Chapter Twenty Seven: Leaving So Soon?

“Why do you have to leave? We have only been here a week and you are up and leaving us here alone with your father?” Bianca whined plopping down on their bed. “Babe I'm sorry but I have princely duties to uphold especially when pups are disappearing all over the kingdom.” Brody replied sitting beside her.

“Why can't Damien or some of the royal guards go?” she said laying back. “I am the next king I have to prove to my kingdom that I am right for the position and by doing this I will be putting all our kingdom at ease.” he replied running his hand through his hair.

“What if this is some kind of trick to get you away from us?” she asked pulling him down beside her. “If it is I will know in a day and be back in a couple days besides I am leaving Damien and the twins here to watch over you and Hope.” he said as she laid her head on his chest.

“I just don't feel right something is off I just know it is.” she insisted. “Babe you are just upset that you are going to be away from me and that is natural because we are mates and mates aren't meant to be apart for long periods of time.” he comforted her.

“I want to believe you but I honestly think this is some kind of trick I don't care what you say I believe that your father is sending you on a wild goose chase.” Bianca said standing up. “Babe I'm sorry please don't be mad at me I am just doing what is expected of me.” Brody replied watching her.

“If you are leaving then so are we.” Bianca said heading to the closet to start packing. “What do you mean you aren't coming with me it may be to dangerous.” Brody said following her. “I didn't say we were going with you.” she said as she pulled out her suitcase.

“Where are you going to go?” he asked putting his hand on her suitcase so she had to look up at him. “Alaska.” she said pulling her suitcase out from under his hand. “ALASKA, are you crazy?” he asked grabbing her by the arm. “No now I would prefer you keep it down so no one else knows where to find us.” she said yanking away from him.

“I forbid you leave the castle and definitely forbid you from going to Alaska.” Brody growled. “You forbid me? I'm not your child I am your mate and I am also a mother and doing what I feel is best for my child.” she replied putting clothes into her suitcase. “She is my daughter to and how am I supposed to protect you if I don't know where you are?” he asked holding his wolf back.

“If you were that worried about protecting us you wouldn't be leaving us alone here tomorrow.” she replied carrying her now full suitcase out of the closet. “Bianca stop this is insane. I don't want to be fighting with you the night before I leave.” he pleaded with her.

“Look I have been thinking about this for awhile and your leaving is just proving that my idea to take Hope and leave is best.” she replied walking towards the door. “You don't walk away from me when we are talking.” he snarled standing in between her and the door. “Brody I am going to pack Hope's things and let Sarah know to pack as well.” she said tapping her foot.

“You aren't taking my daughter anywhere.” he snapped as his eyes turned their dark royal blue signaling his wolf had taken over. “She is my daughter and I will take her where I please.” Bianca yelled back.

Before she knew what happened she was laying flat on her back on the bed with Brody pinning her down. She could tell his wolf had full control of him now and he was furious with her. “You will do as I say do you understand me?” he growled his teeth showing as she felt his claws digging into her shoulders.

She knew the only way to calm his wolf would be to just give into what he wanted. “Yes.” she nodded defeated. “That's a good mate now let your wolf out to play.” he grinned. Bianca was reluctant at first because she could feel her wolf cowering deep inside but she had no choice Brody's wolf was becoming far to strong for her to cross.

Once she let her wolf take over she knew exactly what was going to happen. She just cowered down inside while Brody's wolf had his way with hers. She was surprised when she sensed that her wolf was actually enjoying herself.

The next morning she awoke to an empty bed which upset her even more because she didn't even get to say goodbye. As she made her way out of bed she remembered everything from last night especially from the point her wolf gave control back to her and Brody was back in control.

He had pulled her tightly to him kissing her forehead apologizing for everything that had happened. She remembered feeling the wetness of his tears on the back of her neck along with her own that had been a constant stream since her wolf went back inside.

Brody felt terrible for what had happened he tried to keep his wolf in check but he was just too strong and his wolf wasn't very nice to Bianca at all. He knew she was terrified of his wolf now along with the fact that she was upset with him for leaving.

He had no choice deep down he knew that Bianca understood that but she was just scared to be there without. He didn't blame her one bit but he hadn't had a chance to tell her but he had called the Daniels to come and stay with them while he was away. He knew that would help cheer her up some.

He hated leaving while she was sleeping but he knew he wouldn't have been able to to leave any other way. He was thankful that she wasn't hiding her emotions from him last night though because he knew she loved him whether she said it or not and that helped keep his spirits up for his trip away.

As Bianca made her way around the room to get ready to leave she came across a note sitting on her suitcase that was now empty.

My Dearest Bianca,

I am sorry that I had to leave you like I did, I wanted to wait and say goodbye but I felt this was the best way for both of us. I am truly sorry for last night I never meant to hurt you and the way my wolf treated you was terrible. I love you with all my heart. It kills me knowing how upset you are about my leaving but as I have said to you numerous times I had no choice.

Now I know you and how stubborn you are so I took precautions to keep you from leaving while I am gone. First off I alerted Damien, Lance and Travis about your plans so they are to be on their toes at all times not to mention I put in a call to the Daniels they should be arriving in a few hours.

Please don't be mad at me for doing this but I had to ensure your safety along with our baby girls. I don't know what I would do if something ever happened to either of you. I know you will forgive and maybe even thank me for ensuring you stay put while I am away.

Please give Hope my love and tell her that daddy will be home soon. I love you with all my heart and soul.

Brody

Bianca found herself bawling by the time she got to the end of the letter. She felt terrible and wished there was a way she could contact Brody but since they arrived at the castle their cell phones stopped working.

She really wished they had a mind link now more than ever. She wiped her tears away and decided to go and inform Sarah of the change of plans. When she knocked on Sarah's door she heard rustling around and a loud thud before she burst through the door.

“Are you okay?” she asked as the sight before her eyes made her start laughing. “Yep just fine.” Sarah blushed as Damien rolled around on the floor trying to untangle himself from the sheets. “Sorry to interrupt I was just coming to let you know that mom and dad are on their way here and that we are pretty much on lock down but seeing as you are busy we can talk about that later.” she smiled shutting the door.

She laughed as she went to Hope's room. “Mommy look what daddy brought me this morning before he left.” she smiled holding up a beautiful silver tiara adorned with rubies and sapphires. “Oh my goodness that is beautiful.” Bianca said looking it over.

“I know daddy said I am a true princess now.” Hope beamed up at her. “Here let's put it on you.” Bianca smiled fighting back tears of joy. “Daddy said he will give you yours when he gets back.” Hope grinned. “When did you talk to daddy?” Bianca asked wiping her eyes.

“This morning while it was still dark outside he woke me up and took me downstairs and made me chocolate chip pancakes before giving my tiara and telling me to be good for you.” she smiled. Bianca was at a loss of words she was torn between being happy that he spent his last few moments with Hope and upset that he didn't wake her up to join them.

“Don't be sad mommy, daddy said to tell you that he loves you very much and that he will be home soon.” Hope said giving Bianca a giant hug. Bianca wrapped her arms around her daughter squeezing her tightly as if she were trying to feel Brody hugging her goodbye.
