Chapter 60

Sanem and Can, walk into Ela's hospital room, they were both in shock when they saw Ela, her face was swollen her one eye was practically shut and her arm was broken. Kaan was sitting next to her holding her hand. Sanem and Can walked up to her. They felt so sorry for her, how can people hurt other people like this.

SANEM: "Ela, honey, we're here, don't worry everything will be okay." Ela turned and looked at both of them and started crying uncontrollably, "I'm sorry, this is all my fault, I never wanted you to get hurt Sanem, I swear, I had no choice." she couldn't stop crying , she started hyperventilating and they called in the nurse. The nurse got her to calm down.

CAN: "we will come back later Ela, when you're calmer." Sanem held her hand and rubbed it

SANEM: "Ela, look at me, I kind of have an idea of what happened, but I want to hear it from you, but only when you are ready, and I promise you everything will work out. We will deal with this together."

Ela looked at Sanem, she couldn't believe how good she is to her. With tears coming down her cheeks, she says " no don't leave, I will tell you everything now."

Sanem and Can sat next to her. And Ela started telling them, what happened. How her uncle had borrowed money from a loan shark to pay his debts for the bakery.  But the bakery wasn't making enough money to pay them back with interest.

ELA: " first Can and Sanem let me start from the beginning. When I first started working there I thought I could give the loan shark my check every week to pay off my uncle's debt. But they wanted it all at once. When I saw you Can, I knew you were rich and famous plus you were handsome. so I tried to make you want me, hopefully fall in love with me, so you can help me with my uncle's debt. And then Sanem was in the picture and that made me more desperate. In my life I never acted like I did with a man before the way I acted with you Can Bey, I never even dated anyone before. (Kaan smiled he put his head down he was happy) "Sanem coming from a neighborhood like ours you know what gossip is like."

SANEM: "I do, it's very difficult to have a relationship, for a girl it can be awful, and the gossip can ruin a girl."

ELA: "yes, but my neighborhood is even worse than yours. Anyway, and Sanem I'm sorry I was so mean to you, I just wanted to win Can Bey over for my purpose only and that was very selfish of me, and I truly do apologize." Sanem smiled and squeezed her hand, to go on. " At the barbecue, I was standing at the bar when Achia and Fabri came over and stood next to me.

They started talking about you and Can, how Achia wanted Can and how Fabri wanted you Sanem and your scent. He's obsessed with your scent Sanem."

SANEM: "yes, he would let me know any chance he could."

ELA: I didn't say much, I just listened. But I did say I was also interested in Can bey. But I will tell you this, Fabri is a smooth talker that's for sure, Achia I didn't care for her, but Fabri he made me feel like I was a good friend, I know it's sounds pathetic but it's true.  Or maybe it was just me, I could be pretty naïve sometimes, At the end of the night I left and that was it. The next day he calls me and asks me to meet him for dinner, that he has a proposition for me, so I did.  It started out nice, he was very friendly. And then he started talking about my neighborhood and about my uncle owing over 20, thousand to the loan sharks in our neighborhood. He knew my uncle couldn't pay them back and he was using it as leverage over me. I couldn't believe that he had me checked out, he knew everything about me."

CAN: "he had you checked out because  he wanted to know everything about you so you can do his dirty work for him." Ela was crying, Kaan just kept rubbing her arm and kissing her hand, Can and Sanem were watching them and smiling, they knew these two had fallen in love.

ELA: "yes, he told me if I help him he would payoff my uncle's debt, with the interest owed, if I did something important for him, that his little job proposal would benefit both of us, me saving my uncle and him making a lot of money. And if I didn't agree the loan sharks thugs would probably kill my uncle and take over the bakery."

SANEM: "so you said yes"

ELA: "I did, because I didn't want my uncle murdered, he said after I do everything he would go pay them off for me and clear my uncle."

CAN: "obviously he didn't do it because your uncle is here in the hospital." She nodded yes.

ELA: " he then told me he would pay the loan shark after the launch of the perfume. so the next day I went to the neighborhood to get some pictures for my uncle and then talk to the loanshark and tell him that he will get his money that week, they must of seen me in the bakery, I tried to talk to them but they wouldn't listen to me," she starts crying "that's when they started beating me up, I thought that they were going to kill me" she starts tearing. "I was never so scared in my life." Metin is listening to this, he knows about these loan sharks how ruthless they are, they don't care if they kill and hurt people it's all about the money.

METIN : "Ela, how did you get Sanem's signature?"

ELA; "last week I gave sanem some papers to sign for Fabri's campaign, the contract was mixed in with those papers, I was so nervous that you would look over every copy and then I would be caught, but you didn't, you were in a hurry and you signed everything without looking at them."

Metin and Can looked at Sanem. And sanem just sat there shocked, she signed away her own scent.

SANEM: "wow, I can't believe that, I actually signed my own scent away." Can took her hand and kissed it.

CAN: "Sanem, your to trusting that's why you didn't look over any of the paper work, don't beat yourself up, we will stop him don't worry."Metin smiles at Sanem and says "never sign anything without reading even the fine print." Sanem starts giggling

SANEM: "now you tell me." Can kissed her head and stroked her hair.

CAN: "Ela, how did they get McKinnons campaign."

ELA: "now that was some woman named Aylin, she snuck in one night after you were gone and found Derins computer on her desk and transferred everything on a usb stick."

