Chapter 43

CAN: "Sanem how about if we go get you your favorite fish sandwich, you probably haven't eat all day."

SANEM: "I am kind of hungry, only if you eat too."

CAN: "when do I ever say no to food "

They start laughing , they drive to the pier to their favorite fish stand. They get their sandwiches and sit on a bench by the water.

CAN: bebek are you sure you're okay?"

SANEM: " I guess, it's just a lot to digest you know, when he said he killed my parents, I almost died myself Can, how can anyone be so cruel."

Can hugs Sanem and brings her close to him.

CAN: I'm sorry Sanem, I wish I could take away your pain away, I wish you never went through what you did."

SANEM: " life happens I guess , some things are out of our hands." Sanem leaned into Can's shoulder and layed her head on it. She always feels safe and protected when she's with him. They sat there for awhile. Can turns to look at her kisses her hand and says bebek we need to talk, Sanem knew what it was about, it was time to clear the air.

CAN: "Bebek, I'm sorry, I was an idiot. I was selfish, I shouldn't have never went climbing. But I want you to know that nothing happened with Achia, it never could happen and never will, not with her or anyone else. You're my soul mate, no other woman can make me feel what you make me feel."

SANEM: "honestly, deep down I knew that you love me, but I didn't trust her, and I think you knew that and you still went Can, I was hurt. To Tell you the truth, it's wasn't that you went climbing that bothered me, it was the fact that she was with you and I knew she was after you and she's aggressive in her actions. If you would have went with all men I wouldn't have cared. I still want you to do the things you love, that's you, I want you to be happy."

Do you know that night that you came home drunk, I thought you weren't going to be late, so I prepared a beautiful romantic dinner with all your favorites foods, candle lit, did you notice the candles in the bedroom the next day? Probably not, I was ready Can, for you to make me yours, I was devastated when you came home drunk, especially because trashy Achia was with you. I thought you were pulling away from me, I was starting to think that you were more interested in Achia because she likes all that stuff that you like to do."

CAN: Sanem, I'm so sorry, (pause) my actions are unforgivable, but one thing I never want you to doubt you are my soul mate, no one has ever touched my heart like you. I promise you something like that will never happen again. Trust me you are my everything."

SANEM: "Can, didn't you notice that trashy Achia was after you, I don't get it she made it so obvious and she didn't care that we were together, she would flirt with you in front of me and look right at me."

CAN: "honestly, I didn't, I really thought she was just a friend. But then when we got there that's when I noticed how she was acting towards me, I was so angry, I regretted going, but we were already climbing.

When we got back down and we all went to dinner at the hotel pub, she came and stood next to me, I felt like smacking her, I swear if she wasn't a woman I probably would of punched her in the face, she made a pass at me and I got so angry, that's when I turned to look at her to tell her off, and she kissed me, I got so mad at her, I slammed my drink down and told her that only woman I want is home waiting for me and that's you Sanem! And, I told her that from now on she deals with Derin and if she doesn't like it she can leave.!"

SANEM: " Can, I don't want you to lose the account, but I have a feeling, that she's not done yet, she's determined to have you, but I will tell you this, your off limits, your mine, ( she's getting angry and Can sees it but he loves a feisty Sanem) and if she tries anything with you, I will punch her in the face" Can, looks at her and pinches her cheeks and she smiles at him. "I will Can, wait and see"

CAN: I have no doubt my love, but I'll have to tell you I feel the same about any guy that wants you"she looked at him like he had two heads

SANEM: well, that won't happen, men don't look at me like women look at you"

CAN: "you think, men are always looking at you, especially Kaan your publisher. He's very interested in you, and if I wasn't in the picture he would definitely ask you out" she starts laughing

SANEM: Can, no way, you're mistaken. But even if that was the case ( she brings him close and cuddles into his arms and kisses his neck) I love you to much there could never be another." He squeezes her tight " I'm glad to hear that, because I just might have to punch him the face one day." They both start giggling.

CAN: do you want to walk a little before we go home."

SANEM: sure I want to stretch my legs a little bit"

As they're walking along the pier holding hands, they see a couple holding hands. "Can, there is Meryem the nurse I told you about "

CAN: "oh, yes, I met her the other night we had a good long talk the two of us, and that's her husband."

Sanem just looked at him "really" "yes, she's a great person I can see why you liked her" As they got closer to the couple Sanem noticed something familiar she couldn't place it. Sanem went up to hug her. They were very happy to see each other, and her husband was equally happy.

SANEM: Meryem, it's so nice to see you, I looked for you at the hospital after Can woke up, but no one knew of you." meryem laughs

MERYEM: us night nurses, no body pays attention to us." sanem just keeps staring at her and her husband.

"Can, I'm very happy to see you both together. im glad everthing worked out, and people got what they deserved." Can and Sanem just stared at her, how did she know.

CAN: How did you know? Meryem cleared her throat.

Can looked confused and so did Sanem. Meryem smiled and so did her husband they both look at Can and Sanem.

MERYEM: " you two together makes us so happy children. you two have been through a-lot together and fate has tested you both, but you always find your way back to each other. you are each others destiny, we couldn't have been happier for you Sanem (pause) and Can" and she smiles at both of them.

Meryem and her husband hug Can " Can my son it was a pleasure to meet you, take care of our girl, you my son are her perfect match, we couldnt of asked for anyone better." Can just started to understand what was happening he had tears in his eyes. " thank you, I promise I will love her and take care of her till the end of my days " " I have no doubt my son" Meryem and her husband bring in Sanem for a tight hug. Sanem all of a Sudden feels this overwhelming, warmth, and love. she starts crying, and she looks into the couples eyes and she sees tears in their eyes.

SANEM: Mom dad I love you, I miss you both so much."

MERYEM: " we love you too, both you and your sister, and tell her , that Emre is a good man, and were very happy for them both. And Can your parents are good people, Leyla and Sanem have chosen well, and thank Miriban for me, she saved my Sanem by taking her under her wings. Because just like you she was my unique child.  ( Can and Sanem smile) She's special that Miriban, both you and Emre are blessed to have her .  (They looked at their daughter with the warmest smile) its time for us to go, were never to far. we love you all." They waved goodbye and the couple starts walking away and Can and Sanem are just staring at them as they fade away. Can and Sanem look at each other and tears are running down their cheeks.

SANEM: " Can, (shes crying) do you believe what just happened, that was a miracle, I finally feel Peace after there death. They knew all along who killed them. Now they can rest to." Can pulled her in for a hug.

CAN: "I believe that to my love, truly a miracle and we were blessed to witness it"

Sanem looks up at him and smiles and says, " you know Can my parents actually approve of you and Emre" he gets this huge smile on his face and says.

CAN: " you have no idea how happy it makes me that I have their approval my love" Sanem looked at him, and it seemed like he was up to something, but what. " Can Divit what are you thinking about?" "Nothing princess, I'm just so happy, that you saw your parents again and I got to meet them."

SANEM: you know Can, I always knew that even if they were alive and met you, they would have approved, my mom would of loved you, because if I know you, you would of loved my mothers cooking and being the charmer that you are, you would have won her over in a heartbeat." Can starts laughing" he picks her up and hugs her and turns her around. And squeezes her into a bear hug. "Sanem Aydin, I love you so much" "awww my hunky bear, I love you to my one and only."

" anyway let's head home and tell everyone what happened today, and I will tell you about my Conversation with Meryem, all I have to say is she's a very wise woman.
