Chapter 104

The next morning the two families along with Ela and Asli, went out to have breakfast together.

SANEM: "Can, Emre, what are you both thinking.?

CAN: "in all honesty I do feel sorry for what she went through. She really had it tough, I mean her own parents didn't believe her, and they literally threw her out into the streets. Not knowing if she would be okay . It's very sad, but again it's very hard for me to forget what she's done. But I'm willing to work on it."

EMRE: "I feel exactly like Can, can you imagine being thrown out of your home for something that wasn't true, I mean she was forced, and no one believed her not even her family. And to be 14 and no where to go, I think it could mess anyone up., I'm still angry with her, I can't forget everything, but I'm willing to work through it."

ZARA: "baba, uncle Emre, she was literally a child when she was thrown out of the house. She probably felt unloved, she had no where to go and no one she could trust, if you can't trust your parents or your family, who can you trust, did anyone even look for her to make sure she was okay. What she went through could do damage to anyone. I think you both are right, you should work through it together. It won't be easy, but it's the right thing to do." Can , Sanem, Emre and Leyla looked at Zara and smiled "what, why is everyone looking at me like that.

CAN: because, your going to be one hell of a psychologist one day, your sympathetic and caring and that's very important, your willing to listen and help people when you can. Maybe we'll hire you to help us all heal."Zara started laughing.

ZARA: " I'd love to help, but you need to go to somebody who's not family someone who can listen and not judged you or her , they will tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear." Can and Sanem hugged their daughter tightly .

SANEM: "You my daughter are one smart cookie, we're very proud of you, we're proud of all of you here. You all listened to your grandmother without judgment, and you're willing to allow her to be in your lives as a your grandmother. Emre, Leyla, I feel blessed with our children and families."

LEYLA: "absolutely, those Aydin forgiveness jeans are front and center." Sanem and Leyla started laughing

CAN: "excuse us, Emre and I aren't forgiving."

SANEM: "Emre is a little easier on forgiveness, plus your a little of a hot head,"she starts giggling "I would say in all the years that we are married you're seventy percent there." She starts laughing because Emre and Can know that they are being teased. He starts tickling her " ok , ok eighty percent!" And they start laughing . Can whispers in her ear "I'll get you later!" And she smiles and scratches his beard. And she whispers back "What ever you want my big bear."

EMRE: "okay, now that we got that settled on who's forgiving and who's almost there, are we ready to go back to Huma's?" They all agreed, back to Huma.!

Huma was waiting for them, she looked happy to see them, especially the grandchildren. She knew she had a lot of work ahead of her. But she's willing to try if they are.

DENIZ: "grandma Huma, how are you feeling today?

Huma looks at her grandchildren with love and tears in her eyes.

HUMA: "for the first time in my life I feel like a heavy bolder was lifted of my chest. I see you all together and it makes me proud. I know I had nothing to do with Can's and Emre's upbringing, but Aziz and Miriban raised fine men and they raised along with their wives good children."

EMRE: "Huma, I think I speak for Can also, I think it's good that we spoke and cleared the air somewhat."

CAN: "but we have a lot of work ahead of us. Don't you agree?"

HUMA: "I do, I hope we can speak soon. I would like to apologize to miriban and Aziz. If they're willing to listen."

SANEM: "we will talk to them and we will be in touch."

HUMA: "Ela, I gave your mother her release, I found two people that can be here with me . Again I am very sorry for what I did ." She had tears in her eyes. Ela was happy that her mother was coming home with her.

ELA: thank you Mrs Huma, you don't know what this means to me" and she went and hugged her.

CAN: well it's time for us to get going, we have a long trip back. We will talk again" Emre and Can hugged Huma and walked out.

HUMA: Sanem, Leyla thank you. For being who you are, and being the best thing that's happened for my sons." They hugged her and told we will definitely be in touch. All the kids said their goodbyes hugged her and told her they will be back to visit soon.

HUMA: that's all I can ask for." She waved goodbye with tears in her eyes as the left. Huma felt free for the first time in her life.

They were driving home, and Sanem noticed Can was very quiet.

SANEM: "Can, are you okay? Your very quiet"

CAN : I'm okay princess, it's just a lot you know, on the way out when you were still in there with the kids, Emre and I were talking to the butler, he said that Huma never has company, that she's always by herself , and that she didn't hire anyone to help her she just let Hande go."

