Chapter 50: Cheng Su’s pet (2)

At eight o’clock in the evening, the official live broadcast room opened and fans of each team poured in, all looking for the most on-date information of the program.

“Good evening, everyone. I am Qiao Dai from .”

A girl in a white short sleeve shirt sat cross-legged on the floor of the dance classroom. She looked like she had just finished practicing; her breathing was a little quick, her fair skin was blushed, and strands of wet hair stuck to her cheeks and forehead, showing a picture of vitality and youth.

[Good evening Daidai!]

[Are you still training? Everyone is working hard!]

Then another tall figure appeared in front of the camera. Lang Xing sat on the floor casually, unlike the petite and proper Qiao Dai. And as soon as he appeared, he took up almost the entire screen.

He raised his chin towards the camera and said: “I’m Lang Xing.”

[Good evening, Brother Langxing!]

The program group had arranged for Qiao Dai and Lang Xing to appear together. They were both the most popular topic these past few days and netizens were still doubting their cooperation; with this live broadcast, the program team was hoping to dispel some negative rumors.

After a brief welcome, the program quickly led the audience to start today’s Q&A session. And since it was an interview, it was impossible to avoid questions like: “Why did you team up?” or “Are your levels matching?” that were being hotly discussed on the Internet.

After listening to the first question, Lang Xing couldn’t help but sneer: “A match? If there is such a person, will you introduce them to me?”

Although his tone was very arrogant, it actually made Sirius fans at ease. Lang Xing’s character was rather offensive and for someone as proud as him, it was hard to believe he would lower his standards and willingly match others.

But as soon as one question was answered, a second came: If Sirius had not agreed to join Qiao Dai’s team because of people pulling strings, then who would be in the C-position tomorrow? Would the performance focus on Sirius instead?

This was what the fans of the Pick Eleven girls were worrying about. Even if they loved these beautiful and hardworking sisters, the difference in strength between the two groups was obvious to everyone. Even if Sirius had no attention to robbing the spotlight, who could say they would not attract everyone’s eyes?

Everybody still vividly remembered the stage where Jiang Fengchi had rescued the first public performance. If it hadn’t been for Qiao Dai’s loud cheering voice, the audience would have not come back to their senses and would have most likely only regarded Lin Xiaoxiao and the others as dancers.

This time, although the audience clearly knew to expect guests, if the guests were too powerful and stole the spotlight, it would be a great disadvantage for the players. In this scenario, if Qiao Dai’s team and Sirius were too outmatched, Qiao Dai and the others would become a foil and not gain anything from this performance.

It was easy for players to perform together because they were all responsible for their own parts in the end. But guests were a different story and the appearance of Sirius had already greatly raised the audience’s expectations. If they showed an average stage in the end, fans were afraid it would have a certain impact on both sides.

This meant that after the other girls had learned Qiao Dai’s team had invited Sirius, they had panicked for a while but quickly adjusted their mentality. She shook her head and glanced somewhat mysteriously at Lang Xing. Lang Xing smiled lightly and nodded in agreement: “That’s right, they are not supporting characters.” He paused slightly and turned his head to Qiao Dai. His eyes were inexplicably provocative as if he was looking at his opponent, and he added: “Of course, neither am I.”

As soon as his words fell, the barrage was mute for a split second and exploded on the spot.

They even felt a little sympathetic; the audience had just been teased but given nothing specific yet. And they had to admit that after the second practice day, the girls had become even more grateful they had chosen this team, which was giving them a completely different experience.

They didn’t know how but Qiao Dai had the courage to try new things every time. This kind of bravery made them rather envious.

Perhaps it was because Qiao Dai had no distractions that she could walk to where she was today.

Thinking of this, Shi Qing and Lin Xiaoxiao smiled and looked at each other, before saying mysteriously to the camera: “We can only say that you will see a very unexpected Qiao Dai.”

Let’s not say more, let the audience discover it in person on the day of the performance.

But it seemed that the viewers of the live broadcast were really doomed to be unable to sleep. Among them, Cheng Su closed his computer and repeated the word “unexpected” over and over again in his head.

What else could she do that was unexpected?
