Chapter 126

Infidelity: His Regret, My Revenge – A Twisted Love Story You Can't Ignore

Chapter 126 His smile was strained. I was doomed. His reaction, the dark circles under his eyes–he’d seen the message! My smile froze; I avoided his gaze, coughing awkwardly.“...Slept well. I had a little wine last night; everything was blurry, haha.”

Evan’s expression was cold; the smile was gone, replaced by a knowing glint in his eyes.“Alcohol isn’t an excuse.” Me:“...Really, my vision was terrible, my fingers were uncontrollable, like... like...” I searched for words.“Like I was possessed.”

Evan chuckled.“Keep trying.”

My expression turned earnest.“It was a slip!~~~~~” Even if I’d been sleepy, I wouldn’t have called him “Husband.” Evan seemed to give up.“No need to explain. A slip of the finger today, a slip of the tongue tomorrow. You can’t do things and then deny them, Secretary Wen.” His gaze was like he was looking at a woman who’d cheated and was trying to deny it.

I almost had a heart attack. He thought I’d done it on purpose?! I wasn’t crazy enough to flirt with him!

Zach and Gary were dumbfounded. Didn’t she say she was going to the office alone?

Evan wiped his mouth.“Secretary Wen came up here not just to say good morning, but... to explain the ‘slip,‘ didn’t you?” He tapped his phone.

My heart pounded. He knew I’d come to delete the message? I placed the strawberry mousse on the table.“This cake is delicious. I have nothing else to do. Goodbye.” I turned to leave.

Evan called out, “You’re here, don’t go.”

I stopped, turned, and went back. Evan had Gary open the cake. He took a bite, then took a picture, clicking his tongue.“Secretary Wen, help me take a picture.”

Zach and Gary were even more confused. A cake was weird; now a picture?

I sensed trouble. I saw his inherent scheming. This was my chance to destroy the evidence! No evidence, no confession.

I quickly opened his WhatsApp. His calm voice sent chills down my spine.“Secretary Wen, be careful; don’t accidentally delete anything.”

I stiffened.“...Yes, sir.” I deleted the message. Once is a slip; twice is a habit.

Feeling calmer, I took some pictures.“Done.”

Evan took his phone. Zach was shocked to see his boss post on Moments. OMG! OMG! OMG!!! Gary, calmer, was the first to like it.

“What’s wrong?” I asked Zach, seeing his stunned expression.

He covered his face, shoving the phone in my direction.
