Chapter 66

The next morning Sanem got up to go the hospital early, the nurse informed her that he did well throughout the night and that they're getting him ready to transfer him to a private room. Sanem was so happy, she couldn't wait to see him. She waited in the waiting room until the nurse called her in.

NURSE: "Sanem he's all settled in and waiting for you." She nodded and thanked the nurse.

Sanem walked in Can's room quietly, she saw that he was sleeping, she sat down quietly so he wouldn't hear her, But he heard her and opened his eyes and gave her a huge smile.

CAN: "good morning Bebek."

SANEM: "good morning my love, how are you feeling?"

CAN: "I'm ok , some pain, still a little groggy, but okay." Can saw the concern on her face. "Sanem, look at me, it's over and I'm fine, please don't blame yourself, who is it that always says life happens when you're making plans. The important thing is that it's over and he's in jail and he's gonna be there for a very long time and he can never bother us again."she looks at Can smiles softly.

SANEM: "I love you Can Divit, okay, we start fresh, a clean slate, next week is our wedding. And it's going to be wonderful."

CAN: "thats my girl, Sanem, I can't wait to make you my wife, come and lay next to me on my good side, I need some of your hugs and kisses to heal me faster ."

They both start giggling. "What ever you say my love."

Sanem was lying in Can's arms when the rest of the family, came to visit. She went to get up but he held her in his arms. They looked at each other and smiled.

AZIZ; " son how are you feeling?"

CAN: "good baba, you know me, I can handle the pain, it's not the first time I got hurt this bad."

SANEM: " yes, Can the accident to, but you were in a coma for like three weeks. Did you feel much pain when you woke up, you never complained."

CAN: "not much, I probably healed mostly when I was in the coma, baba was talking about when I was in Africa, I had an accident there, I was climbing and one of my ropes broke and I crashed into the wall of the mountain. I had a couple of broken ribs and I was bruised up pretty bad.  I also got the stitches here by my rib cage. You know the scar you always kiss" and he winks at her. Sanem turns All red and puts her head into his shoulder. "Can, stop", she starts giggling, he takes her hand and kisses it.

EMRE: "yeh Can, stop embarrassing your girl, stop sharing your personal business. Sanem, ignore him."

They all start laughing.

CAN: "okay Emre, look who's talking, didn't you say Leyla was asking you about your scar on your but cheek." Can and Emre start laughing, Can winces from the pain. Sanem and Leyla are irritated with the both of them.

LEYLA: "Emre, you didn't" she was all red and flustered. Emre grabbed her and kissed her.

Miriban was shaking her head. She loves when the boys teased each other, but she feels bad because the girls were embarrassed.

AZIZ: "okay boys, I think the girls had enough. Stop teasing each other and them , look how red they are. Just like you used to get, remember Miriban?" Aziz looks at Miriban and smiles and she gives him a dirty look and then she bursts out laughing. So do the boys and then Leyla and Sanem start laughing.

Everyone had gone home except for Sanem, she was lying next to Can caressing his chest where it wasn't bandaged.

CAN: "bebek, give me a massage like you did last time I was in the hospital, it felt so good."

SANEM: "only if you behave, okay?"

CAN: "I always behave" and he winks at her and kisses her nose.

SANEM: "I brought the cream I made for you, do you want me to use it?" She smiles slyly.

CAN: "Bebek, no need to ask, just do your magic"

Sanem straddles him, takes out some cream in her hands and starts massaging his arms his chest on the good side and his stomach all the way down. She's moving her hands slowly  as she's rubbing him all over. She kisses his lips " how does that feel my love" she hears a little groan. And she smiles.

CAN: "Bebek, you make so hot for you, I swear if we weren't in the hospital I would attack you now." She whispers in his ear

SANEM: "who's stopping you?" He looks at her surprised, "Sanem, are you serious, trust me I don't have a problem making love to you here and now, injury or no injury, trust me I can do it." She's turning all red, he knows she's teasing him to get back at him from this afternoon. She feels how hard he is under her. She leans down kisses him again and gets off of him.

SANEM: "Can, I'm hungry. I'm going to get us some food from the cafeteria. I'll be right back." Can just looks at her starts to laugh, and she does to.

CAN: "you're going to leave me like this?", and he points to his etection. She smiles scratches his beard and says. " payback my love it's only fair." And she walks out.

Can leaned his head back closed his eyes and smiled, god I love that woman. He hears someone walk in and says "Bebek are you back already." Metin smiles and changes his voice and tries to sound like a girl. "Yes, my love, I couldn't wait to see you again." Metin starts laughing and so does Can,

CAN: "funny Metin, although you did sound like a girl." And starts laughing again. Metin cleared his throat. "Okay buddy very funny, how are you feeling?"

