I'm glad you didn't kill him. I don't want anybody dying because of me, but the beating part makes me happy because he deserves it." Aziz smiles and kisses her again.

AZIZ: "get some sleep, where going home tomorrow"

ASLI: "I need my stuff from the house, I don't want to go back Aziz."

AZIZ: "don't worry, my parents are going to go with Nihat and Ela to get everything you both need. And I'm sure my aunt and my uncle and my cousins will be helping. So you're just going to relax and rest when we get home." She puts her face into his neck and starts crying.

AZIZ: "Bebek, why are you crying, I thought you would be happy not going back there anymore."

ASLI: "I am, I just feel so blessed to have met you, and your whole family, I don't know what I did deserve it."

AZIZ: "as my Annem would say, god sees your beautiful heart, and he knew what you and Ela needed, and he directed both of you to us. My love we were meant to be, it our Destiny just like Nihat and Ela."

She smiles and kisses him passionately. I love you Aziz Divit. You're absolutely right, you both along with your family are my future, my destiny.!"

"He hugs her tightly good night princess."