CAN: "she probably knew Derins password, I can't believe her. Were to easy going at the agency, my father is a good man and very trusting of his employees."

METIN: "true, but you never had any problems before, there was no reason for you not to trust. Well, I'm sure the cameras will show Aylin doing her dirty deed."

SANEM: "I wonder if she was behind the articles in the entertainment page."

CAN: "we will see once she is arrested."

METIN: "all I have to say is, this is big, no one does anything, I will take care of everything."

ELA: "Sanem, Can bey again I'm very sorry about everything"

SANEM: "Ela, you can't go back to the neighborhood to stay, those guys will come after you again, does Fabri know that you and Kaan are together?"

ELA: "yes he does, he saw us together at the launch "

CAN: "well, you will be staying with us in the pool house until everything is cleared up, and when your uncle recovers he's welcome to come to. We don't want Fabri to find you, if he finds out you told us everything which by now he probably knows, he will come after you"

METIN: "yes, and we have to try to arrest that loan shark and his men, hopefully clean up the neighborhood. Ela, are you willing to testify, without you there is nothing we can do."

ELA: "yes, I will, I'm not scared anymore."

Sanem looked at Ela and smiled. "Ela, what you did today was hard, I know, but I'm so proud of you coming forward. And trust me when I say, no one will be pressing charges against you. So don't worry. Get your self better okay." Can and Metin agreed, it took guts for her to come forward.

The nurse came in as they were getting ready to leave.

NURSE: "Ela I have good news, your uncle is of the ventilator, he did wake up a little, his vitals are looking good, it looks like he's going to make it."

Ela just started crying so hard, she was so scared she was going to lose the only family she has.

Sanem started tearing and went over and hugged her.

SANEM: "Ela, I'm so happy for you, I see how much you love your uncle, everything will be fine, don't worry.

ELA: "nurse can I go see him? Kaan will you take me with the wheelchair?" He nodded yes, and smiled.

NURSE: "of course you can, but not too long, because you aren't well yet either okay."

ELA: "I promise, thank you,"

METIN: "Ela, one more thing, when you leave here, you are not to tell anyone were you are, not even your uncle, when he's ready to come home hopefully everything will be over. And you both can go home."

ELA: "Thank you, I won't say anything."

Can and Sanem were on their way home, going over everything that Ela told them.

SANEM: "Can, do you believe this, what's has happened. Even Aylin was involved. Wait till Emre finds out."

CAN: "yes, I'm sure he will be surprised. I never did like her I always thought she was sneaky."

SANEM: " she was friends with Polen, didn't you think Polen was the same way, sneaky?"

CAN: "I guess on some level I did, but I hardly ever saw her only a couple of times a year. For a day or two and I would leave."

SANEM: "I guess, anyway I hope this ends soon, hopefully before the wedding."

CAN: " me too Bebek, are you hungry? How do you feel are you in pain, tired, you over did it today my love "

SANEM: "I'm all of the above my love. Let's get some fish sandwiches and go home, let's ask everyone at home if they want any."

Sanem and Can got home, and told the family everything that Ela told them. Emre wasn't shocked about Aylin, she lied to him many times.

EMRE: "not surprised Can, she might of even been sleeping with Fabri for all we know, you know my relationship with her was just like you and Polen's. So now she will be arrested, good. I can't wait. I told you she's been a pain lately, she was just trying to throw me off, because of what she did, or going to do, she must of known Fabri for a while."

CAN: "probably, dad you're not saying anything, what do you think about all this."

AZIZ: "I'm shocked of course, I knew Aylin was not a good person, but I never thought she would do something like this, and as for Fabri and Achia, there was always something that rubbed me the wrong way, but this I didn't expect." Can's phone rings and it's Metin.

CAN: "Metin, what's up?

METIN: "Can we found Achia, she's being arrested as we speak. As soon as I find out more I will let you know. And also we went looking for Fabri, he wasn't at his office nor his home. I'll update you as soon as I find out anything."

CAN: "thanks brother, do you want me to come tonight to the agency, to help with the security tapes?"

METIN : " no, stay and take care of Sanem, she looked exhausted, she needs you now it's been one hell of a weekend."

CAN: "yes it has brother, and thanks for everything, I'll see tomorrow morning."

It was getting late and Can noticed Sanem falling in asleep on the couch, he picked her up and took her to their room, she was half awake.

SANEM: "you're going to lay next to me aren't you.?"

CAN: "of course my love, here let me help you get ready for bed"

Can was holding Sanem tightly, he couldn't let go..

SANEM: "Can, thank you."

CAN:" for what my love."

SANEM: " for not getting angry with me about signing my scent away." He turns and is looking into her beautiful big brown eyes that had tears in them.

CAN: "Sanem, you were tricked, I would never get mad at you for something like that. I love you don't ever change. You are the most amazing woman Sanem, unique, caring with a huge beautiful heart."

SANEM: "Can Divit I just love you so much I can't wait to be married to you."

CAN: "I love you too, my soon to be wife. Now sleep, it's been a long day with a lot of information, tomorrow is a new day and we will deal with things as they come." They hugged each other tightly Sanem cuddled into him as much as she could.

SANEM: "good night my love "

CAN: "good night bebek, sweet dreams."
