Chapter 10
Hey Sweetheart
"Shrey, wake up. Wake up Shrey. Your results must be up. Ughhhhhhhh. Wake up."
Sameera was trying to wake up, Shrey. Today was the day results were coming. His results will decide his future. If he passed with decent grades he'll be able to study at his dream college in Canada. If not he will continue to study here.
Shrey, was actually scared of what will happen. He was trying to sleep so he will not check the results. But sometime, he has to check it.
The monster in the house alias Sameera was not letting him sleep. When she became tired, she called her co-monster, to wake up Shrey.
"Old man! Shrithik! He's not waking up!"
She yelled and Shrithik came, folding his sleeves. He looked at the non sleeping figure of Shrey who was acting of sleeping. Not moving his gaze, he ordered.
"Sweetheart, bring a mug of water."
Shrey opened his eyes in the pillow and quickly scurried away from bed.
"I'm up. No need for water."
Saying this he quickly made his way to bathroom.
Shrithik turned to Sameera and smirked.
"My â¹100 sweetheart. I won the bet."
Sameera narrowed her eyes at him. But then sighed and handed him a hundred rupee note.
"Yeah you won."
"Won? You made a bet?" Shrey asked, coming out of the bathroom.
Shrithik nodded and grinned while Sameera's expression was sour.
"She said she can wake you up, but she couldn't. So I won."
Shrey looked at them with a baffled expression. Was that really something to bet on?
"Come on , Shrey. Let's get your confirmation certificate for me to kick you out."
Shrithik laughed and Shrey glared at her.
"Look, she wants to kick you out. But letting me stay. She likes me more. I am a good boy."
Shrithik teased Shrey and he rolled his eyes.
Sameera opened her laptop and entered Shrey's roll number on that Canadian college website.
"How is it? Did I pass?"
Shrey was facing the opposite direction, chewing his nails in nervousness.
Sameera rolled her eyes and replied
"It's loading Shrey. Wait for a minute."
After about five minutes Shrey heard a bang above his head and glitter was covering him the next second.
Sameera removed his hands from his eyes and Shrithik was standing in front of him holding the laptop.
His eyes widened at the sight in front of him. He aced. He passed the test. He can go to Canada.
He reached for the laptop but it was taken away. He looked up to find Shrithik and Sameera standing in intimidating postures. Both their arms were folded and they were watching him intensely. He gulped and stood up.
"Call everyday."
Sameera said poking his chest making him stumble back. He nodded.
"Video call every month."
Shrithik said and both their brows furrowed.
"How will I see you?"
Shrey asked and Shrithik said
"I'll see you. Sweetheart, your turn."
Sameera nodded.
"Don't you dare cheat on Maaya."
Shrey glared at her. And now he was intimidating. He leaned towards her and she leaned back.
"You think I will cheat on her? Really?"
Sameera gave a short nod.
"Canadian women are beautiful. Many people say things like you say, but tend to cheat. Plus it's a long distance relationship. And you are a boy who has his own needs."
Shrey leaned back causing Sameera to come back in her original position. Shrey bended his knees, to come in the position in which he was before.
He made a terrified expression and then said
"Continue."
"Don't forget me, well, you can not. You can make new friends but I dare you to make one as close as me. I'll break your limbs as well as that guys. Understood"
Shrey nodded at Shrithik's warning.
"And one more thing, tomorrow is your visa triel. And five days later you are going." Sameera added.
He narrowed his eyes at them.
"You both knew this before hand, didn't you?"
Shrithik scoffed.
"Ofcourse I knew. Now go inform your girl."

Those five days flew by quickly. Now it was the day of Shrey's departure.
Maaya was happy that he was going to his dream college but sad at the same time. He will leave her for two years.
Both guys were standing beside the door as Sameera was locking it. It was oddly quiet today. They were able to hear their breathings.
"I'll book a cab."
Shrithik spoke as they made their way downstairs.
"No need, old man. I have a car."
She said and made her way to the underground parking lot.
She threw off cover if a car. It was a Black Duster Car.
"You never told us, you had one." Shrey stated.
She scratched the back of her neck.
"Yeah, I rarely use it. Campus is also nearby and I don't like driving much."
"So, are you gonna drive or should I?" Shrithik joked.
"Of course, I will. Invisible."
"Hey, don't call me that. You can see me right. So how am I invisible."
Sameera nodded.
"Right. Now get in, my boys."
They nodded and started getting in passenger seat.
"Noo. Go at the back. Gooo. Shooooo."
Shrithik shoved Shrey out of the way and took the seat.
Shrey on the other hand was very, very confused. Both their behaviours were different today. He muttered something under his breath and made his way to the back.
Her car came to an abrupt stop. Shrey looked out to find a house in front of it. Suddenly the door opened and Maaya came out. Without a word she opened the door and sat beside him.
Saying nothing, Sameera started the car. Shrey looked at her with a expression that read ' you knew, didn't you?'. But she was busy driving. These were the times when Shrithik's invisibility sucked. Now Shrey cannot even see him.
Out of nowhere, he heard a sob. It was Maaya's. His eyes widened.
"Hey why are you crying?"
He asked softly and moved towards her. He took her hands away from her face and tilted her chin up.
"Don't cry."
