Chapter 49: Most unique autograph (2)
As Lang Xing was about to say something, his phone started vibrating crazily. As soon as he answered, he heard the roaring voice of his agent: âLang Xing! Are you in XXX1 now? Wait there, donât move. I will come to pick you up.â
Even from a distance, Qiao Dai and Cheng Su could both hear the agent from the other end of the call and could guess the man was in a hurry to find his artist.
Lang Xing held the phone a little further away from his ear and raised his eyebrows. He blurted: âHey, itâs late now. What do you need me for?â
The agent quickly replied in one breath: âDo you know how much of a mess you left behind after going missing? If you donât work overtime, how are you going to catch up?â
Although Lang Xing was sometimes unreliable, he also knew his intermittent disappearance caused a lot of trouble for everyone. He glanced at Cheng Suâs calm face and realized he must have told his agent where he was. He sighed and said: âFine, I will meet you at the intersection.â
Lang Xing hung up the phone and while he was not anxious to go, he walked back to Qiao Dai.
âThe bandâs performance is over, thatâs it for today.â He took another look in Cheng Suâs direction and added as if he hadnât meant to offend him: âPresident Cheng, I will trouble you to send your girlfriend back.â
As a wolf, he was used to being alone and he didnât like those messy entanglements.
Lang Xing didnât think much about his words and after he said that, he headed to the door and left the bar, not realizing he was leaving behind two people in a somewhat awkward situation.
Loud music kept assaulting her ears but Qiao Dai felt that the warm temperature of the bar had suddenly dropped to a freezing point in an instant. She raised her head and took a peek at the man next to her; there was no change in his expression and he gently adjusted his tie.
âLetâs go.â
âOh, okay.â
Qiao Dai followed Cheng Su obediently, just like a student following her teacher. She walked all the way with her head lowered and unexpectedly bumped into the manâs back. She looked at him suspiciously, wondering why he had suddenly stopped.
Cheng Su was thinking about his friends and remembered what they had been talking about earlier.
The precious autograph Qiao Dai had written.
Cheng Suâs mind went blank and only this sentence kept jumping over and over again, along with Gu Yanâs proud expression.
It looked like even around him, many people liked Qiao Dai.
Cheng Su suddenly felt a little irritable for no apparent reason. He didnât know why but the more he thought about the autograph and his friendsâ expressions when they talked about Qiao Dai, the more dissatisfied he felt.
Obviously, he was the only one who knew Qiao Daiâs secret.
The girl was startled at first and glanced left and right. She didnât understand where the sudden impulse had come from and didnât know why Cheng Su wanted her signature. But then she nodded and asked somewhat curiously: âCheng Su, do you like me?â
Qiao Daiâs random question reached Cheng Su and seemed to burn his ears. His eyebrows twitched: âWho likes you?â
His voice had raised a few degrees and the people walking by them thought he was confessing and covered their smiles with their hands.
âThen why did you ask for an autograph?â
Qiao Dai frowned and she stared at Cheng Su; his behavior was a little weird. Were killer whales also interested in celebrities?
Qiao Dai blinked. She really couldnât imagine Cheng Su chasing stars; after all, in her eyes, he was a majestic orca. As long as he didnât come to eat her, she had to admit that the man was really awesome.
Cheng Su finally realized that the word âlikeâ in Qiao Daiâs mouth only referred to a fan liking their idol. For a while, he didnât know whether he was relieved or even more irritated because of his reaction. But for sure, he didnât want to answer this question.
He didnât want to tell her that he wanted an autograph because his friends had one. He didnât want her to think they were competing over her like goods. This feeling was not sincere at all.
Although he was very upset that Gu Yan had her signature, Gu Yan liked Qiao Dai unlike him, who didnât âlikeâ her.
When he realized this, his throat suddenly clenched.
âForget it.â
When he truly âlikedâ her, he would ask for an autograph again.
The heavy music kept blaring and people were talking close to each other to hear themselves. Qiao Dai also stood on tiptoe and shouted softly in Cheng Suâs ear.
âCheng Su.â
Her warm breath brushed against him and the man felt a little itchy.
âDonât you already have a signature?â
As she said that, she raised her hand and gently pressed her warm palm on Cheng Suâs chest. Like a butterfly, she quickly moved away after a brief contact but the touch spread through his clothes and across his body.
Little theater:
Lang Xing: Donât cue, I donât want this second male leadâs script, the big boss is too scary!
Cheng Su: Hmph. My stupid little sea otter.