CAN: "good, some pain, but the meds help, I'm just glad it's over with. And I'm glad Sanem is safe. That's all that matters."

METIN : "I hear you, so, he's in jail, the judge wouldn't even set bail. My detectives found a lot a dirt on him. He's going to be in prison a very long time, and his business will go under. For sure."

Can breathed a sigh of relief. He's happy that he will be in prison for a very long time."

CAN: "good to hear, thank you for everything Metin, Sanem and I appreciate everything you did for us, I owe you buddy."

METIN : "well there is one thing that I want you to do for me "

CAN: "anything"

METIN: "Derin and I are getting married, and we want you and Sanem as our witnesses, it's going to be very simple, just family and close friends, nothing more."

Can was so happy and Sanem heard him when she was coming into the room, runs over and hugs him.

SANEM: "aww Metin I'm so happy for you both, of course we will be your witnesses, anything you need. When is the big day?"

METIN: "Friday night, just as long as Can is out of the hospital."

CAN: "They told me I should be out by then, so it's perfect, Metin I'm very happy for you both, Derin is a good girl." Can and Sanem could see how happy Metin is, and they're just as happy for them both.

METIN: "well my work is done here, I'm off to see my life. See you guys Friday evening at six at the wedding hall and then dinner at the new club that opened up downtown."

CAN: "we'll be there brother."

Sanem looked at Can and smiled, " it's nice to see the people you care about in love, isn't it Can Divit."

CAN; "yes, princess, now come here and let me give you a kiss, and let's eat our dinner together like two lovers in bed together." Sanem started laughing.

SANEM: "two lovers in bed? How does that work?"

CAN: "I feed you and you feed me, and a couple of kisses in between" she smiles and kisses him on his cheek.

SANEM: "okay, sounds good to me.  Can, do you think they will let me spend the night."

CAN: "I was hoping you would say that, and they will, they don't have a choice, or I will go home with you," he winks at her and smiles.

Sanem ended spending the night the nurses were okay with it.

CAN: "see I always get my way."

SANEM: "mmm I noticed, even with me you do, when it comes to you I can't say no." He smiles and squeezes her.

CAN: "You do the same to me bebek, I was never so easy going. I'm a changed man because of you." She looks at him and starts laughing and so does Can.

SANEM: "yes, definitely a changed man, let's get some sleep, it's been a long day. Good night my love."

CAN: good night princess."

The next day the doctor gave him the all clear, one more night in the hospital and he can go home the next morning.

SANEM: "that's great Can, you can rest for the day, because the next day is Metins wedding." Can is staring at Sanem and smiling.

CAN: "I love the way you get excited about other people's happiness Sanem." She smiled and put her face into his neck and kissed him.

SANEM: "that's because I like to see people I care about happy, and I care very much about Metin and Derin."

CAN: l do too, Metin is like my brother, I would do anything for him as he would do for me."

SANEM: "thats the way Ahan and I are, we tell each other are deepest secrets, she's like another sister."

There was a knock on the door and in walks Guliz, Derin, CeCe, Ahan and Osman. Can was happy to see everyone.

CECE: "Can bay, how are you feeling?"

CAN: "I'm good, I'm going home tomorrow."

GULIZ: "wow Can bay, that's great, oh by the way Ceyda was in she heard what happened and she was worried." Sanem and Can just looked at each other

And start laughing.

SANEM: "I'm sure she was, (mocking Ceyda) Can dear, I was so worried about you, if it wasn't for Sanem you wouldn't have gotten shot." Sanem rolls her eyes. Can pinches her cheek.

CAN: " thats a very good imitation of Ceyda," he starts laughing.

SANEM: "she's gets me so mad, I'm surprised she didn't come to visit you."

CeCe: "oh she wanted to, but we told her visitors weren't allowed."

CAN: "smart move guys, she the last person I wanted to see."

GULIZ: "I don't blame you , she's so annoying. She comes in like she owns the place , and bosses everyone around."

CAN: "don't worry I will put an end to it when I get back." Everyone left and Can and Sanem were watching a movie on TV. Can had fallen asleep, Sanem was watching him, he seems so peaceful. Tomorrow Can Divit we're heading home, I'm am so thankful that this man laying next to me is alive. "Can Divit next week we start our life together as one." She whispers to him so she doesn't wake him up. "I will love you and take care of you till the end of my days" Can heard her, and whispers to her "Sanem Aydin, I will spend each and every day loving you and cherishing you, till the end of my days.  They kissed each other and fell asleep in each other's arms.
