Chapter Eleven: Day After Blues

Bianca woke up the next morning every muscle in her body aching she smiled remembering the night’s events causing her to gently rub her fingers across her fresh mark.

She giggled as the tingles spread through her body as her fingers grazed over it. She was in awe of how it made her feel when she touched it but she was extremely curious as to what it would do to her when Brody touched it.

That’s when she realized her mate was missing. She was instantly up and out of the bed realizing that was a bad idea when her legs began to wobble causing her to fall back onto the bed.

Her worry took over as she started thinking that maybe something went wrong and he fled while she was sleeping. She couldn’t help but freak out her mind instantly went to the fact that she wasn’t pure believing it caused the mating not to work.

Her emotions were all over the place as she curled up crying into her pillows one minute and screaming in anger the next. She was thankful that her house was on the edge of the woods away from close neighbors so no one could hear her.

Her wolf was trying hard to sense her mate but something was blocking her from doing so and she began to freak out as well. Too weak to shift she laid deep within Bianca howling in sadness.

Brody had left while his mate was sleeping he knew he should have woke her but she looked so peaceful he didn’t want to bother her. He decided to write a note and leave it on the kitchen table in case she was up before he returned.

He went back into Deadwood to the house his family had setup for him and his brothers letting them know that he was now a fully mated wolf. He knew while he was there he wouldn’t be able to sense Bianca or her wolf due to a spell his father had a powerful witch put over it to protect them.

He hadn’t planned on being there too long so he figured nothing would happen in the time he was gone. “So our brother has become a man?” Damien said patting him on the back.

“So who is the lucky she wolf?” his youngest brother Travis asked hugging him. “She is actually the Alpha of this region’s one and only child.” Brody beamed. “Wow sounds like you found yourself quite a powerful mate.” Lance Travis’s twin said as he pulled him into a hug.

“Yeah she is definitely special.” Brody grinned as his brothers were giving him shit about his mate. He couldn’t wait to introduce her to them knowing they would just adore her and little Hope.

His happiness was short lived when he noticed Damien had a very evil look on his face. “Damien what is wrong?” Travis asked as they surrounded him. “Brody, you’re not talking about the trash from school yesterday are you?” Damien snarled.

He got his answer when Brody pounced on him, “You are to never speak of my mate like that again.” Travis and Lance had no clue what to do because they knew they weren’t a match for either Brody or Damien so they just sat back and watched.

“Wait until father hears how you mated an outcast of society I can’t believe our future queen is going to be someone who has a mutt for a child.” Damien laughed. “Brother I swear if you talk about my mate or my daughter like this again I will rip your throat out.” Brody growled in his face as he held him down.

“Get off me Brody now we both know that I am much stronger than you as I am made to protect you when you take the throne.” Damien said shoving Brody off him. “I’m serious Damien you will accept Bianca and Hope with open arms you know nothing about what happened to her no one does.” Brody said sitting on the couch.

He had hoped his brothers would be excited now he was worried to even bring Bianca around any of them not to mention Hope who he knew couldn’t be brought around until things calmed down.

“Aren’t they all the same? I mean what is there to know she had sex with a human and got pregnant isn’t that why she was banished from here?” Damien asked as he sat cautiously across from Brody.

“Wait your mate had a Halfling child?” Travis and Lance both said as they realized what was going on. “Yes she had a child with a human but he wasn’t just any human he was a monster acted as a friend and when he got the chance he took her innocence against her will.” Brody growled as he felt his wolf ready to come unglued.

“How can a human rape a she wolf especially one with such strong Alpha blood in her?” Damien questioned. “Some how he managed to drug Bianca and her wolf causing her wolf to cower while he had his way with her.” Brody boomed standing up ready to go kill that animal.

“Calm down brother, now I know what she meant by judging a book by its cover I feel like such an ass but still how could you go through mating her knowing that father is going to fly off the handle when he finds out?” Damien said standing up with his brother.

“I didn’t think about any of it I knew from the moment I met her she was special and she still is nothing will ever make me regret what I have done. Now if you will excuse me I need to return to my mate.” He said heading for the door.

“Wait brother know that I am sorry and even though I don’t condone it I am happy that you have found true happiness.” Damien said hugging him. “Thanks I don’t know what I would do if my own family didn’t except my mate and her child. Now if you don’t mind please keep this between us I’d like to be the one to tell father seeing as how I’m sure he’ll be even more pissed if it comes from one of you before me.” Brody said hugging the twins.

“Our lips are sealed.” Travis said acting as if he pulled a zipper across his lips. “Good now I will see you later.” Brody said making his way out the door. He was relieved that his brothers were ok with everything even though it seemed as if Damien was going to be a problem.

“Damien what are you doing Brody asked us not to say anything to father?” Lance said as Damien called their father. “I don’t care what that idiot said I’m not going to stand by and watch him ruin his life over some she wolf mate or not she will not be our queen.” Damien growled locking himself in his room.

Travis and Lance knew this wasn’t going to be good but they weren’t sure what to do because they loved their brothers even though Brody treated them ten times better than Damien but that was just Damien he wasn’t a very nice person.

They thought about calling and warning Brody but they knew having to be in the same house with Damien without Brody there to protect them would be signing a death sentence seeing as Damien already disliked them he blamed them for stealing his spotlight when they were born.

The twins decided to just leave it be figuring that Brody could handle whatever came his way. They were extremely happy for him and wanted to meet his mate and her child more than anyone could imagine plus the fact they were now uncles helped.

As Brody left Deadwood he felt an overwhelming sadness take over his body and wolf. He realized something was wrong with Bianca and he floored his car. As soon as he pulled in the driveway he burst thru the door and sprinted to her room.

As he entered the bedroom he saw his mate in the fetal position crying her eyes out. He instantly pulled her into his arms comforting her. “What’s wrong baby, is Hope ok?” he asked worried something had happened.

“Why are you here I thought you hated me and wanted nothing to do with me?” Bianca asked as she unburied her face. “What, No sweetheart I could never hate you, whatever gave you that idea?” he asked as he comforted her.

“You were gone before I woke up and I couldn’t sense you at all so I assumed the mating failed and you had abandoned me.” Bianca cried. “Oh baby no didn’t you get my note I left you?” he asked brushing the hair out of her eyes.

“No what note?” she asked looking up at him. “Oh no wonder you’re a mess I left you a note letting you know that I went to my house to let my brothers know I had found my mate. You couldn’t sense me or my wolf because of the spell that my father had put on the house.” He said kissing her forehead.

“So you don’t hate me?” Bianca asked as she felt her wolf perking up. “Of course not you are my reason for breathing my everything.” He smiled kissing her mark. She couldn’t even respond because the feeling she got as his lips made contact with her mark consumed her entire body with pleasure.

Brody rolled over so she was under his body as he planned on making her forget the horrible morning she had. He did just that as he kissed her with so much passion she thought she was going to burst.

As they were making each other happy Damien was at home on the phone with his father. “Damien are you sure this isn’t another attempt to take the throne from your brother?” the king asked.

“I assure you father she has a mutt daughter and Brody has fully mated with her.” Damien proclaimed to his father. “What was he thinking why hasn’t he called to tell me this himself?” their father asked. “He wanted to father but he said he was going to wait until he felt the timing was right.” Damien replied.

“I can’t believe your brother would pull this I would expect something like this from you not him.” The king grumbled. “What are we going to do about it father?” Damien asked. “Nothing in fact don’t say a word to your brother about this conversation I am going to wait and see how long it is until he tells me himself in the mean time I want you to accept his mate and her child with open arms and all will reveal itself soon enough.” He said hanging up.
