Chapter Nine: Meeting Hope

“She loves her papa time.” Bianca said as they sat down on the loveseat. “Mommy, mommy guess what papa let me do today?” Hope jumped up. “Something fun I bet.” Bianca laughed as Hope stopped staring at her and Brody.

“Yep he let me sit on his lap while mowing the grass.” Hope replied as she cautiously approached her mom. “He did, did he?” Bianca smiled picking her up. “uh huh….mommy who’s he?” Hope whispered into her ear.

“Honey this is Brody he goes to school and works with mommy.” Bianca answered her. “Is he going to be my daddy?” Hope asked sounding so sweet and innocent it made Bianca tear up.

She wasn’t sure how to answer her baby girl’s question because she really wasn’t for sure whether Brody was ready to be called daddy by her even though he claimed she was just as much his as Bianca was.

“I would like to be your daddy if you’d let me.” Brody smiled at Hope causing Bianca to cry even harder but they weren’t tears of sadness or despair like she was used to these were tears of pure happiness.

Hope stared at him then to her mother to see she was smiling at her with tear filled eyes. “Mommy do you want him to be my daddy?” Hope asked before showing any emotions towards Brody.

Bianca thought about it for a minute before answering her, “Yes baby I do more than anything in the whole wide world.”  Brody grabbed her hand into his as he beamed at her.  “Ok, mommy if you want him to be and he wants to be then I do too.” Hope smiled hugging Bianca.

Hope pulled back from hugging her mom to wrap her other arm around Brody’s neck pulling him into their first family hug. Mr. and Mrs. Daniels were both in tears as they watched the beginning to their adopted daughter and granddaughter’s future.

Once Hope felt like she was done hugging them she curled back up on the couch with her papa and went back to watching the movie as if nothing had happened.  “Must be nice to be four and not to have a care in the world.” Brody chuckled.

“Not much comes between Hope and her cuddles with her papa.” Bianca laughed. “I can see that.” Brody grinned wrapping his arm around Bianca’s shoulders. “Mommy does he snuggle good like papa?” Hope asked taking her eyes away from her movie to see her mother leaning on her new daddy.

“I’m not sure but I am going to have to find out and you will have to do the same.” Bianca smiled as she cuddled up to Brody. “I am definitely going to enjoy helping you find out.” Brody whispered into her ear sending sparks throughout her body.

Hope watched them for a few more minutes before going back to her movie. Every so often she would turn her head to see what they were doing but once she saw that her mommy was smiling brightly she would turn back to the movie.

Brody watched as the little angel kept an eye on them making sure he wasn’t hurting her mommy. He thought it was the sweetest thing that she was being so protective of her mommy. He knew he would do right by both of them in fact he made it his life goal to ensure they were always safe and happy.

Before the movie had ended Hope was fast asleep right along with Mr. Daniels. “She really is a sweet little girl I can’t wait to do father daughter things with her.” Brody beamed as he watched her sleep.

“I’m glad because that has been my biggest worry about becoming your mate.” Bianca said looking up at him. “I told you I accepted her the moment I accepted you.” Brody replied leaning down and gently kissing her causing both their wolves to go crazy wanting more.

“I know you did but I just had to make sure.” Bianca replied out of breath from their kiss. “I can tell you two need some alone time so why don’t you head on home and we will keep Hope over night.” Tanya smiled.

“Are you sure it’s ok I wouldn’t want to impose.” Bianca said as her and Brody stood up. “Now you know that I don’t mind keeping Hope for you no matter what the reason is.” Tanya said hugging her.

“I appreciate everything you have ever done for us.” Bianca smiled at her. “I expect you to take your butt home and make him yours and only yours forever.” Tanya whispered in her ear. Bianca blushed at what her adopted mother was telling her to go home and do.

“Yes ma’am.” Bianca said as she headed towards the door. “It was nice to meet you and thank you for keeping the little angel allowing us to have some time together.” Brody said as he kissing Tanya on the cheek.

“Pleasure is all mine your highness now you better never make me regret it.” She said as they separated. “You have my word as heir to the throne I won’t ever do anything to hurt either of them.” He said as he took Bianca’s hand.

“Well you two kids go have yourselves some fun.” She said shooing them out the door. Bianca was nervous but her wolf was beyond confident she couldn’t wait to connect with Brody’s wolf in a way that was only meant for mates to share.

Brody’s wolf could feel the connection growing between him and Bianca’s wolf he knew it was only a matter of time before they were joined together as one. Brody on the other hand sensed how nervous Bianca was and knew it had to be because of what that monster did to her taking the one thing she was meant to share only with her mate.

He knew this made her uncomfortable and he wanted to hunt that piece of shit down and make him pay for what he did to her but he also knew that a result of that horrid night was the thing that made her smile the most, Hope.
