Hey guys, so I'm back. But I'm still unsure when I'll start frequently posting new updates, I'm not going to lie to y'all. I've really hit rock bottom because of losing my cat, but I'm doing my best. So, I came with a proposition, would you guys like me to make a second book, finish this book now and make a second purely for Part 2s and new updates, or would you like me to continue with this one?
Secondly, to the people who commented on my last chapter, thank you, you've helped pull me out of my darkness place, I truly can't thank you enough. And I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas!! And Happy New Year you filthy animals (If you know you know)
Now, Ik this isn't my normal writing. But I wanted to try something new, if you wanna see more of this, vote or feel free to comment!!
Now, onto the story.
~~~
Tw: Abuse, mental/Verbal. Slight physical!! If you don't like it, you can skip to the part where it says â Tw: ends here! â
You currently stand in a large forest! Well, large for a seven year old like yourself, you huffed finally sitting down after hiking for about two hours, your parents, if you can even call them that, were setting up, you're an only child, and that's because your parents didn't want you, how do you know? They don't mind constantly reminding you of that.
â (Y/N!) Get over here!! â your father yelled and you flinched, he sounded angry for some reason, then you remembered, you forgot to pack the sunscreen and mosquito repellent! Your father is allergic to Mosquitoes!! You still don't understand why YOU were tasked to pack those two things.
It's not like YOU were the parent, who should very well be taking care of the child you brought along into this world, you gulped before you slowly approached the two, â You forgot to pack something â your father growled out, â I- I'm sorry, G- Grandma called and I forgot- â you flinched.
Your father raised his hand, â I do not care! You were in charge of packing only TWO small items! â he snarled at you, â It's as if YOU couldn't handle it!! You're the adult!! â you snapped, not thinking of the consequences, â Oh, so you want to snap at me?! â Your father practically roared, â You get to hike to the station AND back, by yourself! â your father ordered.
â NO WAY! I'M NOT DOING THAT!! â you cried out, the station was about two miles, and it'd be dark out soon, â You'll either do that, OR! you'll do twenty laps around the lake! â your father snapped, you froze, why was he doing this? It's not like his allergies were that bad!! You huffed before going to grab your flashlight, it was no use to try to beg your mom for help.
She was already snapping thousands of photos of herself for her â Blog â you grabbed your flashlight, â you better hope I don't get hurt out there dad, I wouldn't want that on my conscious! â you yelled, â Oh I'm fucking counting on it!! â he yelled back at you.
**Tw: ends here!**
You are only halfway into your first mile when you suddenly hear something snap behind you as the sun is almost down, â H- Hello? â you whimper, *Snap* â D- Dad? I- is that you? â you whisper terrified, *SNap*Â you start to tremble, the snapping of twigs was getting closer! You start to pick up the pace.
*SNAp* you start to feel hot tears cascading down your face, *SNAP!* you freeze, your breathing trembling, it was right behind you, you suddenly hear a snarl and slowly turn around to see a wolf standing behind you, it's hackles raised and it's teeth bared, â P- Please... No â you sobbed out.
The wolf only snarled again, slowly approaching, before suddenly freezing and whimpering, turning around and hightailed itself out of there, you shakily exhaled, before freezing, feeling something breathe on your neck, you gulp, slowly turning, only to almost immediately pass out as a large grizzly bear stood behind you.
~~~
You awaken hours later, in front of a large hearth, a nice hearty fire roaring in front of you, you slowly sit up, a sinking feeling deep within the pit of your stomach, â Where am I? â you whisper, before the events of yesterday hit you like a ton of bricks, you frantically feel around your person, no bite marks, no pain, you shakily sigh in relief.
You jump as a door opens, a large, scruffy man walks through a door, holding a lot of firewood, you gulp, terrified and instinctively back away from him, â Shhh, it's okay little tyke, it's okay, I won't hurt ya â he whispered, lowering himself a bit, as if him not towering over you would make you feel safer, he was right, you gulp.
â W- Who are you? Where am I?! â you squeak out, wanting to sob, â It's okay little mouse, my name is Apollo, you're in my hut.... After, we'll, erm.... After.... My pet bear found you â he explained, and you felt skeptical, â you have a pet bear? â you whispered, â Well, he's technically not mine per say, but I.... Raised him since we were young tykes â he explained sheepishly.
You still were skeptical, but you decided, for now to ignore it, â Look, please, can you take me back to my parents? â you plead the tall man, â Ah, maybe in a while, you just woke up, let's get some grub in that tummy! â he cheered before going to grab a large pot of stew.
You decided to just leave it be, your father did say that he was hoping something would happen to you after all, so you might as well scare the crap out of him and your mom, maybe they'd finally start paying attention and treat you better!
â So, little tyke, what's your name? â he asked, â (Y/N) (L/N) â you explained, â Your favorite color? â he asked and you had more common knowledge not to answer that, â Eh, that's understandable â he whispered to himself, before stirring the soup, not much longer you're content and laying on the couch, your stomach full.
â Now that I've eaten, can you please take me back? â you asked, and he looked hesitant, â A- Alright â he whispered before going to grab his flashlight, â Hold my hand little one, it's still dark out as it's four in the morning â he whispered, and you shyly nodded.
After a long while you come across the spot you were attacked and instinctively lean closer to Apollo, your heart beating quickly, â Say young one, might I ask why yer were out so late? Wouldn't yer parents be deathly worried? â he asked and you sighed heavily.
â I'd be surprised if they even did worry about me â you admitted looking at your feet â Why's that little cub? â he asked looking shocked, â Well, I mean- my parents don't really care about me â you admitted sheepishly, unable to look the behemoth in the eye, and his face hardened, â What do ye mean? â he asked.
You weren't looking at him, so you didn't see the crazed, angry look in his eyes, so you explained everything, by the time you were done explaining what happened to have last night's event happen, he held your hand tighter angrily, â I see â he murmured.
You suddenly stopped, hearing two familiar voices, â That's them! â you breathed excitedly, trying to run towards your parents, but you let out a yelp as you suddenly hear the cracking of bones, and turn to look behind.
A large grizzly bear stands behind you, before walking over and gently picks you up by the scruff of your neck, before staring to walk towards your parents, and stands not too far away from them you tried to cry out.
But the bear gently sat you down and put it's large paw over your mouth, â Ugh! I'm in misery!! â your father cried out, â I should've just went with the fucking brat!! Then I wouldn't be so fucking miserable! â (F/N) snarled, â Speaking of which, where IS the little brat? They've been gone for hours â your mother complained.
â Well, Let's hope if the brat is gone, it was at least quick, but couldn't they have gotten back BEFORE they decided to not come back?! â your dad sighed, â Well, it's not like they'd come back too much, we WERE going to give them to the orphanage on the way home â your mother shrugged.
You froze, tears welling up in your eyes, they were just going to.... Leave you? You started to cry into your hands, and the bear snarled before standing up and roared angrily, your parents instinctively froze in terror.
You watched as Apollo, or- (B/N= Bear name, you can name the bear) stalked towards them before charging, â No!! Mr (B/N)! Please don't attack them! â you sobbed grabbing hold onto the large creature's leg, the bear flicked its ear in acknowledgement before gently grabbing you by the scruff of your shirt and walked off.
