Chapter 9: The Twelfth Tuesday

I chose The Twelfth Tuesday because everyone needs it. I cannot stress enough how much everyone needs forgiveness. I'm no expert, and I don't fully understand why people get forgiveness, but I do know it's a gift. We don't deserve it, it's given to us (like respect). We choose to forgive someone because we want to.

How do you wholeheartedly forgive someone? You choose to. I feel that if more people forgave each other, then a lot of the problems we have today wouldn't exist.

Albom learned to forgive himself and then others. In that order. To forgive others, we must first know what it means to be forgiven. I know it doesn't make much sense, but it's what needs to be done in this world.

It is because of this fact I learned to remember why to forgive others. We must never forget to forgive each other -- like I've said before, we're never guaranteed tomorrow. Psalms 86:5 says, "You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you."