He said hugging him. She didn't say anything, just continued to cry.
Sameera rolled her eyes at this.
There was no need to cry. It was not like he was dying, now was it? He was just going out of the country for a maximum span of two years. And can't you video call him? There is so much technology. Just use it.
Why crying over just a shitty thing.
She decided, for her sake that it will be better to not interrupt.
Shrithik was totally turned in his seat watching them with amusement. It could make a good scene in a romantic movie.
He will not admit but he loved romantic movies and novels.
Maaya's face was burried in Shrey's chest. His head rested on hers. He was quite. Whole car was quite. Only sound were Maaya's sniffles.
"We are here."
Sameera spoke quietly and parked her car.
Everybody came out.
She was lucky that Maaya was crying otherwise she would have seen car's door opening and closing by itself.
Just 15 minutes were left for the flight.
He hugged Sameera.
"I'll miss you."
He said making her smile against his chest.
"Me too."
Shrey smiled and looked at her with that look that asked where is Shrithik.
Shrithik was really cool with Shrey leaving at first. But as the time came closer, realization dawned upon him. That he will really be leaving for two years. And heck, he can not even face time him.
Sameera took Shrithik by his elbow and lightly shoved him in Shrey's direction. He hugged him and Shrey's hands automatically found his back.
"I'll really- I mean that I am - I'll"
" Miss you."
Shrey completed his sentence and smirked.
Shrithik has been telling him that he will not be a least bit affected by Shrey leaving.
"What are you doing?"
Maaya asked looking at Shrey who was smirking at thin air.
"Nothing. Come here."
He opened his arms and Maaya practically flew towards him.
"Woah. That was a really long jump."
Sameera muttered to herself.
"That was."
Shrithik responded.
The next thing they knew was Shrey and Maaya kissing deeply.
Sameera looked at them with full attention. Her eyes were wide and a very small smile.
Shrithik noticed it.
"You like kissing? Huh? You like kissing. You told me you were not that interested in romance or whatever you said. That's not fair."
Shrithik huffed and puffed out some air. He then pouted and folded his arms against his chest, getting in a position in which angry kids normally be.
Sameera liked kissing. Deep kisses. Sudden kiss. Accidental kisses. She liked them all.
But the intresting part was, she has not even lost her first kiss yet.
Not that she was waiting for someone special. She could have kissed anyone. Many guys liked her, her different attitude attracted guys. But she was never intrested in anyone. And who knows those guys can kiss well. She doesn't want to waste her kisses.
She blushed deeply, very deeply. Probably it was the most dark blush she had in her twenty years of life.
"Aww, sweetheart, you are red. Now stop blushing and seperate them. His flight is gonna leave in ten."
His voice changed with a blink of eye. Sameera jutted her bottom lip out and nodded.
"Come on love birds. Leave each other. I mean he has to catch his flight. Come on Maaya, leave him."
She said to both figures that were ready to kill her.
She grabbed Maaya's hand and led her a bit away. Maaya hugged her. According to Sameera, Maaya was really making a fuss.
Shrey started moving away but suddenly turned back. Maaya was still hugging her so she could not see anything.
Shrey looked at Sameera asking for Shrithik. Shrithik understood and went near him.
"What happened?"
He asked to which Shrey replied by hugging him.
"I'll really miss you. Don't forget me. Remember to call me everyday. What if I can't see you. You are still my best friend and nobody can change that. Don't you ever think that someone can replace you. Okay? Bye."
Without hearing anything he left. Shrithik smiled. Shrey was really his best friend.
"Let's go."
Sameera said. It was intended for Shrithik so he nodded and Maaya hummed.
"Can you drop me to the cafe nearby?" Maaya asked and Sameera agreed.
Sameera opened the passanger seat door. It was for Shrithik because if the door will open and close automatically, Maaya will surely get scared.
Though she opened the door for Shrithik, Maaya sat inside. Sameera looked at Shrithik with a sorry expression but he just laughed.
This time she opened the back door for him and he got in. He desperately wanted to say 'now I can myself open the door. Your friend is already seated' but refrained himself from doing so.
After dropping off Maaya to the cafe she spoke of, Sameera and Shrithik both sighed in relief.
"Your friend likes to sit where I sit."
Shrithik said and Sameera laughed.
"You are right, old man. But I am very surprised how Shrey found and hugged you at the airport."
"Voice."
Shrithik replied and she furrowed her brows.
"What?"
"You know he is my friend for five years. He has practice to find out where I am by hearing my voice. That's why."
"Oh."
That was actually amazing.
They reached their apartment and Sameera parked her car in the parking lot.
There was a strange silence.
Shrithik and Sameera were painfully similar. Both had same music tastes, movie tastes, both were same amount of perverted and liked to do almost same things. Sometimes Sameera wondered if she will end up like Shrithik when she'll be seventy years old. Both were very rational and logical person and never let their emotions control them.
Sameera could tell something was off with him. His brain was working deeply. She decided to not ask him because she didn't like it when anybody interupted her thoughts.
After about five minutes both of them reached to their flat. Sameera opened the door and Shrithik dashed towards his room. Not even glancing back.
Sameera shrugged it off. After about fifteen minutes Shrithik opened the door of his room and Sameera instantly regretted not interrupting his thoughts.