SANEM: "what, why would she do that, obviously she needs someone with her."

CAN: "she just told him it's time to start doing what's right, it's not about me anymore more."

SANEM: "Can, don't you think it's something how things came about, I mean, Ela being Hande's daughter and her working for Huma."

CAN: I was thinking the same thing , I think someone higher up than us wanted the truth to come out and for Huma to find peace, and for us to find peace."

SANEM: "I agree, you know I feel bad for her not having anyone to visit her, or a family member close by, it's sad."

CAN: "it is Bebek, no one should be alone."

They got back to the farm around dinner time, Can and Sanem are having dinner with Emre Leyla, Aziz and Miriban.  the kids went out to see a movie, and to drop off Hande at her house in the neighborhood. And now it was time to tell Miriban and Aziz what happened with Huma.

AZIZ: " Can son, how did it go, was she miserable as always?"

CAN:"actually you're not going to believe what Emre and I are about to tell you,  we were very shocked by what her life was like before you baba. Actually it's very sad, she has been through a lot, from a young girl."

Emre and Can went into detail and told Miriban and Aziz everything that Huma told them and how she reacted when she saw the grandchildren, and them.

EMRE; "baba she must of had us followed you should see the pictures she had of all the kids in her home, a lot, her home was filled with pictures of the kids from when they were young, up to now, and pictures of all of us together. We couldn't believe it.

Aziz and Miriban were shocked, they really thought Huma was selfish and heartless.

CAN: "baba , Annem, she wants to see you both and ask for forgiveness. Totally up to you, she understands if you don't want to see her. she knows she was wrong."

Miriban had tears in her eyes.  On one end she's so angry with Huma and on the other she feels sorry for her. Because her background made her hard, and uncaring, so we thought.  Aziz sat there quietly trying to take in everything they said.

EMRE: "baba are you okay."

AZIZ: "I'm ok, it's just a lot to process, I feel like Miriban angry and feeling sorry for her at the same time."

SANEM: "on the way out, the butler told Can and Emre that Huma is very lonely, no one visits her, no friends or family, all she has is the people that work for her."

MIRIBAN: "wow, that's so sad. No one deserves that , I truly feel sorry for her. Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I feel this way after everything she's done ."

SANEM: "it a good thing it shows the kind of person you are, a good hearted person who is honest and willing to help those in need even if you are angry with them." Aziz turned and smiled at Miriban

AZIZ: "Miriban my life, that's why I love you so much. Your beautiful heart and soul."

MIRIBAN: "this doesn't mean I forgive her completely, I'm still upset, but I think I'm willing to listen."

Aziz smiled grabbing her hand and kisses it, Leyla and Sanem have tears in their eyes.

AZIZ: "I'm like you, angry but willing to listen."

They agreed that they will figure out something to talk to Huma.

Can and Sanem went back to their house to relax, and process everything that's happened.

SANEM: "Can, are you okay?"

CAN: I think I am, it's getting clearer to me, I feel like Miriban and my baba, and I feel sorry for her that she's by herself, and everything she's been through."

SANEM: " Can, would it be such a bad idea to bring her back to Istanbul and she can live in an assisted living home, there she would have company, she would be cared for. And if you and Emre want you can visit her. And the kids can visit her also." Can looked at Sanem and kisses her softly.

CAN: "You my dear wife have a heart of gold, that's why Miriban was taken with you back then, you're both alike."

SANEM: "Can Divit, you're such a charmer, but you have a good heart to, other wise we wouldn't have gotten along all these years."

CAN: "you think, I think it's you that changed me"

SANEM: I don't think so, it's always been there just dormant." He grabs her and brings her up against his body. And kisses her passionately.

CAN: "I think you owe me something, remember from this afternoon?"

SANEM: " what, did I promise you something, I don't remember," she starts giggling and rubbing his chest.

CAN: "I think you remember very well."

He picks her up and throws her over his shoulder takes her to their bedroom and throws her on the bed and starts tickling her, she couldn't stop laughing "Can, stop." She's laughing very hard, she tries to tickle him back but no luck. "Sanem Divit, we're alone for the rest of the night, so I am going to make love to you. He starts kissing her passionately, and caressing her.

They made love and held on to each other tightly. bebek I love so much sweet dreams my princess."she turns and cuddles into his arms and puts her face in his neck and rubs her cheek on his beard, her favorite spot. "I love you too so much my only one." Good night."
